Film On Raja Raghuvanshis Murder To Be Shot Soon: Why Did Family Approve Honeymoon in Shillong? Know All Details
The movie is reportedly titled Honeymoon in Shillong and will be helmed by director SP Nimbawat, known for directing Kabbadi (2018).
Speaking to ANI, Raja Raghuvanshi's brother, Vipin Raghuvanshi, said the family has approved the making of the film and also hopes it will help correct the image of Meghalaya.
'...Sonam damaged the reputation of Meghalaya. This movie will have a positive impact on the state by portraying it in a favourable light. The public should be made aware of the actions taken by the Meghalaya Police against Sonam. The film will be directed by SP Nimbawat, and we have given our consent for its production,' he said.

When asked about further details, such as the cast and release date, Vipin said those would be kept under wraps. He also revealed that the movie will be shot in Indore and Meghalaya and will revolve around the events that led up to Raja's death during a honeymoon trip to Meghalaya with his wife, Sonam.
He added that the script for the film is reportedly complete.
Speaking to ANI, director SP Nimbawat said, '...It is a murder mystery... We will ensure that the movie is good and that talented Bollywood actors play the roles. The shooting will take place in Indore and Shillong.'

What Was the Meghalaya Murder Case?
Raja Raghuvanshi went to Meghalaya on a honeymoon trip with his wife Sonam in May 2025. He went missing soon after, and a search for him and his wife was launched. On June 2, his mutilated body was recovered from a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area (also known as Cherrapunji) in East Khasi Hills district.
Police have arrested eight people, including Sonam- the main accused and her suspected lover, Raj Kushwaha. Three of the accused have been granted bail.

Attacks on Indian migrants are against Ireland's values

Their contribution is not only recognised — it is appreciated and celebrated. That is why Ireland has been so stunned by a number of recent assaults on Indians living in Dublin, our capital city. These assaults have been widely reported, both in Ireland and India, and have rightly caused deep concern across both our nations. As Ireland's ambassador to India, I wish to express our strongest condemnation of these appalling and senseless acts. These attacks — carried out by a small number of young people fuelled by misinformation — are deeply at odds with the values of the Irish people. I understand that each incident reported to Ireland's national police service is being investigated rigorously, with a view to apprehending the perpetrators and ensuring that justice will be served for the victims. The Irish embassy in New Delhi and the Irish foreign ministry in Dublin are in close and continuous contact with the Indian embassy in Dublin to share updates and express our support for affected individuals. We understand the anxiety and concern that these recent incidents have caused, both among Indians living in Ireland and their families back home in India. We are taking this matter with the utmost seriousness. These mindless actions could not be further from the values Ireland holds dear. They have generated widespread outrage across Irish society. They are not representative of who the Irish are as a people or as a country. Following a recent assault on an Indian man in the Dublin suburb of Tallaght, the local community responded by holding a rally attended by hundreds of people showing their solidarity with their Indian neighbours. Shamrock Rovers, Ireland's largest and most successful football club, invited members of the Indian community as special guests to their UEFA Conference League match at Tallaght Stadium. This initiative sent a strong, unambiguous message: Hate has no home in Ireland. The gesture by Shamrock Rovers embodied the Ireland we know — a country rooted in decency, openness and respect. Ireland has long been a nation shaped by migration. Five million people live in Ireland, but around the world, 70 million people claim Irish heritage. We are a migrant nation. This history has made us deeply aware of the immigrant experience and instilled in us a lasting commitment to inclusion and empathy. We are proud of the growing Indian diaspora in Ireland and want to see them live in safety, prosperity, and with a sense of belonging. That is, I strongly believe, the experience of the overwhelming number of migrants, from India and elsewhere, in Ireland. Ireland has long prided itself on its warm welcome and hospitality. 'Ramayana' has been part of Indian mythology for ages. But what if we tell you that it is now being re-interpreted into a series using Artificial Intelligence? Yes, you heard it right! Mumbai-based Cinefai Studios released the trailer for their latest project, 'Ramayana', a few days ago. Kerala Panchayat Booked For Allegedly Killing Hundreds Of Stray Dogs
Kerala: An animal rights activist from the Idukki-based animal rescue team filed a complaint against the Munnar panchayat authorities, alleging they had recently culled hundreds of stray dogs. Following the complaint, police registered a case under relevant sections of the law. A video showing stray dogs being captured and transported in a panchayat vehicle went viral on social media and was aired by several TV channels. The complainant also alleged that the authorities attempted to secretly shift the carcasses from the site where they had been buried. "We received information that the panchayat was making a secret move to relocate the carcasses. We filed the complaint based on that," she said on Sunday. A police officer confirmed that a case had been registered based on the complaint, although no concrete evidence had been found so far. The case has been filed against the driver of the panchayat vehicle. "We have not obtained any evidence to substantiate the allegations yet. The investigation is ongoing," police said. The case has been registered under Section 325 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (mischief by killing or maiming an animal) and provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act. The development comes at a time when the stray dog menace is a growing concern in Munnar, with the panchayat facing pressure and criticism from residents.
