Nintendo Switch 2 restocks live — Walmart drop confirm this week and latest update
1. Quick links2. Full retailer listings3. U.K. restocks4. LIVE: Latest updates
Nintendo Switch 2 continues to be a tricky console to buy. Retailers are sold out and the sporadic restocks are being snapped up in minutes when they appear.
The hybrid console launched earlier this month (on June 5) and hasn't been consistently available since then. However, more restocks are on the way, and Walmart has confirmed it will restock Switch 2 on Wednesday (June 25).
In the U.K., supply levels have been significantly better, with more frequent Switch 2 restocks, some of which have lasted for hours, if not multiple days. U.K. gamers shouldn't have much trouble buying a Switch this week.
The Nintendo Switch 2 costs $449 / £395 standalone or $499 / £429 bundled with a copy of the popular launch game, Mario Kart World. In this live blog, we'll help you secure a console at base price rather than having to turn to a reseller charging an eye-watering markup (we've seen some ask for $700+).
Here at Tom's Guide, we've got a team of restock experts who have been helping readers purchase hard-to-find tech items for more than five years. So, if you've got a Switch 2 on your shopping list, stick with us and we'll bring you the latest updates and all the retailer links you need to secure yours ASAP.
Walmart has confirmed it will be restocking Nintendo Switch 2 on Wednesday, June 25. The restock event will initially be exclusive to Walmart Plus members, starting at 9 p.m. ET, before opening up to everyone at 10 p.m. ET. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Walmart
Best Buy last restocked the Switch 2 on June 11. The electronics retailer has been another regular source of Switch 2 stock, but it's currently sold out. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Best Buy

After being absent from the Switch 2 pre-order phase, Amazon U.S. launched a Nintendo Switch 2 listing page last week. But in a very strange move, it's now taken it down again, so at present there are no signs of Switch 2 stock at Amazon U.S. Over in the U.K., the mega retailer has been stocking Switch 2 for weeks and restocked often.
My Nintendo Store is using an invite system to allocate its available Switch 2 stock. You will need to meet specific criteria, including having a Nintendo Switch Online account and then be selected and sent an invite to order the console. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Nintendo Store
Antonline's Switch 2 listings have a "coming soon" message. This could be a sign that the tech retailer is planning to restock the console in the near future, though that message has been there quite a while now, so it's a little puzzling. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Antonline
Newegg's Nintendo Switch 2 pages are live, but there's currently no stock. Newegg may restock the console soon, but nothing is confirmed yet, so this is another one to watch closely for now. Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Newegg
Sam's Club has a listing page for the Nintendo Switch 2, which currently advises the console is "coming soon." This could be an indication that the retailer is planning to take Switch 2 orders in the near future, so be sure to watch this space.

Walmart's digital momentum signals long-term profit growth: Morgan Stanley
-- Walmart's transformation into a digital retail powerhouse has reshaped its earnings trajectory, according to a detailed e-commerce 'Block' analysis from Morgan Stanley. In a note to clients this week, the firm highlighted how Walmart (NYSE:WMT) has evolved over the past decade 'from an old-economy brick-and-mortar retailer being disenfranchised by AMZN' into 'an eCommerce, Retail Media and supply chain disruptor.' Morgan Stanley breaks Walmart's digital evolution into three distinct phases: a 'modest growth' stage from 2009 to 2012; a heavy investment phase from 2013 to 2019; and the current era marked by narrowing e-commerce losses and operating margin expansion. 'E-commerce losses have narrowed to the point of near-breakeven,' analysts noted, as economies of scale, catchment area densification, and the ramp-up of high-margin Membership and Advertising revenue streams take hold. According to Morgan Stanley, the eCommerce 'Block' includes three synergistic revenue sources: online merchandise sales (1P and 3P), Walmart Connect advertising, and Walmart+ membership fees. Though online merchandise is still 'loss-making,' Morgan Stanley sees 'narrowing losses' as scale lowers delivery costs. Advertising income is estimated at ~3.5% of GMV, with '~70% flow through to Adjusted Operating Income,' and Walmart+ now boasts ~15 million subscribers contributing ~$1.3 billion in revenue for 2024. With these elements working together, Morgan Stanley estimates Walmart's U.S. e-commerce unit could generate ~$6 billion in incremental adjusted operating income over the next three years, with margins potentially in the '~10% to ~12% range.' Digital GMV has surged from $59 billion in 2022 to $89 billion in 2024, while ad revenue has increased from $1.9 billion to $3.2 billion over the same period. 'Walmart's digital flywheel supports long-term earnings growth,' Morgan Stanley concluded, forecasting continued strength as high-margin revenue streams outgrow digital sales. Another retail furniture chain closing all stores, no bankruptcy
