Denmark PM says will do 'everything we can' to help Ukraine join EU
"Ukraine belongs in the European Union. It is in both Denmark's and Europe's interest. Therefore, the Danish EU presidency will do everything we can to help Ukraine on their way towards EU membership," Frederiksen said in a statement, announcing Zelensky's attendance at the official opening of Denmark's EU presidency.

Russia's military advance in Ukraine accelerated for a fourth straight month in July, its greatest since November, according to AFP's analysis of data from the U.S.-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW). Putin says Russia wants lasting peace in Ukraine
Russia seeks a "lasting and stable peace" in Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin said on Friday, adding that Moscow's conditions for peace remain unchanged. Rescue work over in Kyiv after Russian strike, 31 killed: Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced Friday that rescue operations were complete in Kyiv following a Russian strike a day earlier and said 31 people were killed and 159 had been wounded. "Unfortunately, as of now, 31 people are known to have died, including five children. The youngest child was only two years old," he wrote on social media.
