Alice Evans is left shocked as she visits her 'abandoned' old neighbourhood and shares sad post asking 'What is happening to our world?'
The actress, 56, is currently in the midst of a bitter legal battle with her ex-husband Ioan Gruffudd regarding child support payments for their two daughters.
But earlier this week the star took a trip down memory lane after visiting her old neighbourhood in Melrose/Fairfax in Los Angeles with her daughter Elsie.
Yet Alice confessed she was left shocked after returning to find 'the whole place abandoned' as she explained many shops were shut.
Sharing snaps of the surroundings she penned: 'Sad feelings. What is happening to our world?
'Elsie and I made a trip back to our old neighborhood of Melrose/Fairfax yesterday because I had a meeting nearby. And so many things were boarded up!!
'This is Fred Segal Melrose, which housed Cafe Mauro, which was a central meeting point for so many Angelenos over the past 30 years.
'It was a celebrity hotspot. Guaranteed if you've ever checked out the paparazzi pics in one of those magazines we all used to guiltily buy at the airport you've seen pics from outside Fred Segal.
'But it was also a beloved local joint. We lived one minute's walk from it for 17 years and I never saw the car park less than ramming. Here we are, Elsie and me and the whole place is abandoned. The car behind us is ours. It felt very sad.'
She continued: 'We went on a little drive after that and place after place had closed down. I think you don't notice so much when you're living there, but coming back after 6 months or so is a shock.'
The star then asked her followers: 'What do people think? Are commercial rents too high? Are we moving to a buy online/order in lifestyle?
'Tell me about things you've noticed on your neighborhoods. Our world is changing so fast!'
Alice also thanked fans for her support after she confirmed she is doing a Meet and Greet in Covington, Georgia as she took to Instagram to share the exciting news on Tuesday.
She added: 'As always, love you all and THANK YOU for the love after my last post. A xxxxx'.

It comes after Alice hit back after her appearance at a recent court hearing was savaged by an anonymous online troll.
Her latest court appearance in Los Angeles on July 24, which was also attended by Ioan and his pregnant new wife Bianca Wallace, subsequently prompted hateful comments about her physical appearance.
In a private message sent by a nameless follower, Alice was also attacked for wearing the same outfit - a black blouse and matching skirt - on more than one occasion.
Sharing a post with Instagram followers on Sunday evening, she wrote: 'Just received a random DM telling me I am grossly overweight and 'looked like a freaking walrus walking into court on Wednesday'.
'It went on to say that my choice of outfit was 'horrible' because I had worn it before in public settings many times, ( the horror of wearing clothes twice!) that it was 'cheap' and 'badly fitting' and that I had 'clearly made no effort to understand proper court attire.
'Strangely, this message came from an account with no profile, which is odd, given that I would have loved to have taken hints from the person's own personal style, which obviously must be dazzling - and who doesn't t want a few tips from a dazzling dresser?'
The actress, who accompanied her post with a shot of herself outside court day earlier, admitted she was already wracked with insecurity about what to wear for the hearing after spending months attempting to lose weight.
She wrote: 'I attach one of the pics of me walking into court on that day because I have actually worked hard on losing weight in the past year, and silly me, I thought I looked ok!
'Also, in the two hours before leaving, I changed outfits several times in an ever increasing panic, realizing that nothing I loved fit me, and the things that fit me made me want to cry!
'But this is not a sad post. It's a strong post. I was terrified walking into court this week. I have been terrified to turn up to all the hearings I have been summoned to in the past 3 years - so much so that the first one in aug '22 I could not even bring myself to turn up to, such was my panic. ( I literally hid u see the bed shaking. How pathetic is that!) [sic]
'But I'm still here. I have two incredible girls to bring up. I live for them. And if that means I look fat or old or unfashionable then so be it. I am being as strong as I have ever been in my life.'

