Box Office: Why is Jurassic World Rebirth's advance bookings not open in top Indian national chains yet?

Jurassic World: Rebirth, directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Mahershala Ali and others, hits North American theatres on 2nd July and Indian theatres on 4th July. The excitement for the film across the globe is very high. Early projections are that the dinosaur movie will go past the USD 300 million mark at the global box office, by the end of the first weekend itself. For a movie that needs USD 500 million to breakeven theatrically, the expected weekend number should be seen very positively. Jurassic World: Rebirth Faces Hurdles In India; Full Fledged Advance Bookings Still Not Open Despite all that's working in favour of the movie, there are a few things that are going against it. After the setback of getting no IMAX screens, now the movie is struggling to get its desired showcasing in top Indian national chains. Advances for tentpole Hollywood movies begin a week or two prior to the release. Here, the film's limited advance bookings have opened in chains like Cinepolis and MovieMax but not PVRInox, which contributes more than 50 percent of the earnings of any Hollywood feature. Jurassic World: Rebirth Competes With Strong Holdover Releases And New Releases For Screens It is said that the movie is struggling to get its desired showcasing due to strong holdover titles like F1, Maa and Sitaare Zameen Par, and its release rival Metro... In Dino. While it goes without saying that the dinosaur film will be the top pick for Indian moviegoers this week, it is unfortunate that it has to still struggle to get its desired showcasing. One would hope that the screen-sharing issues are sorted and the movie gets a smooth release. Jurassic World: Rebirth Day 1 India Net Projections Based on our tracking, Jurassic World: Rebirth should be opening in the Rs 9.50 - 10.50 crore net vicinity. However, the tracking number can go for a toss if it does not get the desired showcasing. The advance bookings should open in a full-fledged manner by Wednesday, if the movie really wants a shot at a double digit opening. Jurassic World: Rebirth hits Indian theatres on 4th July, 2025. TMKOC's Nidhi Bhanushali On Actors Quitting The Show: ‘Nobody Needs To Give Justification'

Last Updated: Nidhi, who left the show years ago, said she remains in touch with co-stars like Dilkush Reporter, Bhavya Gandhi, and Kush Shah. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah (TMKOC), India's longest-running sitcom, is currently in the spotlight amid reports that lead actors Dilip Joshi (Jethalal) and Munmun Dutta (Babita) may be exiting the show. While the makers have denied the claims, the departure of several popular actors in the past has sparked debate. Former Sonu Bhide, actress Nidhi Bhanushali, recently weighed in on the topic during an interview with Hindi Rush. Nidhi, who left the show years ago, said she remains in touch with co-stars like Dilkush Reporter, Bhavya Gandhi, and Kush Shah. When asked about the buzz surrounding Dilip Joshi, Munmun Dutta, and Tanuj Mahashabde possibly leaving the show, she pointed out that monotony can affect anyone. 'Aap kitne hi time ke liye ek cheez roj kar sakte ho. Everybody has a life and has a right to think about what they want to do for themselves," she said. 'I know the show is big, and it has given recognition to many actors. But at the end of the day, it is work. I don't feel like anybody needs to give any justification for their decision to leave the show." Responding to reports that several actors left due to issues with the show's production team, Nidhi added, 'Aisi kaunsi cheez hoti hai jo sirf acchi hai? Every coin has two sides. Everybody is trying to do their best. I really don't know what to say on this. I chose what I chose when I thought the time was right. And I have just moved on in life." Her comments come at a time when the show's producer, Asit Kumarr Modi, has clarified that both Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta are still very much a part of the show. Nidhi Bhanushali played Sonu Bhide, the only daughter of Atmaram Bhide, in TMKOC. She was loved for her bubbly and cheerful portrayal before she exited the show to pursue her own path. The show, which also stars Amit Bhatt, Mandar Chandwadkar, and Sonalika Joshi, continues to be a staple in Indian households even after 17 years on air. First Published:
