PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2025 reveal time for the PS5 and PS4 games

Daily Mirror10-06-2025
The PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2025 games will be revealed soon, with a slew of PS5 and PS4 titles expected to be announced – here's when the announcement is set to take place
It's nearly time for some fresh PS Plus titles for Extra and Premium subscribers, and if recent surprise reveals are anything to go by, it's set to be a lineup that surpasses all expectations.
PS Plus subscribers have been truly spoilt this past month. The unexpected drop of new PS Plus titles included bonus games such as Another Crab's Treasure and Grand Theft Auto 3 for Extra and Premium subscribers, along with a significant delivery of Essential games.

And it seems the surprises aren't stopping there. The recent PlayStation State of Play reveal gave players a glimpse into what's coming next, announcing that in addition to FBC: Firebreak, gamers can look forward to playing Deus Ex in the Premium tier this month, marking a major release before it had even been officially announced.

Owning a PS5 is proving to be quite rewarding, particularly with our PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2025 predictions suggesting that we could see some real gems added to the subscription service. It's a bit tough that players have to pay for live services while PC gamers don't face the same issue, but at least the top tiers of the service offer great value to players.
The PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2025 games reveal time is expected to maintain the high standard of releases we've seen since the announcement that the PS Plus Extra and Premium May 2025 games would be led by the somewhat lacklustre Sand Land.
Gamers are eagerly anticipating a host of new games expected to be released soon, with many keen to find out what will be added to their game libraries in June – but when exactly can we expect this announcement?
Here's everything you need to know about the reveal time for the PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2025 games.

PS plus Extra and Premium June 2025 games reveal time
The PS Plus Extra and Premium June 2025 games reveal time is scheduled for 8.30am PDT / 11.30am EDT / 4.30pm BST on Wednesday, June 11. This is because Extra and Premium games are always unveiled on the second Wednesday of every month, before being released the following Tuesday, which in this instance is Tuesday, June 17.
If recent reveals are anything to go by, it's set to be an exciting month for the service. Amidst the flurry of game announcements we've seen recently, it'll be refreshing to actually play some games on the PS5 rather than merely daydreaming about them. After all, if they're being offered at no additional cost, we certainly won't be complaining.

Battlefield 6 beta starts with 2 days early access next week, and here's how to get involved

