Taiwanese singer Jay Chou bumped into his former co-star, Canadian actor Edison Chen, while both of them were in London recently. And their rare joint appearance together took fans down memory lane.
The two are best known for starring together in Hong Kong street racing film Initial D (2005). Chou, 46, played the lead Takumi Fujiwara, while Chen, 44, took on the role of Ryosuke Takahashi, leader of racing team Red Suns.
The film, based on the Japanese manga series of the same name, also starred Japanese actress Anne Suzuki, as well as Hong Kong actors Anthony Wong and Shawn Yue.

On July 4, Chou posted on Instagram two photos of him and Chen in front of Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara's pictures. They were attending an exhibition of Nara's artworks in London.
The Mandopop star also uploaded two movie stills of him and Chen in Initial D, and a fictional conversation between their two characters in the film.
Ryosuke Takahashi: Would you like to join my team?
Takumi Fujiwara: Sure!
Ryosuke Takahashi: You transfer 300 yuan via WeChat first!
Takumi Fujiwara: …………
"Transfer 300 yuan via Wechat" was a meme from a video clip which went viral online. A netizen claimed to have received a voice message request from Chen, which turned out to be a prank by someone else.
Chou's post attracted more than 296,000 "likes" and has been shared more than 226,000 times as at July 6 afternoon.
The singer completed the Hong Kong leg of his Carnival World Tour on June 29. He then headed to Britain to watch the ongoing 2025 Wimbledon Championships in London with his wife, Taiwanese-Australian model-actress Hannah Quinlivan.
Chen, who was also in London watching the tennis competition, was in Taipei in December 2024 to attend Chou's concert at the Taipei Dome.
Chou recently sparked speculation that he could have a role in Hong Kong director Stephen Chow's new movie Women's Soccer, after they posted on social media on July 2 a photo of them together.
Chou was seen in the picture with his foot on a soccer ball, with Chow mentioning his movie Shaolin Soccer (2001) in the post.

Exhibition marking The Straits Times' 180th anniversary opens on July 12 at Jewel Changi
Sign up now: Get ST's newsletters delivered to your inbox The exhibition is equipped with interactive features that allow visitors to flip through thousands of front pages and participate in a Reporter-In-Training quest. SINGAPORE – An avid reader of the news, Mrs Wendy Yap took a bus on Saturday to Jewel Changi Airport, to be among the first at The Straits Times' 180th anniversary exhibition. The 57-year-old primary school mathematics teacher said she has the ST app, but still prefers the physical copy. 'It is my routine to read ST every morning. Once, the newspaper wasn't delivered to my home and I felt like something was off that day,' said Mrs Yap, who added that she feels a sense of pride when the newspaper is distributed to passengers on all Singapore-bound SIA flights. She especially likes the human-interest reports and enjoys trying food recommendations published in ST's Life! section. Mrs Yap highlighted two stories in particular: Mr Ricqo Rafiezuwan , who used to be a stateless unemployed youth, and is now a permanent resident and Mr Hsu Hu-Chin, who found his mother – a former SIA stewardess - after his story appeared in ST . 'I wanted to be at the exhibition to see more of the stories ST has covered over the years - different events in history and how the stories actually unfolded. 'I'm glad ST's articles has had an impact on people's lives,' she said, adding that she looks forward to reading profile features every weekend. The exhibition takes visitors through eras the nation has experienced. ST PHOTO: KEVIN LIM Like Mrs Yap, several other visitors at the roving exhibition at South Gateway Garden at Jewel Changi Airport, said they were intrigued by the range of stories the publication has covered over the years. Ms Cheong Yin Ping , a r etired bank worker in her 60s , liked the interactive features, which she felt would do well in keeping the younger visitors engaged. Her favourite part was when she created her own front page. 'In this age, people usually need instantaneous response, since their attention spans are shorter,' said Mrs Cheong. Others like Mr Albert La i liked the interactive display comparing photographs of places in Singapore then and now, including landmarks like Clarke Quay, Bukit Batok Hill and the Padang. 'Because we forget the past sometimes, and now (this display) helps us to remember and see the changes,' added the 52-year-old sales executive . For J arred Loo , 17 , his favourite part of the exhibition was the comic-book style panels that showed how the newsroom transformed from producing print-only papers to multi-media news formats. The secondary school student said he has often reads ST, to expand his knowledge of current affairs. Visitors at an interactive section of the exhibition. It also showcases headlines that ST delivered when the world ushered in the millennium, ranging from the Singapore Airlines SQ006 crash in Taiwan in 2000 , the nation's largest manhunt for Mas Selamat Kastari who broke out of detention in 2008 , Singapore's first Olympic gold medal won by national swimmer Joseph Schooling in 2016 , the pandemic Covid-19 that brought the world to a standstill from 2020 to 2022 , to the present. The exhibition is held at Jewel Changi Airport from July 12 to 20, and will shift to Westgate from July 25 to Aug 3, before settling at Raffles City Shopping Centre from Aug 8 to 17. ST PHOTO: KEVIN LIM The exhibition also chronicles the evolution of ST from a newspaper of record to a multi-platform media outlet in today's digital age. One section displays readers' fondest memories of ST, and the lives of those transformed after being featured in its pages. Jennifer Aniston reportedly dating hypnotist, Entertainment News
Jennifer Aniston is reportedly dating Jim Curtis. The Morning Show actress - who hasn't publicly romanced anyone since her 2017 split from husband Justin Theroux - is said to be "really into" the 49-year-old hypnotist after being set up by "mutual friends". A source told Us Weekly magazine: "They are being super private but have been spending a lot of time together. They are happy and really into each other." The couple are said to have "started off as friends but really hit it off" over time. The source added: "They've been hanging out a lot, but very much on the DL at her home in LA. It's very Zen, and she has always been very much into that. They're a good match." Jennifer, 56, and Jim were pictured together last weekend while on vacation in Mallorca, Spain, with the former Friends star's close friend Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka. Although the pair have kept their romance out of the spotlight until now, they have been supporting one another on social media. Jennifer has liked most of the life coach's Instagram posts over the last few months, including a video posted last week about recovering from a "divorce, break-up or difficult romance", and Jim liked her 25 May photo dump, which included a copy of his 2024 book Shift: Quantum Manifestation Guide. Jennifer recently expressed her desire to perform in a Broadway show. She told People magazine: "I definitely want to do a Broadway play. That's on my bucket list, but it's finding the time and finding the right piece, the right material. "But I absolutely have to do a play on Broadway." Jennifer is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, but she previously confessed to being terrible at auditions because she struggles to find immediate chemistry with a stranger. Appearing on The Hollywood Reporter's Drama Actress Roundtable - which also featured Nicole Kidman, Jodie Foster, Sofia Vergara, Brie Larson, Naomi Watts and Anna Sawai - Jennifer said: "When you're in an audition room, you're already at a disadvantage. Maybe you'd have chemistry with this person if you were in a different environment, and not, like, 'Create chemistry. Ready? Go!' "And I'm a terrible auditioner, always was. I waitressed forever before I could finally get something, which was a Bob's Big Boy commercial." Jennifer also insisted that she would never get intimate with an actor during a chemistry test. [[nid:717172]] The movie star said: "I haven't been told you're going to have to lay down and [get intimate with an actor for a chemistry test], and if asked, I would never."

