La Tendo's Anime Café, Dimension Poptown, Opens With 'Heaven's Official Blessing' Collaboration In Singapore
For anime and video game aficionados in Singapore, there's no more familiar name than La Tendo. The retail store in Suntec City Mall has grown into a crowd favourite with its wide range of merchandise, including action figures, model kits, can badges, and more, that seeks to satisfy different interests and niches. Now, the brand is setting its sights on a new expansion effort: food. Enter its first anime collaboration café, Dimension Poptown Café, complete with a new theme for every cycle. But there's a catch – the menu is entirely vegetarian-friendly, and its Heaven Official's Blessing opener tie-up offered a promising taste of its future. While collaboration cafés have traditionally focused on experience over food quality, the cosy space, surprisingly enough, features a balance of both. A queue could be seen on its opening day, 25 July, with a cutout of Hua Cheng and Xie Lian greeting fans at the entrance. The merchandise area is nestled behind, where coasters, acrylic stands, prints, blind bag badges, and more can be purchased. Along the way, posters and key visuals of the pair adorn the walls and tables, as visitors are ushered to their seats. Food orders are placed at the front counter, and once done, all that's left is to wait for the dishes to arrive. In any case, there won't be a shortage of visual appeal. Most, if not all, of the menu items bear traces of red/black and white/gold – the main colours of Hua Cheng and Xie Lian, respectively – with the contrast adding to the striking look. Each purchase includes exclusive collaboration merchandise, categorised by the type of food: placemats for the main-course dishes, photo cards for desserts, and acrylic coasters for refreshments. Drinks are priced at S$9 each, coming up to six in total: Fragrance of the Frost (passionfruit with probiotics soda), Elation (mixed berries soda), Golden Elixir of the Osmanthus (honey osmanthus), Dew of the Roselle (rose mixed berry soda), Pure Nectar of the Immortal (mango coconut milk), and Snow-capped Plum Blossoms (strawberry milk foam). As for the remaining dishes, here are the details: Main Dishes (S$24 each) Rendezvous of Sun and Moon: Taro with Golden Mushroom and Konjac Soy Meat, served with Red Rice Roll Match Made in Heaven : Soya meat pieces with green and red peppers, served with Chinese yam, Lily Bulb Soya Milk and Oat Fluttering Amongst the Flowers: Egg crepe, served with cherries Desserts (S$26 each) Beneath the Peach Tree: Fluffy shaved ice with strawberry Token of Trust: Donut cakes, served with vanilla and strawberry ice cream Wishing Lanterns atop the Cityscape: Maple Leaf Cake, served with Flower Mousse The entire lineup was a surprise delight for the taste buds, leaving nothing but satisfaction in its wake. Alongside Rendezvous of Sun and Moon, or more specifically, the red rice roll, the standouts for the other two series are Beneath the Peach Tree, which impressed with a light yet sweet taste profile, and the tooth-shaped Elation, striking a balance between effervescence and fruity tones. The La Tendo X Dimension Poptown anime café collaboration with Heaven's Official Blessing is underway at 3 Temasek Blvd, #03-347, Singapore 038983. 3-Day HoYoFest Singapore 2025 Debuts Artist Alley, Tickets All Sold Out
It wasn't just too long ago that MiHoYo (otherwise known as HoYoverse) broke into the international stage with Genshin Impact , and now, the Chinese company commands a strong presence in the gaming scene. The popularity certainly shows in the strong turnouts for their real-life events — from brand collaborations and pop-up initiatives to orchestra performances, the company is no stranger to generating hype. HoYoFest, established as a yearly celebration of all things HoYoverse, continues to be a tradition for fans. Making a return to Singapore, HoYoFest 2025 welcomes Genshin Impact , Honkai Impact 3rd , Honkai: Star Rail , and Zenless Zone Zero into Hall 406CXD of Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre, with ticket prices starting from S$14. The expanded space means more on-ground activities and fun, but there's another reason for the excitement: fan art. Not only will this year's edition debut its Artist Alley, it also marks the first time a gaming company is allowing fan-created merchandise to be sold at its own event in Southeast Asia. A new stage segment has been included in the programme lineup as well, featuring interactive experiences with the audience and offering cosplayers, performers, and