ISKCON to hold Jagannath Rath Yatra tomorrow
'A vibrant and cherished tradition is schedule to take place from R.S. Brothers, Chandanagar at 2.00 pm on Saturday and the Rath Procession will proceed through the main streets of Madinaguda, Allwyn Cross Road, Miyapur Cross Road, J.P. Nagar and end at Vishwanth Gardens', said ISKCON Miyapur Hyderabad Temple President Sriramdas.
The event attracts thousands of devotees and spectators from 10 countries, symbolizing unity, devotion and community spirit, he added. He also stated that the participation by several dignitaries and devotees underscores the cultural and social importance of the Jagannath Ratha Yatra, highlighting its role in prompting harmony and understanding among diverse communities.
Elaborate arrangements for devotees are made like supply of drinking water, Prasadam distribution throughout procession points and cultural programmes, speeches by dignitaries, and other programmes at Vishwanath Garden.

While speaking to news agency PTI, Dr K Ramesh, chief conservator of forests in Gujarat, said,' Their team responded swiftly and professionally, working closely with our officials and local animal handlers to assess the elephants' condition and ensure their safe relocation.' He stated that Vantara's team provided immediate medical treatment and trauma support, and conducted behavioural assessments on the affected elephants. He said the animals are under continual care at Vantara's facility, which is purposely built for this circumstance. VVIT University celebrates Jagannath Rath Yatra
Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) University celebrated the Jagannath Rath Yatra with grandeur and spiritual fervour, drawing hundreds of devotees, students, and faculty to a vibrant procession, on Tuesday. The yatra began at the Sri Bhramaramba Malleswara Swamy temple in Pedakakani and concluded at VVIT University's campus in Namburu. VVIT chairman Vasireddy Vidyasagar flagged off the procession, which resonated with the chants of 'Jaya Jayahe Jai Jagannath' as devotees, students, and members of ISKCON, Mangalagiri, walked in unison. Residents of Gollamudi village greeted the procession with traditional 'arti' and floral offerings, adding cultural warmth to the event. Upon reaching the VVIT campus, ISKCON members performed a special puja and Maha Aarti, marking the culmination of the yatra.

Power outage in few parts of Eluru on July 1
The Eastern Power Distribution Company (EPDCL) has announced a temporary power shutdown in parts of Eluru city on Tuesday (July 1) from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in view of the ISKCON Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra procession. According to a press release issued by K.M. Ambedkar, Executive Engineer, Eluru Operation Circle, the power supply will be interrupted in areas under the Kotadibba substation. The affected localities include Main Bazaar, Agraharam, New Market, Gajjala Vari Cheruvu Area, Clock Tower, Kundi Center, Nawabpeta, Vennavallivari Peta, Satyanarayanapeta, and Perugu Chettu. Residents and electricity consumers in these areas are requested to cooperate with the temporary disruption during the procession hours.
