G Milos Uzan withdrawing from draft, returning to Houston
His representation, PNW Sports Group, confirmed his decision with ESPN on Tuesday.
The deadline for players to withdraw from the draft and maintain college eligibility is Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Uzan, who has one season of eligibility remaining, averaged 11.4 points, 4.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds and shot 42.8 percent from 3-point range while starting all 40 games in his first campaign with the Cougars (35-5) in 2024-25.
He made the All-Big 12 second team for Houston, which fell to Florida in the final of the NCAA Tournament.
He scored 22 points in top-seeded Houston's 62-60 win against fourth-seeded Purdue in the Sweet 16, including the game-winning layup with 0.9 seconds left. Uzan also scored a career-high 25 points in the Cougars' 72-64 win against Arizona in the Big 12 tournament title game.
Uzan, 22, transferred to Houston after two seasons at Oklahoma, where he averaged 8.3 points, 3.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 64 games (56 starts) from 2022-24.

"Photo-matching company Sports Investors Authentication matched the shoes to 'being worn by Kobe Bryant on January 28, 1997 -- Bryant's first career NBA game as a starter.' Both shoes are signed, and both autographs include letters of authentication from Professional Sports Authenticator's authentication arm, PSA/DNA." That first start for Bryant came during a road game against the Dallas Mavericks, and on that day, he made five of his 11 field-goal attempts and scored 12 points in 32 minutes. Back in February, the sneakers Bryant wore in 2013 when he tore his Achilles went for $660,000 at an auction. In April, a jersey that was photo-matched to the one he wore during his first regular-season game was sold for $7 million.

ESPN names Ohio State as a college basketball team that could 'make a jump' this season
We are all getting ready for the start of the college football season now just a little over a month away, but the college basketball season won't be too far behind. In fact, we're now within 100 days of the Ohio State basketball season, and ESPN took a big look at previewing hoops for 2025-2026 by looking at many different angles and storylines. One of the things Myron Metcalf and Jeff Borzello touched on was ten teams that "could make a jump" this coming season. And, if you are an Ohio State fan, then you have to like what the ESPN duo things of the Buckeyes this season because they were named as one of those ten teams. OSU was able to retain some key pieces of its core group, but outside of that, there's been a major overhaul of the guys suiting up in the scarlet and gray this season. The mix of old and new will have to come together for the Buckeyes to get back to the NCAA Tournament, but there's good reason to believe that it could happen. Here's what Borzello says about Ohio State this winter: "The Buckeyes showed flashes of their potential last season but couldn't quite string together a consistent run of form. With a terrific trio back in Bruce Thornton, Devin Royal and John Mobley Jr. -- plus the additions of Christoph Tilly and Brandon Noel up front -- Jake Diebler's team should find itself in the NCAA tournament." It sure seems like Ohio State hasn't had a shortage of talent over the last few years, but getting the team to come together and play as a team has been an issue that seems to be a problem in today's day and age of the transfer portal and name, image and likeness. Here's to hoping ESPN is right and that the Buckeyes make it back to meaningful games late and on into the postseason this basketball season. Ex-Knick Marcus Morris Sr. arrested on fraud charges
Marcus Morris Sr. was arrested on Sunday related to fraud charges while in Broward County, Florida, online booking records showed. The NBA player and ex-Knick was picked up on a felony charge of Fraud – Writing a Check with Insufficient Funds, with the report indicating he was arrested at an airport. The online record also indicated that the charge is related to a case in another state and he is being held without bond.