even fan artists to showcase their talents on the stage. As it stands, these new additions have proven to be a hit among the community, with tickets for all three days (25 to 27 July), selling out on the event's opening day. While online sales will no longer be available, fans can try their luck at securing tickets on-site. For those unable to attend HoYoFest 2025 in person, here are some highlights from the first day, starting with the Artist Alley. Arguably the biggest draw on the showfloor, the Artist Alley threatened to empty wallets with a generous merchandise selection, including standard fare such as keychains, acrylic stands, and prints, alongside handicrafts like crochet products and character-themed cups. Barely a few hours in, and 'sold out' signs were already placed on several booths, with the crowd growing larger as time passed, making navigation more difficult and congested. The official merchandise area enjoyed its fair share of enthusiasm, too. Even as doors opened at 11am (and at 10am for Fast Pass holders), exclusive offerings were quickly snapped up, leaving little to no stock behind on the shelves. During the 11am to 12pm timeslot, only about five blind packs comprising past HoYoFest exclusives remained, out of the full range listed below: Genshin Impact Chibi Acrylic Standee (S$11) Tote Bag with Badge Series (S$25) Honkai Impact 3 Chibi Acrylic Standee (S$11) Chibi Mouse Pad (S$18) Chibi Keychain Blind Bag (S$6.50, random design) Chibi Mouse Pad (S$18) Badge Series (S$12) Honkai: Star Rail Chibi Acrylic Standee (S$11) Acrylic Puzzle-shaped Magnet Fullset (S$55) Acrylic Puzzle-shaped Magnet Blind Bag (S$11) Zenless Zone Zero Chibi Acrylic Standee (S$11) Chibi Acrylic Keychain (S$12) For non-exclusive goods, the available options run from soft toys and badges to character stands and even pillows. Merchandise specific to each title is also up for grabs – the Zenless Zone Zero lineup, for instance, features finger skateboard charms and Bangoo plush massage hammers, while tissue box holders in the shape of Ruan Mei's cat cakes are part of the Honkai: Star Rail selection. Score a free postcard by purchasing one or more items at the official store, plus an additional paper bag when a minimum of S$20 is spent. Over to the stage area, various activities are set to take place at allocated time slots. Genshin Impact , Honkai: Star Rail , and Zenless Zone Zero will have their own dedicated showcases, joining an open dance floor, a cosplayer gathering, open-stage performances, and more on the roster. As with previous years, hands-on booths allow attendees to experience HoYoverse games on different platforms, including the Apple Vision Pro headset. Carrying over from last year, the stamp rally invites fans to collect all five stamps and redeem a free HoYoFest-themed instant photo at the photo booth. Only one stamp can be earned from completing activities in a zone themed after Genshin Impact , Honkai: Star Rail , Genshin Impact , Honkai Impact 3rd , or Zenless Zone Zero , and the HoYoverse Experience Zone. Here's a look at the full haul obtained for finishing all challenges: Natlan is front and centre of the Genshin Impact booth, where Baby Saurians await to be knocked down in three attempts. Completing the challenge earns participants Baby Saurian hairclips (random design), one of the three offline rewards available – the hologram ticket with in-game rewards is given by showing their game UID, while posting a photo with any booth elements on any social media platform grants a character photo card. In celebration of the latest Version 3.4 release, Honkai: Star Rail puts Phainon and Amphoreus into focus. Show your game UID to the on-site staff via the in-game client or HoYoLab and receive a holographic ticket, complete daily active missions to earn a postcard, and follow the official social channels and share game-related posts to score a character card. Stealing hearts with its adorable demeanour, the Amillion Bangboo stands alongside both old and newer Zenless Zone Zero faces, from Nicole and Ellen Joe to Yi Xuan and Yuzuha (who also gets her own standee). Three challenges lay in wait here – take photos featuring booth elements and share them on social media to receive a lenticular card blind bag, show your UID to on-site staff for a holographic ticket, and follow the official Facebook account to redeem a random photocard bookmark. As a bonus, those who cosplay as a Zenless Zone Zero character and share on social media will walk away with a Bangboo headband. A Erdős Helia cutout greets Captains at the Honkai Impact 3rd installation, where they have to show their game UID to claim an event-exclusive laser ticket, personalise their share image on the HoYoFest website and share it on social media for Coins and an in-game keychain, and share photos of booth elements on social media for a surprise. HoYoFest 2025 takes place from 25 to 27 July at Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hall 406CXD. Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse
Where some traditions die out over time, others have shaped the core identity of a product iteration since the beginning, and in the case of gaming peripheral giant Razer, its offerings are always categorised into different nomenclature, with its series of mice taking after various snake species and offering a specific expertise. The modular side panels of the Naga lineup, for instance, keep MMO – short for multiplayer massive online (games) – players in mind, while its Basilisk counterpart is rooted in customisation and ergonomic comfort. For fans of the first-person shooter (FPS) genre or esports enthusiasts, there's no more familiar presence than the DeathAdder. Like its reptilian namesake, the mouse is built to be fast, precise, and deadly, having cemented its reputation as an esports darling over the years. The latest addition to the family, the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro, continues to do what it does best, making an already competent powerhouse even better with incremental yet effective upgrades. It can be difficult to tell it apart from the previous generations, though, as unlike the industry norm of adorning gaming paraphernalia with RGB lighting, the rodent takes after its predecessor's no-frills design, which its Viper V3 Pro cousin also adopts. The body is entirely black, featuring a ridged scroll wheel sitting between the two clickers, with two more flanking the left side. The lack of side buttons on the other end makes the DeathAdder V4 Pro strictly for right-handed use, but that's no different from previous versions. Similarly, the power-button-cum-DPI-switch retains its placement at the base, alongside the Focus Pro 45K second-generation optical sensor that marks an upgrade from the Focus Pro 30K. At 56 grams (and 57 grams for the white iteration, attributed to the paint job ), it's the lightest member in the lineup to date. To put things into perspective, 56 grams comes up to around the mass of a tennis ball, as listed by the International Tennis Federation, or a little under three alkaline AA batteries. In comparison, its predecessor tipped the scales at 63 grams, and the featherlight body certainly translates when held – just the slightest of effort is enough to lift the mouse off a surface. Part of that is attributed to the removal of bells and whistles like RGB, as mentioned earlier, which can add heft to extra weight and drain battery life. A product of the fat-trimming process, the plastic chassis gives off a less-than-premium impression and is highly susceptible to oil residue, especially for users who favour a palm grip. The solid build serves as compensation, with the gentle slope making for a comfortable fit in the hand and accommodating different grip preferences, particularly the palm and claw styles. As someone who switches between the claw and fingertip grip, it was observed that the latter worked well on the DeathAdder V4 Pro, too. These minute refinements may seem excessive, but those of the competitive spirit will know that every detail matters. Like before, the polling rate tops out at an impressive 8,000Hz, reducing the delay from data transmission per second from one millisecond at 1,000 Hz to one-eighth of a millisecond, leading to theoretically faster speeds. Even if the casual player likely won't reap the full benefits, it's still nice to have the option to toggle between six default settings: 125Hz, 500Hz, 1,000Hz (standard), 2,000Hz, 4,000Hz, and 8,000Hz. Credit goes to a redesigned dongle for the lightning-fast response, now sporting a hemisphere-shaped form factor instead of the traditional trapezium look. Marking the most significant revamp in Razer's ecosystem in over a decade, the HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 dongle offers added stability with a wider base, integrated LED indicators for connectivity and battery status, and stronger, more reliable signal transmission – or so the company claims. While it isn't quite possible to verify the last point, the lighted-up indicators are a welcome addition that reveals the connection status, battery life, and polling