AUSTIN, Texas - An Amazon Flex delivery driver said her car was stolen while she was dropping off packages.
Local perspective
Stephanie Board was delivering packages for Amazon early Sunday morning.
"I took the route that was from 3:15 a.m all the way until like seven o'clock, and I was almost done, so I was excited when I was on my route because I was like, ok, it's about 6:30-ish, I'm almost done. So here I am just determined to get it done and get back to my kids," delivery driver Stephanie Board said.
She said she pulled up to a home in the Quail Creek Neighborhood in North Austin, her car was still running.
"I'm just thinking, you know, I'm going to hop in and out real quickly," Board said.
Board said she grabbed the package out of her car, walked to the front door, dropped it off, and scanned it.
When she turned around, Board said, "I look up and I see a guy that I've never seen before. He hops out of a Mercedes, I think it was, and he gets into the driver's side of my car."
Board said she tried to stop the man.
"I kind of try to get in front of him to stop him from taking the vehicle, but he still goes around and leaves in the vehicle," Board said.
She said it felt like a movie.
"Panicking, nervous, just disbelief and distraught that something like this was happening," Board said.
Apparently, her car had all of her personal items inside, including her credit, debit, and social security cards.
"I see that they are currently using my EBT card. They were at the local Sam's that was out south, and it looks like they were at some supermarkets here in the East Austin area, so they're all over Austin, so you might want to just be mindful," Board said.
Board and her son have a message to whoever is behind this.
"Just do the right thing and return the car because you've taken away from a mother that's trying to support her kids and have a survival for them and stable living," Board said.
"I would just like for the person to just give us our car," Board's son, Demarion Ewing said.

Man arrested 5 years after fatal hit-and-run crash in Miami Gardens, deputies say
Renee Symonette's death was abrupt and violent. An evening drive down a Miami neighborhood five years ago was cut short when a 19-year-old rammed into her at breakneck speed, killing her. Now, Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office deputies say they've tracked down and arrested the man responsible — and this wasn't his first homicide. On the night of Oct. 7, 2020, Symonette was driving a white 2014 Mercedes-Benz C250 along Northwest 37th Avenue in Miami Gardens, an arrest warrant read. Unbeknownst to her, Malcolm Antonio Lumpkin, now 24, was racing toward Symonette in the opposite direction at an 'extremely high rate of speed,' changing lanes erratically. Symonette began to 'safely' make a left turn after waiting for traffic to clear at the intersection of Northwest 179th Street, authorities said. But as she drove into opposite lanes of traffic, Lumpkin slammed into her car, head-on, at 89 mph in his black 2016 Nissan Maxima. The Maxima spun and crashed into a chain link fence, as the Mercedes-Benz rotated and stopped in the street. Lumpkin and his passenger jumped out of the car as it became engulfed in flames, the warrant read. Symonette was pronounced dead by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, while her front seat passenger was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center with a non-life-threatening hip injury. The ensuing investigation revealed that while Lumpkin did have a valid learner's license, there was no licensed driver over 21 in the passenger seat, which is required by law. Detectives also found Lumpkin had run a red light just before the fatal crash four blocks away and nearly struck two cars. It's not clear what investigative steps were taken over the next five years, but Lumpkin still found himself in handcuffs Monday in an unrelated brush with law enforcement. An MDSO deputy working with the Robbery Intervention Detail spotted Lumpkin driving a 2019 black Nissan Maxima with a tag cover, which is against Florida law. After trying to pull over Lumpkin, he sped off from the deputy but was caught after crashing the car. When police conducted a records check on him, it unearthed an active arrest warrant for the fatal 2020 crash, signed months earlier. He was charged with vehicular homicide for the hit-and-run and a litany of other charges, including reckless driving, fleeing and eluding a police officer and leaving the scene of an accident. And Monday's arrest wasn't the first time Lumpkin has run into trouble with the law in recent years. At 14 years old, he was charged with manslaughter in the fatal shooting of 15-year-old Jakyri Fleurimar. It's unclear how that juvenile case ended. As of Tuesday, he remained in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

15 banned from Pennsylvania casinos, gambling
(WBRE/WYOU) — The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced 15 people have been banned from Pennsylvania casinos and online gambling after going against various laws. Being placed on an Involuntary Exclusion List prohibits people from either gaming in a casino in Pennsylvania, via an online betting site regulated by the Board, or at a Video Gaming Terminal location. The Board placed nine people on the Involuntary Casino Exclusion List, including three adults who left minors unattended while gambling in a Pennsylvania casino: A man left his 3-year-old child in a vehicle in the parking lot of Rivers Philadelphia Casino for 4 minutes to gamble at a sports wagering kiosk. A man and woman left a 5-year-old child in a non-running vehicle for 50 minutes in the parking lot of Parx Casino when the outside temperature was 19 degrees, while they gambled at table games. Four banned from Pennsylvania casinos after abandoning kids to gamble The board says denying gambling privileges serves as a reminder that adults are prohibited from leaving minors unattended, since it creates an unsafe environment for the children. Six others were placed on the Board's Involuntary Interactive Gaming Exclusion list for fraudulent actions involving online gambling.
