Today's horoscope as Aries re-thinks some big plans

Daily Mirror18 hours ago
Today's horoscope for Tuesday July 1 sees one star sign shows some patience, while another deals with emotional distance
It's Tuesday, and one star sign is feeling very satisfied, while another loses touch with their own thoughts.
There are 12 zodiac signs - Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces - and the horoscopes for each can give you the lowdown on what your future holds, be it in work, your love life, your friends and family or more.

These daily forecasts have been compiled by astrologer Russell Grant, who has been reading star signs for over 50 years. From Aries through to Pisces, here's what today could bring for your horoscope - and what you can do to be prepared.

Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)
You've been so excited about a project that is about to begin that you have failed to recognise there are problems in your plans. It's not easy to accept there are flaws and while a positive mindset will take you a long way, this will not overcome poor reasoning.
Taurus (Apr 21 - May 21)
Put work before socialising. Focus on business, not pleasure. This also means steer clear of fun activities tonight. Use your creativity to tackle those jobs you have put aside recently. Completing these will lead to success. At home, don't let emotions get the better of you.
Gemini (May 22 - June 21)
Great things will often come for those who are willing to wait and show patience. Patience now is a valuable quality and this should be your guiding principle today. Keep in mind that when you start something new, the outcome is unlikely to be immediate.
Cancer (June 22 - July 23)
Exercise caution in financial and business transactions. Refuse to sign contracts until you have thoroughly reviewed documents; multiple times even if you feel this is necessary. If you are sincere in all transactions, you should have a reasonably successful day.
Leo (July 24 - Aug 23)
You're experiencing a wonderful sense of happiness and satisfaction. Your friendliness makes you very approachable. Friends and colleagues make it obvious they are enjoying your company. Don't hesitate to share your thoughts and suggestions with them.

Virgo (Aug 24 - Sept 23)
Agree to talk with someone who has recently hurt you. It is possible to get this relationship back to the way it used to be. Sharing experiences with someone you love will lead to greater happiness and a more fulfilling lifestyle. Holding on to anger will become increasingly difficult as time goes by.
Libra (Sept 24 - Oct 23)
There seems to be an emotional distance between you and a partner. Normally you understand each other well, but not today. Although you feel a sense of guilt, there is also a relief in having some space from each other. Keep emotions private and avoid revealing that anything is amiss to others.
Scorpio (Oct 24 - Nov 22)
You aren't short of things to do. There are lots that can keep you happily occupied as you wait for the results of recent endeavours. Accept there is nothing else that you can do other than get on with other things until you receive the news you are waiting for.

Sagittarius (Nov 23 - Dec 21)
As you listen to everyone else's opinions you might lose touch with your own. Pause and take a little time to pay attention to your thoughts. This will provide you with valuable insights that will help you speed up progress towards your personal goals.
Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20)
It may be necessary for you to set some time aside to help a new colleague or neighbour. Many people look to you as being the one to guide those who are just starting at your company. Your practical assistance and patience is appreciated.
Aquarius (Jan 21 - Feb 19)
People in power are starting to recognise that you have the ability to achieve nearly anything you focus on. Make the most of any opportunity they put your way. Encourage a partner to reach an agreement with you on joint plans for the future. Stay optimistic.
Pisces (Feb 20 - Mar 20)
Important details are being overlooked and that's because you have lost interest in your work. This may be temporary or it could be you are ready for a change. One way to find out is to take a step back and consider what you truly want.

Jessie J says she is feeling 'positive and grateful' as she issues a health update 11 days after mastectomy

