
Abdulla Al Hamed holds talks with media leaders in London
These engagements form part of NMO's ongoing preparations for the upcoming Bridge Summit, scheduled to take place in Abu Dhabi this December. The meetings aimed to strengthen international partnerships and expand cooperation with leading global institutions, contributing to the enrichment of the summit's content and reinforcing its status as a global hub for media dialogue.
Discussions explored opportunities to enhance collaboration and establish strategic partnerships to drive the growth of innovative media projects and ensure the sector's long-term sustainability.
The talks also focused on enriching visual and digital content and utilising emerging technologies to support innovation and creativity within the media industry.
Al Hamed emphasised that the UAE leadership's vision for media stems from a firm belief in its role as a key driver in building knowledge-based societies and as a bridge for cultural exchange with the world. He reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to fostering integrated partnerships with international institutions to elevate the global standing of UAE media and incorporate best practices that keep pace with rapid global developments.
He noted that the Bridge Summit reflects an ambitious vision to develop a forward-looking media ecosystem that aligns with evolving technologies and anticipates the future of digital media.
'Through this summit, we aim to establish a global platform for constructive dialogue and knowledge exchange among leaders in media and technology, contributing to the development of innovative media solutions that serve communities and promote the values of tolerance and coexistence,' he said.

FNC holds special UAE–EU session
The Federal National Council (FNC) held a special UAE–European session in Abu Dhabi on Monday, chaired by Speaker Saqr Ghobash, as part of its 18th legislative term. The high-level session welcomed Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, along with ministers, senior officials, EU ambassadors and European business leaders operating in the UAE. In his opening remarks, Ghobash welcomed Metsola and her delegation, stressing the UAE's commitment to dialogue and parliamentary cooperation. He said the session marks the start of deeper joint initiatives on global challenges such as peace, sustainable development and combating extremism. Ghobash also addressed urgent regional issues, calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and a political resolution to the conflict. He reaffirmed the UAE's stance on diplomacy and dialogue in resolving disputes and tensions, including the targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities. In her speech, Metsola praised the UAE's leadership in promoting peace and coexistence, calling the visit a turning point in EU-UAE relations. "I stand before you today representing 450 million European citizens, carrying a message of hope and optimism that this visit will mark a new beginning for strengthening our bilateral ties and expanding the horizons of partnership between the European Parliament and the UAE through constructive dialogue and cooperation," she said. The President of the European Parliament highlighted strong UAE-EU trade ties, valued at €328 billion (AED 1.39 trillion), and emphasised tourism, education and culture as key pillars of future cooperation. Ministerial Development Council reviews key government reports
The meeting's agenda included discussions on proposed regulatory decisions related to donation policies, the tax system, and government services. The Council also reviewed updates on the implementation of policies and programmes related to national housing, education, labour market, food safety, climate change and saving environment. And reviewed the achievements of 'Make it in the Emirates'. Ministries' and federal entities' reports on advancing the efficiency of the federal government sector were also reviewed. In governmental work affairs, the Council reviewed recommendations from the Federal National Council on bolstering the performance of public sector employees and strengthening the role of government media channels in protecting the national identity. The meetings also discussed the Federal National Council's requests regarding the government's efforts to improve the quality of life for People of Determination and ensure their inclusion in both education and the labour market.