As part of the big Battlefield 6 reveal, EA has confirmed that the game will indeed have a beta and you can try it out for yourself before the end of August. We've had a good look at Battlefield 6 now, and it's certainly sparking excitement, with a return to the elements that made the series so unique in the first place – unbridled chaos and destruction. And you can give it a whirl for yourself in the August beta weekends. ‌ Battlefield 6 has finally been unveiled with its first reveal trailer dropping last week, quickly followed by the multiplayer reveal trailer this week. In the meantime, whispers of a Battlefield 6 beta have been circulating, with leaks hinting at two beta weekends and a couple of days early access before that and lo and behold, they were pretty much on the money. ‌ The Battlefield 6 beta is happening across PS5, Xbox Series X |S and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, EA App) and you'll be able to preload the game as early as Monday, August 4 so if you're participating, make sure to get that downloaded so when doors open, you can just jump right in. ‌ EA has also revealed the PC specs for the Battlefield 6 beta as well as cautioning players on the platform that they'll need to enable Secure Boot to accommodate the company's Javelin Anticheat system. You can check out the specs below. While there were a few methods to secure early access to the Battlefield 6 beta, those opportunities have now passed – but we're not dismissing the chance of more betas with early access, so keep an eye out and be ready for next time, as EA could utilise the same methods to select participants, and we've more details on that below! Here's all you need to know about Battlefield 6 beta early access, the complete beta timetable, what's included, and how to ensure you don't miss it in the future. And remember, although there are no rewards for participating in the Battlefield 6 beta early access phase, you will earn rewards during open weekends, so you're not missing out on much. ‌ Battlefield 6 beta early access The Battlefield 6 beta early access period kicks off on Thursday, August 7 at 8am UTC and runs until Friday, August 8, giving you two full days to get to grips with everything before it opens up to everyone. As it continues straight into the first Battlefield 6 open beta weekend, there's no specific 'end time'. Here's exactly when it starts in your local time: 1am UTC 2am MDT 3am CDT 4am EDT 8am UTC 9am BST 10am CET 11am EEST 4pm AWST 5pm JST 6pm AEST How to get Battlefield 6 beta early access The initial way to gain Battlefield 6 beta early access was to be a Battlefield Labs member (or at least have registered) before Thursday, July 31, which is when the multiplayer reveal trailer was released. Battlefield Labs allows players to trial what EA is developing behind the scenes, making it a win-win situation for all involved. No code is needed – you're simply given access on the EA account you used to register. ‌ EA has temporarily halted sign-ups, but it's worth keeping tabs on the game's social media channels so you can have another go when they reopen on the official website. Given that members received early access to the Battlefield 6 beta, we might see a similar scenario during a potential second beta. The second method, linked to the reveal, involved watching certain Twitch creators during the reveal streams on Thursday, July 31, to secure a Battlefield 6 beta early access code as a Twitch Drop. Watching streams of eligible creators for an hour would've landed you a code that you could redeem to gain early access to the Battlefield 6 beta. I'd suggest linking your EA account to Twitch in the meantime, so you're all set if EA organises something similar again. You can find the instructions for this on the EA website. ‌ Keep in mind that pre-ordering the Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition will get you a beta code, but not for early access. Considering most retailers don't charge for a pre-order until it's dispatched, you could pre-order, participate in the beta, and then cancel your pre-order if you decide it's not for you (or spot a better offer elsewhere). As for the pre-load, it should become available for everyone before the Battlefield 6 beta early access period kicks off, on Monday, August 4 at 3pm UTC which is 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST. According to the PC specs (via EA), anticipate the file size to be around 75GB, at least on PC. What's included in the Battlefield 6 beta? Brace yourselves for the Battlefield 6 beta early access and open weekends – you're in for a treat with a chance to explore some of the nine confirmed maps, dive into four All-Out Warfare modes, and get up close and personal with four Close Quarters Combat modes. While EA is keeping schtum on the specifics for now, and the chatter so far isn't backed by solid facts, rest assured we'll bring you the latest as soon as it's set in stone. ‌ For now, feast your eyes on the full roster of maps and modes that we'll whittle down once we've got the scoop on what's making the cut for the Battlefield 6 beta. Maps Nine maps are hitting the ground running at launch, and we'll be sampling a selection during the beta: Liberation Peak Empire State New Sobek City Manhattan Bridge Iberian Offensive Mirak Valley Siege of Cairo Saints Quarter Operation Firestorm ‌ Classic All-Out Warfare modes These classic modes are fan favourites, and there's even a fresh face among them with Escalation, where "two teams battle over territory at an epic scale": Conquest Breakthrough Rush Escalation Fast-paced CQC Not everyone is cut out for grand-scale warfare. But fear not, EA has got the goods for those who fancy their action fast and furious with Close Quarter Combat modes: Team Deathmatch Domination Squad Deathmatch King of the Hill Stay tuned – we'll update you with the precise details of what you can plunge into once EA gives the green light on the Battlefield 6 beta early access.

