A former agent told the news outlet, 'She had this magnetic, almost spiritual pull on him.' The person continued, 'Mimi had the brains, the looks, and the belief system – Tom was hooked.'
In the meantime, a Hollywood executive who used to work with the former couple claimed that Tom Cruise 'was obsessed with purity and discipline – that drove a wedge between them.' According to the friends of the star, Mimi Rogers was 'blindsided' by their separation in 1990. An 'insider' said, 'He basically walked out on her overnight.' The person further explained, 'It wasn't about another woman at that point.' 'It was about control, image, and the Church,' they added.
