As reported by RadarOnline, a 'source' told them that the 'Top Gun' star created animosity between him and Rogers due to his obsession with 'purity and discipline.' The news came in the middle of the dating rumors between Cruise and the 'Blonde' actor, Ana de Armas.
Tom Cruise allegedly had an obsession with 'purity', which created a lot of disagreement and strain in his married life with his first wife and actor Mimi Rogers. Per RadarOnline, a 'source' claimed that the 'Mission: Impossible' actor 'doesn't talk about Mimi – ever.' The person continued, 'But anyone who knew him back then knows she was the one who changed everything.' His first marriage reportedly still has a massive impact on his life and love life at present.
As reported by the news outlet, Tom Cruise and Mimi Rogers met each other at first at a party. 'The Rapture' actor was quite established in Hollywood at the time. Meanwhile, Cruise was allegedly an up-and-coming actor in the industry. Per 'insiders', the two felt an instant and 'intense' connection between them. A former agent told the news outlet, 'She had this magnetic, almost spiritual pull on him.' The person continued, 'Mimi had the brains, the looks, and the belief system – Tom was hooked.'
In the meantime, a Hollywood executive who used to work with the former couple claimed that Tom Cruise 'was obsessed with purity and discipline – that drove a wedge between them.' According to the friends of the star, Mimi Rogers was 'blindsided' by their separation in 1990. An 'insider' said, 'He basically walked out on her overnight.' The person further explained, 'It wasn't about another woman at that point.' 'It was about control, image, and the Church,' they added.
