Bjorn Ulvaeus unsure if Abba Voyage will continue if a bandmate dies
Since opening in May 2022, more than three million people have seen the show that brings to life younger versions of the Abba members through digital 'Abba-tars' and a 10-piece live band in a purpose-built arena in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
The influential pop group, also made up of Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Agnetha Faltskog and Benny Andersson, were the first Swedish winners of the Eurovision Song Contest with their hit Waterloo in Brighton in 1974.
Asked on Times Radio if the virtual concerts will continue if a member of Abba dies, Ulvaeus told the station: 'That's a question I've never had before… I honestly don't know, hadn't thought about that.
'It's good you raise that question – I'll talk to the others about that as we need to decide beforehand between us if it's OK for all four of us to go on after we're gone.'
Faltskog and Ulvaeus married in 1971 before splitting almost a decade later, while Andersson and Lyngstad also married and divorced in 1981, a year before the band broke up.
Abba had a string of chart-toppers including Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!, Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, The Winner Takes It All and Mamma Mia!
The group reunited and released their first new music in almost 40 years with Voyage, their ninth studio album, which topped the UK album charts.
Their songs also inspired the musical Mamma Mia!, which began in London in 1999, and became a hit worldwide sensation.
It spun off two movies, 2008's Mamma Mia! and 2018's Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

Drake's three-day residency at London's Wireless Festival concluded on a sour note after the rapper's headline slot ended after 40 minutes. The first mysteriously disappeared from the schedule during the course of the afternoon, with planned performances from Vybz Kartel and Burna Boy going ahead in their allotted time slots. Fans appeared surprised when Drake entered the stage just minutes after Burna Boy had finished, with the Canadian announcing himself to the crowd by speaking to fans. He appeared agitated, which was a departure from his more upbeat attitude from Friday and Saturday night. Drake started his set by playing an unreleased collaboration with British rapper Central Cee, who did not appear on stage to perform but instead mouthed the words from his position in the front row, which was projected across the big screens. The Toronto rapper and singer appeared apologetic throughout, promising to play some of his biggest hits to win over the crowd. He told the crowd: "London, I will love you for the rest of my life," as he raced through a medley of tracks. They included Controlla, Find Your Love and One Dance, which were remixed and updated for 2025, but felt slightly rushed, with their new arrangements making it difficult for fans to sing along. A surprise appearance from Nigerian rapper Rema raised spirits in the crowd, with tracks Calm Down and Fever proving a highlight. But after a brief cameo from Jamaican dancehall artist Vybz Kartel, who had performed to a huge crowd earlier in the day, there was only time for two more Drake solo songs. For the third night in a row, he climbed onto a crane to wave to the 50,000 attendees as Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You blasted through the speakers. After gaining social media traction over the weekend, fans quickly realised it signalled the end of a disappointedly short headline set. Drake already fell victim to the 22:30 curfew on Friday night, with organisers cutting both his and Lauryn Hill's microphones off and replacing show graphics with information on local train stations. He did a better job of keeping timings in check during Saturday's show, but it is unknown whether it was his decision to start his Sunday evening set 45 minutes before the event was due to end. Fans around us expressed their discontent as they shuffled to the exits, with many unaware of the strict local curfews that operate in the park. Some even told us they had spent longer queuing to get into the venue than they'd seen Drake perform. Whilst attempting to leave, we were alerted to scenes of distress at the accessible exit. Fans could be seen and heard pleading with security to let them leave after being told they would have to be held in a restrictive space for ten minutes or until other security gave them the green light. This led to hysteria, with fans attacking the barriers, shouting and pleading that they were disabled and needed to leave. Wireless Festival's organisers have been contacted by the BBC for comment. King Crimson's Manager Warns of ‘Premature' Excitement Following New Album Rumors
As rumors swirl regarding a new album from prog-rock icons King Crimson, the band's manager has urged fans not to get too excited about the prospect. News of a fresh record from the English outfit first came to light last week when guitarist Jakko Jakszyk spoke to Goldmine Magazine about his recent solo album, and his joining King Crimson back in 2013. As we speak, we're doing a King Crimson studio album,' Jakszyk admitted. 'When that will come out and what format or how—that's beyond my brief. But yeah, we've been doing it piecemeal, and then a couple of months ago, the management said, 'Can we?' So, yeah. I've been recording that with a view to it coming out in some format at some point. But who knows when?' Word of a potential new album from the veteran group undoubtedly came as a surprise to many, especially given that King Crimson was viewed as having effectively come to an end following the completion of their 2021 tour dates. In the wake of mounting speculation, manager David Singleton took to social media to respond to the claims that King Crimson have been in the studio. 'Addressing this very question before he died, Bill Rieflin posed the excellent question 'why make a studio album? There are excellent live recordings of all the songs out there already,'' Singleton wrote. 'One possible answer would be an album the very sound of which no-one has ever heard before. A sound driven by the three drummers. And it is true that those drummers have now recorded studio versions of their parts – separately, so that there is perfect separation. 'So there is indeed the seed of a new recording,' he continued. 'Whether it is an album, whether it sees the light of day, whether it is something else is unknown. As is the outcome of any creative process. 'So yes, recordings have taken place. We are building a new studio, and when it is complete I am looking forward to seeing what may, or may not, exist. Getting excited about the possibility of a new album, as has been happening in some quarters, is however somewhat premature. Carts before horses.' King Crimson was initially formed in 1968 by Robert Fripp, Ian McDonald, Greg Lake, Michael Giles, and Peter Sinfiel, with the band releasing their debut album, In the Court of the Crimson King the following year. Initially disbanding in 1974 after seven albums, further reunions would take place throughout the '80s and '90s, with the group's most recent record, The Power to Believe, arriving in 2003. At the time of their last dissolution, in December 2021, Fripp remained the only continuous member from the original lineup, telling Rolling Stone the following year that future tours from the band would only take place 'If I knew for certainty that King Crimson touring was the only way to prevent World War III.'