Quirky stores that sell more than one type of thing have largely gone away. Before the days of malls, shopping centers, and the Internet many towns had a retailer that just fit whatever needs the community had. Many of these were hardware stores that carried a lot more than traditional hardware. Some of them were closer to what we think of as department stores these days. Related: Bankrupt ice cream chain sold to popular beverage owners It wasn't all that long ago that you couldn't get anything you needed in 24 hours using your phone. Even just a few years ago the idea of buying furniture or clothing online seemed ridiculous. Who would buy a bed or a couch without first sitting on it? And, why would anyone buy clothes without the opportunity to try them on. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter Those are actually pretty good questions, but some business in both furniture and fashion has moved online. That means that purchases which once went to brick-and-mortar stores, have gone online. Add in rising rents, higher labor costs, and the increasingprice of many goods, along with the uncertainty of President Donald Trump's tariffs, and you can see why some retailers are pulling the plug. Another regional chain, Trees n Trends, which serves multiple states, has made the decision to close it doors. "Trees n Trends - Home, Fashion & MORE! specializes in unique home decor and accessories, indoor furniture, outdoor furniture and accessories, floral designs, artificial trees and plants, seasonal and holiday decor, women's fashion, unique gifts and more," the company shared on its website., It's a sort of hodgepodge of a mix of items that grew from what the chain's customers need since the original location was launched in 1992. It has a deep history in the communities it serves. "We currently operate multiple retail store locations throughout six states in the southeast, as well as our online store. Our base of operations and flagship store is in Paducah, KY. Each store is about 30,000 square feet with the front third dedicated to one of its core categories, depending on the season," it added. More Retail: Walmart makes drastic change amid alarming customer trendLowe's makes one of its largest ever billion-dollar acquisitionsSubway owner makes major billion-dollar fast food acquisitionAmazon makes a harsh decision amid concerning customer trend Now, the Wallace family, which owns the chain, used its Facebook page to share its surprise decision to close down. "We, all of us, here at Trees n Trends love what we do. But the time has come for us to say goodbye. Over the coming weeks and months, we'll wind down our operations and close all 6 of our locations," it posted. "Updates regarding our closing sale will be available primarily here on our Facebook page, so we invite you to check back with us often." The company's post got hundreds of responses from loyal customers. Many begged them to change their minds. "Can't you just sell your chain to someone, and they can continue your business? Don't you have any grandkids that would love to do that?" asked Teresa Carter Campbell. Another poster pointed out that the closing was likely not by choice or due to the lack of a successor. "It's not closing because they don't want to do it anymore. Increasing costs have made it unsustainable," Cortney Beth LaValle wrote. Many were simply upset at the closing news. "This is one of my very favorite stores! It always has such beautiful and unique items, so yes I'm very sad over this news," wrote Heather Rae Parrish Morris. Related: Walmart exec sounds the alarm on concerning customer trend Linda Jewell Spearman summed up how many of the posters felt. "I have always loved this store. I hated to see the closing of the Franklin, TN store. I hope you know how many people loved Trees n Trends and over the years, came to depend on shopping there, and miss your stores presence. There is nothing here locally that compares. It's a sad, sad day for your customers," she posted. The Wallace family has not shared specific closing dates or plans for going-out-of-business sales.