Bella Thorne accuses Charlie Puth of lying 'to the entire world' after she refused to sleep with him, Entertainment News
Bella Thorne claims Charlie Puth "lied to the entire world" about her after she refused to sleep with him. The 27-year-old actress had a brief romance with 33-year-old singer/ songwriter Puth in 2016, which ended with him claiming she had been two-timing him and her ex-boyfriend Tyler Posey. However, Bella has now alleged that Charlie made up lies about her when she wouldn't "do the deed with him". After a post was made on Instagram, quoting Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall as saying she "wouldn't collaborate" with Puth, Thorne took to the comments. She wrote: "Yeah I mean .. he lied to the entire world about me and started a hate train. All because I wouldn't …. Do the deed with him." Bella and Charlie were linked in December 2016 when they were spotted together at Jingle Ball in Miami - and he serenaded her onstage However, he later took to X (formerly Twitter) to claim she had been dishonest. He wrote: "I can't believe what I'm reading. No one should have their heart messed with like this, and I'm not going to be in the middle of it. "I don't know Tyler personally, but I know he shouldn't be treated this way. She told me she was not with him anymore. This is all news to me." Bella later posted on X: "Ty and I have been broken up for like over two weeks and charlie and I arent dating, are friends. "Charlie and I were hanging out.. he saw an old interview and got butthurt but instead of texting me and asking about it he put it on Twitter." Speaking on SiriusXM's The Jenny McCarthy Show, she said: "Honestly, Ty and I stopped dating and that was really difficult for me. It was definitely one of the hardest breakups I've been through. Basically, Ty and I stopped dating and Charlie had been tweeting about me for a while. He was trying to reach out to me. "I hung out with him twice. We went to the movies. He was cool. I was like, 'Wow, you're really talented. Holy s***. You're f****** great, dude.' And then he invited me to Jingle Ball to watch him perform. [[nid:701886]] "Charlie saw an old news article, and he didn't look at the date, and the date is old, and it's about me and Ty. … when he read it, not reading the date, it sounded like it was about me and Ty still being together. He didn't even text me or talk to me about it."