GTA 6 in danger of being delayed to September 2026 claims insider

Rockstar's highly-anticipated GTA 6 might be hit with another delay, as an insider claims to know how much it will cost. Ever since Rockstar pushed back GTA 6 from autumn 2025 to May 26 next year, fans have been dreading the possibility of another delay. It wouldn't be out of the norm for Rockstar. The studio is known for delaying its games and while it has rarely done so twice for one title, it did for Red Dead Redemption 2. The western epic was originally slated for 2017, but it was delayed twice before it finally came out on October 26, 2018. A series of job listings earlier this year suggested things were on track for GTA 6, but now an insider has claimed there are 'internal talks' within Rockstar about another delay. In a post on X, insider Millie A, who has a mixed reputation but is known for accurate PlayStation-related leaks, claimed GTA 6 is 'planned' for May next year, 'but internal talks suggest a possible slip to Sep[tember]'. GTA 5 originally launched in September 2013, and considering how successful that was, it perhaps makes sense that Rockstar would consider repeating the same rollout for GTA 6. There have been reports of behind the scenes trouble too. According to a GTA leaker called GameRoll, who previously revealed the last names of GTA 6's protagonists Jason Duvall and Lucia Caminos, the closing portion of the campaign is undergoing some major changes. GTA 6 Update:• Planned release: May 2026, but internal talks suggest a possible slip to Sep• MSRP– Standard: £69.99– Deluxe: £89.99 (early GTA Online access)– Premium: £109.99 (first GTA Online access)• PS5 marketing• Console bundles + PS5/Pro sales promos post-launch — Millie A (@millieamand) July 29, 2025 In screenshots from Discord, GameRoll claimed GTA 6's story would consist of five chapters, in a similar structure to Red Dead Redemption 2, which had six main chapters and two epilogues. However, according to the leaker, the final chapter is in 'development hell', with all the shots from Trailer 2 being from chapters 1-3. They further claim chapter 4 and 5 'still aren't finished' and that 'a huge chunk' of chapter 5 has been cut, so it's being reworked entirely. GameRoll later said this was from 'not a direct source' but a 'friend of a Rockstar developer' – the same person who gave him the information on Jason and Lucia's names. 'Some stuff here may be false, misinterpreted, or complete BS,' they wrote on X. 'I trust the source, but I have no way to prove any of it.' Full list of information given to me by the same source who told me Jason and Lucia's last names:DISCLAIMER: I have no proof of any of this information other than it's all come from the same exact source who told me Jason and Lucia's last names. It is not a direct source. They… — GameRoll (@GameRoll_) June 7, 2025 As his post outlines, it's worth taking all of this with a pinch of salt, especially as trailers usually lean on earlier portions of the game, but a delay certainly isn't out of the question. More Trending Elsewhere, Millie A has claimed the standard edition of GTA 6 will be priced £69.99, but deluxe and premium editions will come in at £89.99 and £109.99, respectively. The former will apparently come with early GTA Online access, while the latter will offer 'first GTA Online access' – presumably some time after launch. While not entirely unbelievable, it would be surprising if GTA 6 doesn't surpass £69.99 for the standard edition – especially in a world where Mario Kart World costs £74.99. Beyond GTA 6, Rockstar is apparently gearing up to release a Switch 2 port of Red Dead Redemption 2, along with a GTA 4 remaster. Email gamecentral@ leave a comment below, follow us on Twitter. The gaming giant is adding a well-known survival title, an anime-based arena fighter and an action RPG to its line-up. 2 The new games of the month include two PS4 titles and one PS5 title Credit: Getty PlayStation Plus members receive three to four new games each month as part of their subscription. In July, the freebies listed were RPG Diablo 4, The King of Fighters 15 and Jusant. This upcoming month, PS Plus subscribers will be able to claim the following three games, starting August 5: DayZ (PS4) Lies of P (PS4/PS5) My Hero One's Justice 2 (PS4) Lies of P, hailed by gamers as the standout hit, is available on both PS4 and PS5. The 2023 action role-playing game, developed by Neowiz, reimagines The Adventures of Pinocchio, an 1883 children's fantasy novel by Italian author Carlo Collodi. The game follows the life of a puppet in a fictional city plagued by an epidemic and a puppet uprising. The player must fight hostile puppets and disease-stricken citizens using melee weapons and a mechanical arm. The other two games members can claim are both PS4 titles. My Hero One's Justice 2 is a fast-paced 3D arena fighter based on the hit anime My Hero Academia, featuring intense battles where gamers control their heroes and villains with special moves. Some gamers on the social media platform Reddit rave about DayZ, with one person even posting: "I picked up DayZ during the first UK lockdown and have frankly not stopped playing since. 'It's like an extra-marital affair at 34 (I do notice a lot of 1987s in the game). "I find it odd to be so obsessed with this hot mess of a game but I love it but it's ruined every single other game for me." Another fan wrote: "It's the intricacy and immersion and the real fear it brings. It's addicting." The new games will come after the month-long celebration of PlayStation Plus's 15th anniversary wraps up on August 4. To celebrate the anniversary, gamers also got a special avatar set featuring characters from fan-favourites like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, God of War Ragnarok and Twisted Metal. The avatars were offered to all PS Plus members across all three tiers of the service: Essential, Extra and Premium.