Jessie J said she is feeling 'positive and grateful' as she issues a health update after undergoing a mastectomy. The singer, 37, who underwent surgery 11 days ago previously said that the cancer at present had unfortunately not 'all gone'. In a post to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, she admitted she missed 'being an active mum the most' and was 'feeling a little out of it' as she recovers. Alongside a photo of herself with her son Sky, two, Jessie wrote: 'For those asking for a health update. l am 11 days post surgery. I'm good. 'Missing being an active Mum / human the most. But it's been nice to slow down and Sky is having a blast with Nanny and Grandad. 'It's still uncomfortable / a little painful but l can handle that. I'm doing my exercises and taking all the healthy things. I have been trying to eat super clean.' She continued: 'I have stopped all pain meds. Just not my thing. Also like to feel how it feels so I don't overdo it. 'I have now done a [poo emoji]. Still have my drain. Anyone else who has had this, did you feel like you are walking around one of those dog / duck toys 'I carry mine on the floor when l'm home so the gravity can help the drain. Hoping it's out by the end of the week. I am feeling positive and grateful.' In another update, Jessie added: 'If you do see me out, sitting in a park or coming out of a doctors appointment or eating or walking or anything, and I am seem a little out of it. I am. 'It's not personal. I don't have what l usually have to give energy wise, understandably. 'I will get there. It's a slow road. For now l am taking it easy. Enjoying the slow vibes and staying positive.' Jessie previously confirmed that she is not cancer free, a day after posting her hopes to be rid of the disease. The singer said on Friday that her previous post had been 'misunderstood' and while she was 'praying' for good news, the cancer at present had unfortunately not 'all gone'. In another update, Jessie added: 'If you do see me out, sitting in a park or coming out of a doctors appointment or eating or walking or anything, and I am seem a little out of it. I am' Jessie went on to say that she was awaiting test results and would be taking a week's break from social media in order to 'focus on her recovery '. Speaking about the misunderstanding she wrote: 'I posted a list of pros and cons of having breast cancer surgery. The first pro I put was... the cancer has all gone'. 'This was a positive affirmation NOT a fact. I don't have my results yet. I added the [fingers crossed emoji] in thinking people would understand and clearly a lot didn't. She went on: 'A weird situation. My fault for not being clearer. But for now I do not have my results after surgery which was only 6 nights ago. I pray it will be true soon but the journey of cancer isn't that simple unfortunately'. Later Jessie said: 'Tapping off socials for a week. Healthy and needed reset. To focus on my recovery and saying stuff that gets twisted of misread'. 'My head and boob Bye. Always loveeeee'. The mix up came after she shared a health update on Instagram on Thursday which read: 'Pros: Cancer has all gone.' She added that her mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery had gone well as she quipped: 'My nipple is where it used to be.' She added that her mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery had gone well as she quipped: 'My nipple is where it used to be.' Continuing her list of pros, Jessie wrote: 'I can watch Love Island with no guilt. I am getting to rest and talk to friends more than ever.' She added that her partner Chanan Safir Colman and their son Sky have been providing support as well as her mother. 'My mum lives with us. Sky just being Sky. Chanan making me feel safe and the messages are 10/10.' 'Connecting with other people who are going through a similar time and being able to support each other.' Later Jessie confirmed that while she had written the 'cancer is gone' she included a fingers crossed emoji as 'it's a hope not a fact'. She added: 'I only had my surgery 4 days ago. I was just saying the pros of surgery and this situation and being positive. 'But I will get my results soon. And hopefully I can post that as a fact. But for now I don't know. But I will stay positive and talk what I want into the universe'.

Rockstar David Roach from Junkyard announces he's been diagnosed with 'very aggressive' cancer

Rockstar David Roach has announced he's been diagnosed with a 'very aggressive' form of cancer in a health update shared on Monday. The musician, who has fronted U.S. heavy metal band Junkyard since 1987, revealed he has squamous cell carcinoma, which is 'affecting his head, neck, and throat'. Last week, David admitted recent results 'completely shattered our world', with the band starting a GoFundMe page to help with medical costs. In an update shared to the band's Instagram, a message from the singer and his fiancee Jennifer read: 'First off, we want to thank you all for the overwhelming support and love you've shown us during this incredibly challenging time. 'We wish we could respond to each of you, but honestly, there are no words right now. We're still struggling to process the news we received on Tuesday. 'After David's ongoing fever and cough led us to the ER, we got results that have completely shattered our world.' They continued: 'It's devastating and life-altering, and we're trying to navigate through the emotions and uncertainty that come with it. 'David is showing such incredible strength and resilience, and even in the midst of this darkness, he's still managing to keep his sense of humor. It's a reminder of how amazing he is. 'But we know this journey ahead will be extremely tough, David made it clear he is not giving up hope and we're going to need all of your love and prayers. 'Thank you for standing by us. Your kindness and support mean everything to us. Please keep David in your thoughts as we take this one step at a time.' Fundraiser: The band has started a GoFundMe to help with medical costs for David Squamous cell carcinoma is a type of cancer that develops in the squamous cells, which are found on the surface of the skin and in the lining of many organs. It often develops in sun-exposed areas like the face, ears, neck, and back, but can occur anywhere on the body. If caught early, the five-year survival rate is around 99 per cent. But when the cancer has spread beyond the skin or origin site, the five-year survival rate drops to less than 50 per cent. Around 1.8million Americans are diagnosed per year and up to 15,000 die from the disease. A statement previously published by the band read: 'As many of you know, David who is a friend to all is in the fight of his life battling aggressive squamous cell carcinoma affecting his head, neck, and throat. 'Currently David requires around the clock care and supervision. David's fiancee Jennifer has had to step away from traditional employment to become his full time care giver. 'While they have applied for disability and full time caregivers assistance it is an extremely long waiting period to go through the processing and receive approval. This has put them in a dire situation. 'This has been a devastating blow for David especially after he finally found happiness, stability, and things were going well for him.'