rate at a glance, denoted by a corresponding colour (red means poor connectivity or low battery, blue means a 500Hz polling rate, and the like). On the flip side, the same issue of inconvenience continues to persist, as the dongle makes the DeathAdder V4 Pro cumbersome to lug around in specific scenarios, such as travelling, especially with its bigger footprint. More useful to both the general crowd and enthusiasts are the deep customisation choices, including DPI Sensitivity Matcher, 1 DPI Adjustment, Smart Tracking, and Dynamic Sensitivity. None of these are new to Razer veterans, but for the uninitiated, here's what to expect: the first auto-calibrates the mouse to match the performance and sensitivity of other mice via Razer's Synapse app, an intuitive, speedy process that eliminates the manual effort needed to replicate the feel of an existing setup. As for 1 DPI Adjustment, the feature allows DPI – or dots per inch, in which a higher number denotes a higher mouse sensitivity – increments of one, bringing even more surgical precision and versatility than the previous intervals of 50. Smart Tracking, meanwhile, maintains a consistent lift-off distance across different surfaces for greater accuracy, and the max DPI count has been raised to 45,000, although there's barely any use for it. Dynamic Sensitivity continues to be a gem, allowing users to customise how their DPI responds with three preset curves or create their own for extended individual control. Fans of the FPS genre or fast-paced titles will appreciate the Jump profile that instantly shifts to high sensitivity during quick flicks, enabling 180-degree turns in one motion instead of the usual two full swipes when the mouse sensitivity is set to a DPI of 800 or less – ideal for more precise aim to land headshots. The improvement isn't the most noticeable, but Dynamic Sensitivity does work its magic, with wrist and cursor movement proving smooth, sharp, and less laborious. The other two available presets are Classic, which increases sensitivity ratio continuously with faster movement speed, and Natural, which goes from low to high sensitivity naturally over a shorter period. All of these are customisable in the company's Synapse software, extending even to a dedicated Mouse Rotation feature that adjusts the mouse orientation of unique-angled setups to an optimal horizontal swiping angle. In play, expect nothing but a smooth, snappy performance, complete with accurate tracking, clean flicks, and crisp clicks. Those unused to ultralight mice may be thrown off by the increased twitchiness, but once that's down to a pat, the difference between basic movements like gliding, jumping, or shooting while strafing feels sharper and more natural. Putting the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro through its paces in Apex Legends and Overwatch 2 proved enjoyable (a feat in itself, considering how frustrating Overwatch 2 matches can be), with the side buttons delivering firm, responsive feedback. Left and right-clicking, albeit louder than preferred, saw no signs of latency, bringing a satisfying touch to aiming down sights (ADS), sniping, and rapid, consecutive clicking. An optical scroll wheel – the company's first for an esports mouse – further adds to the experience with a consistent, tactile feel, alongside anti-ghosting technology tailored for weapon switching, inventory management, and zooming in various games. Packing up to 150 hours of battery at a standard 1,000Hz polling rate, the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro is the master of power efficiency. Not once over a full week-and-a-half of use was charging needed, with a 39 percent dip after around 80 hours coming in as a fairly accurate estimation of its projected lifespan on a single charge. It's a significant step-up from the 90 hours of before, now capped at a still-impressive 22 hours when bumped up to 8,000Hz, versus 17 hours on its predecessor. At S$259, the investment can be a little steep for casual gamers who are content with run-of-the-mill functionality. Those seeking the paragon of competitive or esports experiences, however, will find plenty of reasons to commit to the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro, from razor-sharp (hah) performance and detailed customisation to a beefy battery life. It's as they say, go hard or go home. Summary Living up to its reptilian namesake, the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro strikes fast and hard at the competition with a complementary blend of tailor-made features and no major flaws.
