Diana's brother, Charles Spencer, shared the news that one of the farmhouses had been burned to the ground by vandals.
Charles shared the news to X, the app formerly known as Twitter, shared an update reading, 'Stunned to learn that one of @AlthorpHouse's farmhouses – fortunately, unoccupied at the time – was apparently burnt down by vandals last night. With thanks to @northantsfire for doing their very best. So very sad that anyone would think this a fun thing to do.'
Per Hello, Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said in a statement, 'Crews arrived to find a derelict two-story property fully on fire. At the height of the fire, four crews from across the service wearing breathing apparatus used hose-reel jets to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further.'
They added, 'One crew remained on the scene into this afternoon with a water bowser to continue dampening down any remaining hotspots, and then returned to their station shortly before 1pm.'
As of May 31, 2025, it's a suspected arson attack from vandals, but no other details have become publicly known . But we are happy no one was injured during the unprecedented attack.Best of SheKnows

Suspected gang arrested in Manchester after horror drive-by shooting at garage leaves three men injured
Four suspects were arrested in Manchester after a horror drive-by shooting at a garage left three men injured, police have confirmed. Detectives are continuing to investigate the firearms discharge at the S Autos Garage on Bulay Road in Huddersfield on July 22. Three men were rushed to hospital following the incident at around 3pm where they remain to receive treatment. A 30-year-old man received a foot injury, a 36-year-old was injured in a knee and a 20-year-old man, meanwhile, was injured in his arm and stomach after they were 'struck by projectiles'. Their injuries are non-life-threatening. Investigations suggested a Nissan Juke, with false registration plates, was driven by the garage as the shots were fired. The car had turned left from Nelson Street onto Bulay Road just before the shooting, and then made off, turning right onto Springdale Road and then onto Manchester Road, police said. The vehicle was later located and seized outside the West Yorkshire area having been abandoned. Join the Manchester Evening News WhatsApp group HERE In an update, West Yorkshire Police confirmed four suspects, aged 18, 19, 20 and 21, were all arrested in the Greater Manchester area. The 19 and 18-year-old were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder while the other two males were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences. Previously, Detective Chief inspector James Entwistle who is leading the enquiry, said: 'I want to thank residents who have contacted us with information so far. "We have had a strong response from communities who we know absolutely don't want to see exceptionally serious offending near their homes. 'I also want to reassure residents that we are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry and have recovered the vehicle believed to have been used in the incident. We remain determined to bring to justice those who are responsible. 'We also want to encourage anyone who can assist us investigate this very serious offence who has not come forwards as yet, for whatever reason, to please do so.' Anyone who has information about the incident, which took place at about 3pm on 22 July, is asked to speak with the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team on 101 or online at referencing Operation Pikemont. This Critically Panned Book Adaptation Is A Top Movie On Netflix Right Now
'My Oxford Year' is currently one of the top movies on Netflix, according to the platform's public ranking system. The romance film, based on Julia Whelan's 2018 novel, follows an ambitious American woman (Sofia Carson) who sets out for the University of Oxford in England to fulfill a childhood dream and ends up falling for a charming local (Corey Mylchreest). Some critics had less-than-thrilling things to say about the movie, noting its cookie-cutter characters, emotionally hollow plot and uninteresting adaptation of Whelan's text.