Married At First Sight star Dave Hand shares heartbreaking news: 'It's taken a toll'

Married At First Sight star Dave Hand has given a heartbreaking update about his father Howard's health. The reality groom, 36, shared his father's cancer journey with viewers during his homestay visit with TV bride Jamie Marinos. Despite revealing at the time that his father had 'turned a corner', Dave admitted to The Mirror this week that Howard's cancer had returned. 'The tumours my dad had on the show that had previously shrunk – they've come back pretty quickly,' Dave told the publication. Dave added that Howard was currently taking part in a clinical trial in an effort to beat the disease. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'He's on a trial now. Only 200 people in the world are doing it,' Dave explained. 'My dad's response for doing it is, "If I can help somebody out, I'm going to give this trial a crack and help the future." 'He's been fighting it for five years and now it's taken a toll on him. 'He's a bit frail and now he's got to go into battle again.' MAFS fans were introduced to Howard and Dave's stepmother Karen during a homestay visit with Jamie. It was an emotional reunion for Dave, who hadn't seen his father since before his reality TV wedding. Dave revealed that the reason Howard missed out on the nuptials was that he was undergoing chemotherapy. The groom was then shown on his wedding day sitting alone and FaceTiming with Karen and Howard. 'I wish my dad was well enough to come to the wedding,' he said. 'He'd just started chemo for the fourth time.' Dave also admitted that his father's cancer battle had taken a personal toll over the last four years. 'Seeing dad over the last four years, it sort of does take a lot out of me,' he said. 'You take it all on board. 'So, this visit hopefully is a bit different. I got some news about him yesterday but I haven't spoken to him yet, so it'll be good to see him.' After a happy introduction, the family sat down at the table to hear Howard deliver his news. 'There were three tumours, two tumours have shrunk and the third tumour has gone,' Howard revealed.' 'Another four doses should hopefully clean it up. Something's finally working.' Dave said at the time he was over the moon with the good news. 'I'm so glad that my dad's turned the corner – he's been on my mind since day one,' he said. 'Seeing him with a bit more pep in his step, I'm super, super happy. I'm a bit emotional but happy.' Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia in April, Dave revealed his emotional outbursts on the series were due to his heartbreak over his father's cancer battle, but claimed much of the explanation was 'cut out' and as a result he was left looking like a terrible husband and 'horrible person'. '[My Dad] took a turn and I was really struggling with that, but they completely cut that out of the edit so it looks like I did a total backflip on Jamie, but I was communicating my feelings about my dad,' he explained. He went on to say he cried while explaining the situation on the couch with the experts, and told them he was 'struggling' with the experiment due to him being so preoccupied with his father's illness. 'Watching that back on screen and seeing how they edited it was really difficult for me, because everyone in the experiment knew how much I was struggling, my friends and family knew, but it didn't come across that way at all, it was just like "he's a terrible person."' Dave admitted he had 'no idea' why the footage was cut, but blamed it on the tough realities of showbiz and said all he could do now was 'move on'. 'I know how I handled myself in there was the best I could have in that capacity,' he said. 'If I had to go back there it was a really scary place to be, because I knew I was struggling and I turned up to be the partner Jamie needed but, in the edit, it looks like I did a huge backflip.'
