Lush brings back iconic Christmas product to shelves FIVE months early

The Sun3 days ago

CHRISTMAS has come early as a major retailer kicks off the festive cheer.
Lush has stunned shoppers by bringing back one of its most iconic festive favourites five months ahead of schedule.
Bottles of the much-loved Snow Fairy body mist have already been spotted on shelves across the UK and beauty lovers can't believe their luck.
Normally reserved for the wintry build-up to December, the sweet and sugary scent has landed smack bang in the middle of summer.
But there's a twist as this year's version comes with a magical new makeover.
Lush has paired the candyfloss-scented Snow Fairy with its fresh, citrusy Super Milk spray.
Nicknamed Super Fairy, it's been described by the brand as being like 'sweet and salty popcorn' or 'pineapple on pizza'.
The dreamy duo now comes as a body lotion, shower gel and bath bomb, with prices ranging from £6 to £27 depending on the size you pick.
If you're not ready for the crossover, the original Snow Fairy scent is also available solo, in everything from glitter body mist to shower powder.
You can bag a shimmering Snow Fairy Glitter Mist for £18, a mini version for £9, and even a bubble bar on a stick for £8 to keep the sparkle going right through to Christmas.
There's also a crackling shower powder for just £6.
Shoppers are raving about the early surprise online, with many stocking up now before it disappears again until late 2025.
Primark shoppers race to buy £3.50 Lush dupes that are perfect for burr baskets
One customer wrote: 'It's basically summer and Christmas in a bottle – I'm obsessed.'
And it's not just Lush that's rolling out the tinsel early.
Retailers across the UK are diving head-first into festive mode.
Over at The Range, you can already find candy canes, nutcrackers and full blown Christmas trees.
Meanwhile, Dunelm is flogging a 'Fabulous Christmas' doormat to welcome in the season, along with Christmas dinner sets and a golden mistletoe wreath.
Boots has launched its own dedicated Christmas webpage, urging customers to start ticking off their lists and saving points on their Advantage Cards now.
But there may be method to this madness.
Many savvy shoppers prefer to shop in advance to help ease the cost of the expensive festive season.
Money guru Lynn Beattie, AKA Mrs Mummypenny, says it's a smart move.
'Spreading the cost of Christmas throughout the year is a great way to enjoy the festive season without the stress,' she said.
And it seems Brits are listening. Studies show over a third of adults have already started budgeting for Christmas, despite it still being six months away.
With retailers pulling out the baubles in June and iconic scents like Snow Fairy flying off shelves, now is the perfect time to stock up and store away.
Top tips to save for Christmas
Here are Mrs Mummypenny's top tips for saving money at Christmas:
1. Save a little bit every week
Placing a small amount into a savings account every week can really add up over time.
Many banks offer a round-up function where daily spending is rounded up to the nearest pound, with that amount going to a separate savings pot.
2. Start planning - now
If you can identify everything you'd like to do this Christmas, you can work out roughly how much you need to save to cover the entire cost.
3. Get ahead of your bills using your smart meter
The screen that comes with your smart meter allows you to see your energy usage, make adjustments and save money.
If you have a smart prepayment meter you can top up your credit online or over the phone from the comfort of your own sofa instead of going to the shops.
4. Use loyalty cards and vouchers to pay for Christmas presents
Many places offer loyalty schemes such as supermarkets, where you can collect points and vouchers and use them to buy presents.
5. Get cash back on all online purchases
Set up an account with the cash back site and go there first to find your chosen retailer.
Then click through as normal to your chosen retailer or bill provider, triggering the cookies and getting you the cash back if you make a purchase.
6. Sell your clutter
I urge you to spend ten minutes looking around your house and finding ten items that you no longer use or want that you can sell.

Inside newly-single Sophie Radford's ‘feral' Saturday night out – from her sexy outfit to downing shots & signing boobs

