Cork art exhibition adds works from highly respected Scottish artist Jack Vettriano
The exhibition will feature approximately 65 works from Irish, British and French artists, and is organised by Colman Dalton, and his wife Marie.
Artist Mr Vettriano was born in Fife, Scotland in 1951 and was regarded as a major player in the art world. He died earlier this year.
His work, In Thoughts of You, will be exhibited in Mallow, and organiser Mr Dalton said it is worth travelling for.
'He is very famous in Scotland and his works would be in museums over there, and his work is very expensive.
'I know some of his work has been sold for over £1m.
'To see work by Jack Vettriano among others [be exhibited] they won't come up again,' he said.
In Thoughts of You was first exhibited in 1997 and is seen as one of the Scot's best works.
Works of the late James O'Halloran will also feature in the exhibition, with 20 of his pieces chosen.
The Clare man passed away in 2014 at the age of 59.
His painting Girl on the Beach will be available to view.
Dubliner Paul Kelly, who now resides in Buttevant, will have 25 works of art on display, including works based on the Cahirmee Horse Fair and Lambay Island, located just off the coast of Dublin.
Mr Kelly recently conducted a study about the horse festival, which contributed to his work.
'I recently did a study on the Cahirmee Horse Fair because it was right outside our door in Buttevant,' he said.
'A major piece of the Buttevant series is one of my favourites.'
!The painting depicts a busy main street flooded with people with horses.
'I got great inspiration from my studies in terms of a gathering of people selling horses and everything that goes on with that.'
Also set to be displayed at the West End Art Studio in Mallow are works by T.S Lowry, George Rouault and Rodo Pissaro, Maurice MacGonigal, Harry Kernoff and George Campbell.
Mr Kelly has donated a piece to the art exhibition to raise funds for two worthwhile charities, Focus Ireland and HART, a local dog rescue.
The raffle for the artwork will take place at 7:30pm on July 23.
Tickets cost €3 each or eight tickets for €20. All proceeds will be divided between the two charities.
