Problem Solved
While many retailers have undergone mass closures recently, German discount grocery chain Aldi is looking to continue its growth in 2025.
The chain announced in February its plan to open more than 225 new stores in 2025 as part of a five-year growth plan to add 800 stores by the end of 2028. According to the company, the 225 stores will be "the most stores Aldi will open in one year in its nearly 50-year U.S. history."
In a news release in February, Aldi said the new stores will open through a "combination of organic growth and converting select Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket stores to the Aldi format." Altogether, Aldi will convert about 220 Southeastern Grocers locations to the Aldi format through 2027.
Aldi finalized its acquisition of Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket, in March 2024. However, it announced in February 2025 its plan to sell approximately 170 unconverted Winn-Dixie and Harveys stores to a consortium that includes C&S Wholesale Grocers, Southeastern Grocers senior leadership, and private investors.
Aldi said in the February news release that grand openings for the first several converted Southeastern Grocers stores were underway, with about 100 converted locations re-opening as Aldi stores by the end of 2025.
The chain said it opened nearly 120 stores in 2024, bringing its total store count to over 2,400, making it the third-largest grocery chain in the U.S. by store count.

If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission. Summer is the perfect time to travel or just get out of the house. You don't have to go on a tropical vacation to be on the move this time of year. And whether it's to the beach, a lake house or an amusement park, even staycations or day trips are a lot of work. They can also leave you with a low phone battery or dead AirPods. Thank goodness, there are 3-in-1 MagSafe charging stations that exist now so that you can charge multiple devices at once. They can be pretty expensive, though, and that's why we're impressed with Aldi's upcoming charging bundle. It's so similar to an Anker model that costs four times the price. From July 9 to July 15, Aldi will be selling their Bauhn MagCharge 3 in 1 Charging Bundle for $19.99 in their Aldi Finds aisle of local U.S. stores. This is a MagCharge charging station that allows you to charge your phone, AirPods and Apple Watch all at the same time. Your devices need to be MagSafe compatible, meaning that they can charge without plugging in. This includes the iPhone 12 through iPhone 16 models, AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro. It's sleek, gray and The charging bundle folds up when not in use into a compact pad. But when you need to charge something, it opens up so that it's propped open with three levels. It holds your MagSafe-compatible iPhone in the middle, sits your AirPods on the bottom and hangs your Apple Watch on the upper platform. It has overheat protection, so you don't have to worry about it getting too hot while it's charging three things. All of the devices that are able to work with this station magnetically connect to it, so things are pretty sturdy. Aldi's site reported that it has 15W super-fast charging, a Type-C port and a 6-foot long Type-C cable (which connects to a block that goes into a wall outlet). Related: This isn't the first of its kind; in fact, popular tech brand Anker has their MagGo 3 in 1 Charging Station, which is very similar. It costs $83.99 on Amazon and offers a lot of the same things as the Aldi bundle. It's MagSafe-compatible to offer wireless charging, it has 15W charging and has a USB-C adapter. It isn't exactly the same design—it has one platform for your AirPods with a leaning feature for your phone and Apple Watch—but it does the same thing (and visually isn't too different). It also folds up in a compact way that's nearly the same. And even if you didn't want to go with a well-known brand, something like the ADAM Elements Magnetic Wireless Charger/Travel Charger is still $59.25 on Amazon. This one is visually closer to Aldi's design and does all of the same things. So, if you can't leave the house without your Apple Watch and AirPods (and of course your iPhone) and you're looking for a charging station to charge all of your devices at once, Aldi's Bauhn MagCharge 3 in 1 Charging Bundle is worth checking out. And even though it's great for travel because it folds up so nicely, it can also make a nice, compact charging area in your Next:Aldi Is Selling a Cool $20 3-in-1 Charging Bundle Similar to an Anker Style 4x the Price first appeared on Parade on Jul 6, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jul 6, 2025, where it first appeared.

Ferrari Just Won Back the Rights to ‘Testarossa' After a 7-Year Legal Battle
Ferrari came dangerously close to losing the rights to one of its most iconic names. But now, the courts have ruled in its favor. After several years of legal wrangling with a German toy company, the legendary badge remains in Maranello's hands. While Ferrari's business model may rub some enthusiasts the wrong way, it's hard not to be glad they won this round. In Italian, Testarossa translates to "red head". In the autosphere, Testarossa is synonymous with Ferrari, referring to one of their most beautiful creations ever. The long, wide, side-straked wedge from the 1980s. Some argue it's even prettier than the new Ferrari Amalfi. But since 2017, Ferrari no longer holds the rights to the name. That's because Autec AG, a toy company based in Germany, applied to register "Testarossa" for its own products. The company argued that Ferrari hadn't used the Testarossa name in a 'general use' for over five years, which could result in cancellation under EU law. Ferrari fought back, but in 2023, the Fifth Board of Appeal of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) upheld the original decision. The board found that selling replacement parts and accessories wasn't enough to qualify as 'general use' of the trademark. Fortunately, the story didn't end there. On July 2, 2024, seven years after the original case, the EU General Court overruled the earlier decisions. Because pre-owned Testarossas are sold through Ferrari's official resale network, Maranello may retain the original trademark, stating that "when reselling second-hand goods, such use is capable of constituting 'genuine use' of that mark within the meaning." In the court's eyes, this was more than enough to prove the name hadn't been abandoned, even though the last new model to carry it rolled out of Maranello in 1991. The decision marks a win not just for Ferrari, but for other automakers who continue to support their vintage models without putting the nameplates back into production. And if Ferrari ever decides to bring back the Testarossa name, it'll be doing so with the full weight of its heritage, and now, with the legal rights to match. Copyright 2025 The Arena Group, Inc.
