'Omniscient Reader: The Prophet' is a thriller and fantasy drama that blends themes of magical realism to present the audience with a unique story. This is also Jisoo's film debut, as most of her filmography has consisted of starring in drama series and music videos.
The film's premise follows Dok Ja, the only dedicated reader of a long-running novel. The lines between fantasy and reality start to blur for her when events in the book also start happening in her real life.

Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap give their marriage another chance, Saina says "Trying again...'

Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap On July 13, Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal shocked her fans and followers when she announced her separation from her husband and fellow badminton star Parupalli Kashyap. However, within weeks of being separated from each other, looks like the couple has now decided to make things work out in their marriage for the better. Surprising their fans yet again, Saina took to Instagram today and shared a photo with her husband. In the picture, Saina and her husband Parupalli Kashyap can be seen vacationing together. Her caption read, 'Sometimes distance teaches you the value of presence. Here we are— trying again.' The post was simple, yet deeply moving — a quiet but powerful statement of love and reconciliation. Just weeks earlier, on July 13, Saina had announced their separation, writing a heartfelt note on Instagram: 'Life takes us in different directions sometimes. After much thought and consideration, Kashyap and I have decided to part ways. We're choosing peace, growth, and healing for ourselves and each other. I am grateful for the memories and wish nothing but the best moving forward.' The announcement came as a shock to fans and the sporting community, as Saina and Kashyap have long been seen as a power couple — not just in Indian badminton, but in life. Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap's love story Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap's split has shocked fans, joining a list of sports couples like Sania Mirza–Shoaib Malik and Yuzvendra Chahal–Dhanashree Verma who parted ways in recent years. As per reports, the duo also lived in the same locality and their families knew about their love for each other. In 2018, after dating each other for over a decade the duo got married in an intimate wedding ceremony. It was on December 16, 2018 when Saina and Kashyap surprised everyone by announcing their hush-hush wedding with a beautiful picture from their big day. 'Best match of my life #justmarried," read Saina's caption back then. Talking about her relationship with her husband Kashyap, Saina had revealed in an earlier interview with TOI, 'We started travelling for bigger tours from 2007-08 onwards. We played tournaments together, trained together and slowly, started paying more attention to each other's matches. In the competitive world that we live in, it is difficult to get close to someone. But somehow we both found it very easy to talk to each other, talk about our matches. The feeling gradually grew.' Now with both Saina and Kashyap trying to give their marriage a second chance, the couple reminds us all that even the strongest relationships can go through testing times — but sometimes, love does find its way back. National Awards Jury member Pradeep Nair says he opposed to 'The Kerala Story', calling it 'propaganda film': 'Others argued it's a relevant social issue'

The 71st National Film awards were announced on Friday, August 1 and 'The Kerala Story' may have won big. The film won the 'Best Director' award for Sudipto Sen and 'Best Cinematography' for Prasantanu Mohapatra. However, not everyone on the jury agreed with the decision. Filmmaker Pradeep Nair , a jury member for the Feature Film category, told Manorama that he strongly opposed the film being chosen. He called it 'propaganda' and said it unfairly showed Kerala in a bad light. 'As a Malayali on the panel, I raised serious objections. I questioned how a film that defames a state like Kerala and serves as propaganda could be considered for a national honour,' he said. Despite his strong views, Pradeep said the other jury members didn't agree with him. He added, 'I even conveyed my concerns directly to the jury chairperson. However, I was the only one who labelled it as propaganda. Others argued that, even if it was controversial, it addressed a relevant social issue.' Another film, 'Ullozhukku' by Christo Tomy, was also being considered for Best Director. But the jury chose The Kerala Story instead. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Arabian Sea Facing Apartments - Mahalaxmi, South Mumbai Lodha Bellevue Click Here Undo Pradeep said some jury members called Ullozhukku 'just a family drama,' while they felt 'The Kerala Story' dealt with a more urgent social topic. Still, 'Ullozhukku' didn't go unrecognised. It won Best Malayalam Film and Best Supporting Actress for Urvashi. The Kerala Story, directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Shah, stirred major controversy when it was released. The film tells the story of women from Kerala who are forced to convert to Islam and join ISIS. The makers said it was based on real events, claiming that 32,000 women from Kerala had been radicalised—though this number has been widely questioned. The film starred Adah Sharma , Yogita Bihani , Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani.
