Bang showbiz | Los Angeles
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have finalised their divorce.
The 53-year-old actor had been married to Bridget Jones star Isla, 49, - with whom he has Olive,17, Elula,14 and 10-year-old Montgomery - for just over 14 years when they announced their plans to divorce in April 2025 and on Friday, they spoke of their 'commitment to co-parenting' now that all legal details have been taken care of.
In a joint statement to Instagram, the former Hollywood couple said: 'Our divorce has now been finalised. We are proud of all we've achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children.
'We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy.'
Isla previously called her divorce the 'most difficult thing' she's been through, but insisted at the time that she and the Borat star remained focused on their kids.
She told The Sunday Times newspaper: 'I've learned so much about myself in the process. I never imagined my family being separated, but we are committed and loving parents ...
'Kids are the most important thing, and you want them to really feel safe and loved. We are building a new, healthy version of what our family looks like and putting as much care and love into it as possible.'
Isla also credited her friends with playing a crucial role in helping her to navigate the situation.
The actress explained: 'The women in my life have held me … the female relationships that I cultivated in our business, those women have been there for me. I'm actually going to get emotional.
'I'm sitting here today because of them. I've learned so much about the power of female friendship and I've just learned that I do have resilience, who I am outside of a partnership, and what my values are. It's been this expansive learning curve.'

Scarlett Johansson wary of AI ‘threat'

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Scarlett Johansson doesn't think AI can replicate the 'soulfulness' of an actor or actress. The 40-year-old movie star believes AI has a role to play in the long-term future of the film industry, but Scarlett doesn't think the technology can replace the emotional core of an actor or actress' performance. She told The Sunday Times newspaper: 'I just don't believe the work I do can be done by AI. I don't believe the soulfulness of a performance can be replicated.' Despite this, Scarlett believes AI poses a threat to society more broadly. The Hollywood star explained: 'The bigger picture - about how we human beings, with fragile egos, can continue to have the trust that we have to have in one another, to continue as a society. It's a moral compass. 'We move around the world every day just knowing we have to trust in some basic reality that we all agree on. AI threatens the foundation of that, and that to me is very haunting.' Scarlett began working in the film industry as a child, and she recently acknowledged that child stardom can be a 'dangerous thing'. The actress - who made her film debut in North, the 1994 fantasy-comedy movie - thinks she was 'very fortunate' to come through child stardom unscathed. Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, Scarlett explained: 'Making decisions on your own - like, adult decisions as a kid - it's a dangerous thing, right?' The Hollywood actress has seen other child stars struggle to cope with the pressures of fame and success. But Scarlett is thankful that she 'dodged a lot of it'. She said: ' I lived through that and also was very fortunate that I dodged a lot of it.' Scarlett starred alongside Bill Murray in Lost in Translation, the 2003 comedy-drama movie, and she now views the film as a turning point in her career. She explained: 'After Lost in Translation, every role that I was offered for years was 'the girlfriend,' 'the other woman,' a sex object - I couldn't get out of the cycle.

Miley Cyrus fires back after claims she was ‘rude and dismissive' to her fans

Bang Showbiz | Los Angeles Miley Cyrus appears to have fired back after claims of being 'dismissive' towards fans. The 32-year-old pop star joined supermodel Naomi Campbell for a special vinyl album signing event for her new record Something Beautiful - which features Naomi on the track Every Girl You've Ever Loved - in London over the weekend. A video from the event at record store Rough Trade East shows the two stars chatting amongst themselves behind a table. In the footage, fans can be seen approaching the table from the other side and awkwardly posing for a photo as Miley briefly glances up, smiles and then continues her conversation as they sign the LPs. A fan on Reddit branded Miley 'so inconsiderate and dismissive', while others called her 'rude'. On Tuesday, the Flowers hitmaker seemed to address the backlash as she shared a professional photo of herself and Naomi at the event, as well as several videos of them smiling and interacting with fans. She wrote on Instagram: 'Our vinyl was originally set to drop a week later, but since we were both in London @ roughtradeeast made it happen day of. 'I wanted to gift my Smilers an exclusive experience and unreleased vinyl to thank you for the love you've shown me in the UK over the years. I saw so many familiar faces and met some sweet new ones. 'The record store requested no photos due to the unexpected last minute turn out but we knew the night needed to be captured. 'Thank you @vijatm for snapping those in the moment shots. To everyone who came out to celebrate our single, we love you.' Miley recently hit out at the criticism she received earlier in her career when she shunned her Disney Channel persona for a more raunchy image. Asked what she sees when she looks back at her image from 2013, she told the New York Times newspaper: 'I see adults not acting like it. I would never look at someone that's 18, 19, 20, 21 years old and judge them as an adult, because they're not yet. 'At one point, there was even a petition. It was like 'Millions of Moms Against Miley' or something. 'Isn't that crazy, this petition? In 2013, maybe that performance felt really shocking, but when you watch it back, it really wasn't that wild. I was dressed as a teddy bear.'