Kylie Jenner splashes $500k on fancy olive trees during construction of her Calabasas dream mega-mansion
KYLIE Jenner has splashed out $500k on fancy olive trees during the construction of her Calabasas dream mega-mansion. Nestled in Los Angeles' exclusive Hidden Hills neighborhood, it has been under construction for five years, and is now nearly finished. 8 8 8 Kylie, 27, who currently lives in a $36 million mansion in the same area, originally purchased the exclusive land once owned by Miley Cyrus for $15 million in 2020. New pictures of the beauty mogul's fortress show the multi-acre piece of land is coming along. But before Kylie is ready to move in, she has planted a line of overgrown olive trees worth half million dollars around the house for extra privacy. In new ariel photographs, the Hidden Hills mansion is encircled by the gorgeous olive trees - you can even see what might be her vineyards in the background. On top of the $15 million spent on the land, Kylie, 27, has poured millions of dollars more into the estate's construction. The finished property will feature an underground 12-car garage and a bunker, perhaps to protect Kylie and her kids Stormi, seven, and Aire, three, in case of emergency. According to reports, the mansion will also feature 15 bedrooms, a sports court and a big swimming pool. And the extravagant driveway looks like something out of a spy movie that would lead to the underground parking garage to house all of Kylie's vehicles. When completed, the home will reportedly be at least twice the size of sister Kim Kardashian's $60 million mansion in the same neighborhood. Kylie's real estate portfolio also includes a $13.5 million mansion in Beverly Hills, which she shares with ex Travis Scott. She also dropped $3.25 million on a Palm Springs plot, where she plans to build a vacation home. Kylie also lives part-time in boyfriend Timothee Chalamet's hometown New York City, though it is unclear if she owns her own apartment in the area. When construction began on Kylie's new home, L.A. realtor Tony Mariotti, CEO of RubyHome Luxury Real Estate, told The U.S. Sun that building her home is as intricate as building a hotel. "They are bigger. I know that's obvious, but bigger homes just take longer," Tony said. "For example, that foundation, with the subterranean garage is some serious business. Not only is it huge, but it is way more complex than a typical foundation." He added: "If you run out of something or have difficulty with the materials, that'll cause a delay. "They've got multiple sub-contractors coming and going, doing all sorts of work, all of which is going to be custom and detailed. "Laying the stone or carpet in that house could take weeks instead of days. "The city inspections that happen along the way will take longer. "If the builders violate or overlook any building codes, it'll take days or weeks to straighten things out. "This is a project on the scale of a large restaurant or small hotel." Kylie's new home isn't the first time the media personality has had a home in Hidden Hills. In 2016, Kylie purchased a $12 million home in Hidden Hills and according to the Daily Mail, she still has the home. 8 8 8 8

Modern Family actor on why he ‘left Hollywood
Ty Burrell, who starred as Phil Dunphy in the hit sitcom Modern Family, relocated from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City, Utah, with his family after the show concluded in 2020. Burrell described the move as "spectacular" and a "great place to raise the kids," despite initially finding the outdoorsy lifestyle an adjustment. Ariel Winter, who played Burrell's on-screen daughter, also decided to leave Los Angeles after the series wrapped in April 2020. Winter's decision stemmed from severe childhood trauma, including negative press about her appearance from a young age and a difficult relationship with her mother. She clarified that she has not left the acting industry but moved from Los Angeles as the city held "not-great memories" for her.

Meghan Markle's As Ever brand posts gushing birthday tribute to praise 'the woman behind it all'
Meghan Markle 's As Ever brand has posted a gushing birthday tribute as the entrepreneur turns 44 years old. The Duchess' own lifestyle company took to Instagram with a black and white snapshot of the mom-of-two wearing a sundress and hat as she beamed into the distance. The caption enthused about Meghan and her role leading the company. 'Celebrating the woman behind it all,' it read. 'She pours her heart, vision and magic touch into every detail, and today, we raise a glass to her! Happy birthday to our founder.' It was then re-shared on As Ever's Instagram Story alongside two champagne flutes clinking together in celebration. Meghan launched her lifestyle brand earlier this year, releasing the first products in April, which included a range of teas, a raspberry spread, and a limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb, amongst other things. She followed it up with an apricot spread and another honey, and in July, she expanded into the world of alcohol when she dropped her own wine - the 2023 Napa Valley Rosé. Each release has been met with fierce excitement from her fans, and every product has sold out pretty quickly. And her birthday comes just days after she announced another product coming to her As Ever line. Last week, the company revealed that following the buzz surrounding the 2023 Napa Valley Rosé, it will be launching another wine, with a slight tweak... calling it the 2024 Napa Valley Rosé. It vowed that it will pretty much taste the same as As Ever's first wine. 'It marries the same harmony of notes from our first blend and creates an elegant medley of delicate yet memorable flavor,' read a press release. 'You'll want to clink glasses with friends as the sun sets, toasting to a summer of joy. 'Barefoot or in sandals, dressed up or dressed down, this rosé may become your favorite accessory for alfresco lunches and dinners at dusk.' In the release, As Ever listed some of the positive feedback customers had given the company over its first rosé, which included comments like, '10 out of 10,' 'perfect,' and 'elevated flavor.' Meghan launched her lifestyle brand earlier this year, releasing the first products in April, which included a range of teas, a raspberry spread, and a limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb, amongst other things 'This affirmed all of the love, time and effort our team, and our founder, poured into curating this blend to evoke the sun drenched spirit of Napa Valley, and the breathtaking tenor of the California Coast,' As Ever added. 'Thank you for filling our cup. Now it's time for us to fill your glass! We are pleased to share that our 2024 Napa Valley Rosé will be available for purchase next week.' Last month, Daily Mail exclusively revealed that the alcoholic beverage is made by Fairwinds Estate, a California winery that creates bespoke wines for celebrities. The 2023 Napa Valley Rosé is described on the bottle as a 'delicately balanced rosé with soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish.' It has a 14.5 percent alcohol by volume for the 750ML bottle. The Daily Mail FEMAIL team tried the rosé and while the wine was smooth, we couldn't easily detect the notes of stone fruit. In fact, it tasted quite bland, and almost water-y. In addition, the rosé had some acidic notes, leaving a somewhat uncomfortable sensation at the back of our throats after swallowing. In the end, the verdict was the wine lacked flavor and tasted affordable and ordinary. It wasn't terrible - but it certainly wasn't great.
