Mohit Suri, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's Saiyaara becomes the 7th biggest hindi grosser of 2025, Overtakes Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 and Sunny Deol's Jaat
Mohit Suri
's Saiyaara is proving to be more than just a successful launchpad for debutants
Ahaan Panday
and
Aneet Padda
— it's now a full-fledged box office sensation. With Rs 105.75 crore net in just four days, the romantic drama has officially jumped two spots in the box office rankings to become the 7th highest-grossing Hindi film of 2025, surpassing major star-driven projects like
Akshay Kumar
's Kesari 2 and
Sunny Deol
's Jaat.
Mohit Suri Spills On 20 Years In Bollywood - Ahaan & Aneet, Alia Bhatt Dream Collab & More
The film's day-wise collections speak volumes about its momentum:
Day 1 (Friday): Rs 21.5 crore
Day 2 (Saturday): Rs 26 crore
Day 3 (Sunday): Rs 35.75 crore
Day 4 (Monday - Early Estimates): Rs 22.5 crore
These numbers take Saiyaara's total to Rs 105.75 crore, placing it just behind Sikandar (Rs 110.36 crore) and Sky Force (Rs 113.62 crore). In doing so, it has already beaten:
Kesari 2 – Rs 92.58 crore
Jaat – Rs 88.72 crore
This is no small feat considering Kesari 2 is a big-budget drama led by Akshay Kumar, and Jaat featured Sunny Deol riding high on his post-Gadar 2 resurgence. Yet, despite the lack of marquee stars, Saiyaara has managed to pull in audiences purely on the strength of its storytelling, emotional core, chartbuster music, and a fresh lead pair that has struck a chord with the youth.
What's even more impressive is that this milestone has been achieved in just four days. With no major competition in the upcoming weekend — following the postponement of Son of Sardaar 2 to August 1 — Saiyaara is poised for an uninterrupted run at the box office. If current trends continue, the film is expected to surpass Sikandar – Ra and Sky Force within the next 24 hours, potentially becoming one of the Top 5 grossers of the year by the end of Week 1.
As of now, the top Hindi films of 2025 are led by Chhaava (Rs 585.70 crore), followed by Housefull 5 (Rs 183.38 crore), Raid 2 (Rs 173.44 crore), and Sitaare Zameen Par (Rs 165.49 crore). But Saiyaara has now officially entered the conversation and could very well become the 2nd biggest hit of the year.

The Fantastic Four First Steps Day 2 India Box Office: Marvel's superhero flick grows by just 40 percent on 1st Saturday after mediocre start
The Fantastic Four: First Steps, directed by Matt Shakman and starring Vanessa Kirby, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Julia Garner, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and others, opened to a mediocre Rs 5.25 crore net at the India box office. The pre-release expectations were for the movie to net Rs 8-9 crore on day 1, but screen sharing issues due to strong holdover competition and new releases, along with the superhero fatigue played a spoil sport. The Fantastic Four: First Steps Grows By 40 Percent On Saturday; Nets Rs 7.35 Crore On Day 2 In India On day 2, the superhero flick grew by just 40 percent to net Rs 7.35 crore, and that's not a good sign for its legs. The weekend net collections of the movie will be in the vicinity of Rs 20 crore, and Rs 40 crore lifetime is the best it can manage, given that the screen sharing issues will persist even in week 3, with big Bollywood releases like Dhadak 2 and Son Of Sardaar 2. The Day Wise India Net Collections Of The Fantastic Four: First Steps Are As Under The Fantastic Four: First Steps Heads To Be Yet Another Marvel Underwhelmer In India The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be yet another Marvel flick to not do well in Indian theatres this year, after two duds namely Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*. Marvel doesn't necessarily have to introspect as two out of their three releases have won universal acclaim. It's just that there's a sort of an inertia and it will take a standalone Spiderman film like Spiderman: Brand New Day or Avengers: Doomsday to change everything. The Fantastic Four: First Steps' global weekend will be around USD 230 million, setting it up well for a lifetime total of over USD 600 million, and perhaps even USD 700 million. Saiyaara Box Office Day 9: Ahaan Panday's debut enters Rs 200 crore club, surpasses Housefull 5
Something quite rare is happening at the box office, Ahaan Panday's debut film Saiyaara has not just survived the second weekend slump, it's grown stronger. The Mohit Suri-directed romantic musical, co-starring Aneet Padda, has emerged as a surprise blockbuster of the year. On its second Saturday (Day 9), the film collected an estimated Rs 25.5–26.5 crore, showing a strong 40% jump from its already solid second Friday earnings of Rs 18.5 crore. That takes its total to a whopping Rs 219.25–220.25 crore, according to early estimates. What makes this more impressive? Saiyaara is now only the second Bollywood film in 2025 to cross the ₹200 crore milestone, after Chhaava. Other highly anticipated releases like Sitaare Zameen Par, Raid 2, Housefull 5, and Sikandar couldn't breach the mark. How does it compare with other 2025 hits? Here's a snapshot of the top Bollywood grossers of 2025 (so far): Chhaava – Rs 615.39 crore Saiyaara – Rs 219.25–220.25 crore (est.) Housefull 5 – Rs 198.41 crore Raid 2 – Rs 179.30 crore Sitaare Zameen Par – Rs 165.39 crore Box Office breakdown: Day by day Day 1 – Rs 22 crore Day 2 – Rs 26.25 crore Day 3 – Rs 36.25 crore Day 4 – Rs 24.25 crore Day 5 – Rs 25 crore Day 6 – Rs 22 crore Day 7 – Rs 19.50 crore Day 8 – Rs 18.50 crore Day 9 – Rs 25.5–26.5 crore (est.) What's driving the buzz around Saiyaara? A debut hero, a soulful soundtrack, and Mohit Suri's romantic storytelling seem to be the winning combo. The film's strong word-of-mouth, coupled with a young fanbase and repeat audience, is fueling its momentum. If the pace continues, Saiyaara might just give even bigger films a run for their money. All eyes are now on its 10-day total and whether it can inch closer to the Rs 250 crore milestone in Week 2.

Jr NTR's Bollywood Debut Paycheck South Indian star Jr NTR, who makes his Hindi film debut with War 2, has reportedly been paid a massive Rs 70 crore, as per the same Bollywood Hungama report. This figure marks the highest ever fee for an actor debuting in Bollywood, signaling both his pan-India appeal and the production's ambition to capture audiences across regional markets. Despite Jr NTR's impressive fan base, trade analysts believe Hrithik Roshan continues to hold dominant appeal in the Hindi belt and southern markets, thanks to his legacy roles, especially the Krrish franchise. Supporting Cast Salaries Also Significant According to Bollywood Hungama, the film's lead actress, Kiara Advani , is said to have received Rs 15 crore for her role as Kavya Luthra, while veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who plays a pivotal part, has been paid Rs 10 crore. Although Kapoor doesn't appear in the trailer, his presence adds weight to the star-studded cast. Director Ayan Mukerji, known for helming films like Brahmastra, has reportedly been paid Rs 30 crore. With a reported production cost of Rs 400 crore (excluding marketing), War 2 has become YRF's most expensive film to date — surpassing previous high-budget entries like Tiger 3 and Pathaan. The acting salaries alone account for around Rs 150 crore of the budget, according to the salaries mentioned in the report. The film's trailer, which dropped on July 25, 2025, received mixed feedback but has generated considerable buzz ahead of its August 14 release. As part of the Spy Universe, the movie will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, with plans for a wide IMAX rollout.