SHE bemoaned her "full on" mummy lifestyle just months before she appeared to confirm she's split from her husband. And now Sophie Radford - the eldest daughter of parents-of-22 Sue and Noel Radford - is reportedly single again, she seems to be making up for lost time on the partying front. 7 7 7 7 The mother-of-three took to her Instagram page to share pictures and videos from the wild night out with her pals on her Stories. Sophie dressed to impress for the evening out, and showed off her gym-honed figure in a mesh see-through crop top and leather trousers, which she teamed with some tie up heels. The 31-year-old looked like she was enjoying herself as she posed for snaps with her mate Cerys, who wrote "let's get feral" over the top of a picture of herself and Sophie. The alcohol then started flowing, with Sophie posting a video of a tray full of shots. She also turned "shot girl" as she carried a tray of drinks back to her table, shimmying in delight as she did so. The drinking continued as Sophie and Cerys downed their shots, before the former got up close and personal with one of her mates. In a video of her friend sporting some writing on her decolletage, Sophie added: "Had a fan ask for a picture so Georgia made me sign her t**s!" The evening out concluded with a "pit stop" at McDonald's on the way home, with Sophie treating herself to a large fries and a double cheeseburger. The wild festivities came after Sophie broke down in tears as she admitted she was struggling during an episode of the family's reality show 22 Kids & Counting last August. During the run-up to her 30th birthday, she reflected on how her life had changed since becoming a mother. "Usually people in their twenties are out partying, but my twenties were very different, I had three kids, all within a year between them," she said. "It's hard going, it's definitely hard going. It's the same routine every day, it's so full on, all the time." The mum also acknowledged that her relationship with husband Joe Broadley had suffered since having children. "With me and Joe, we used to go out to cinemas, out for meals, go out shopping, do all sorts of things and it all stopped," she added. "Because I've seen my mum and dad so happy, I do feel like I should be like that as well. However, it's not for everyone. Sophie hinted during a Q&A with fans on Instagram in May that her marriage hadn't worked out. The Radford Family's TV history THE first ever episode of 22 Kids and Counting aired on Channel 5 on 22nd February, 2021. After the first series - which had just four episodes in it - performed well, Channel 5 commissioned a 10-episode second season, which was broadcast in 2022. They went on to commission a third series, which included a Christmas special aired in December 2023. The fourth season began airing in January 2024, but fans were left disappointed when it stopped after six episodes. Sue and Noel reassured viewers that they were just taking a little break, and the next episode will be airing on 21st July. You can catch up on all previous episodes of 22 Kids and Counting on My 5, here. Asked by a curious fan if she was single after being married for almost 10 years, Sophie replied: "YES. That's all that will be said on it." Sophie and Joe married in 2015 and have three children together, Daisy Mae, 12, Ayprill Louise, 10, and Leo, nine. Earlier in the Q&A session, Sophie was asked how she and Joe were. When they asked, "How are you and Joe?", Sophie answered: "How are we... TBC. Privacy". 7 7 7

MAFS star rushes son to A&E after brutal football accident as he shares pics from hospital

A MARRIED At First Sight groom sparked concern among fans after revealing his son had been rushed to hospital. The parent of one, who appeared in last year's E4 series, captured youngster Leo with a bandaged head after he received treatment in the medical ward. 6 6 6 Ryan Livesey, who entered the Married At First Sight experiment as an intruder groom, showcased his brave seven-year-old offspring sitting patiently in the Paedeatric Emergency Department. He had a white bandage taped on the back of his skull with a bloodied wound visible underneath. Yet despite the drama, the youngster looked content to be playing a game on his hand held console. The TV star wrote on his Instagram caption: "A&E on a Friday night. "Leo's split his head open playing football." In the next slide posted to his Instagram Stories, Ryan revealed the wound in full glory. There were no further updates, suggesting the schoolboy is home and well. It is his second hospital trip in a matter of months, after he was rushed to hospital in December. He has previously described Leo as "my world, my purpose, my everything." RYAN'S HEALTH ISSUES Ryan was 22 when he learned he was going to be a dad, back in 2017, when he learned he was going to be a dad. MAFS groom bravely opens up about his battle with cancer saying 'it could come back' But his world was turned upside down three months later when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. He fought the disease, only for it to return 18 months later. "Facing all of this at such a young age was the hardest thing I've ever been through," Ryan has said. He previously opened up to The Sun about how he discovered he had the terrifying disease after wetting the bed. Mafs couples that have stood the test of time Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby. The pair couldn't keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam's Doncaster home. Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau. Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December. Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: 'I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out - and excited for everything to come.' Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019. Owen recalled: 'I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work. "While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in. 'The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, 'Wouldn't it be funny if I signed up?' 'A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.' Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson. Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, the show's first same sex pairing are still going strong. They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod. Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: "We're not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship." I started wetting the bed, it was really embarrassing but I put it down to having too much to drink and of course, I didn't tell anyone and hid it,' Ryan said. 'I'd go to the toilet and not feel like I was emptying my bladder properly. 'I'd have to go again 20 minutes later because I couldn't hold it in. He then noticed blood in his urine after a night out a few months later. Ryan was diagnosed with stage two bladder cancer, making one of the 10,500 people in the UK each year - and 29 per day - to receive this life-changing news. 'I was in complete shock,' Ryan admitted. Luckily, after two battles with the disease, Ryan is now in remission. 6 6
