Former Iowa women's basketball player lands first coaching job
The 6-foot-2, native of Hudsonville, Michigan played a total of 68 games for the Hawkeyes from 2021 to 2025, where she averaged just 1.7 points on 57.6% from the floor and 65.5% from the free-throw line to go along with 1.0 rebounds, 0.2 assists, 0.1 steals in 3:49 of action per game. Ediger would also finish her Hawkeyes career with three blocks.
While Ediger came in off the bench mainly when the results of games were essentially determined, the graduate assistant role in Milwaukee will provide her with valuable skills that she could use to advance herself in the field of coaching, if that is what she desires.
Regardless of her future endeavors beyond this upcoming season, Ediger is another example of a former Hawkeye taking their love for the game of basketball to the next level.

Nebraska volleyball announces schedule change
The Nebaska volleyball team has announced a change to their 2025 schedule. The Huskers' match against the USC Trojans will be played on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2:00 p.m. CT, after being originally scheduled for Nov. 15. The change is being made due to scheduling conflicts. The Huskers' West Coast road trip also includes a match at the UCLA Bruins on Friday, Nov. 14. Nebraska will open the 2025 season on Friday, August 22, when the Huskers host Pittsburgh at 6:00 p.m. CT at the Pinnacle Bank Arena as part of the AVCA First Serve. Adam Schefter says Terry McLaurin wants more money than Steelers' DK Metcalf
Star WR Terry McLaurin set off a speculation firestorm with his trade request on Thursday — but there may now be a clearer idea of his desired contract amount, one that surpasses Steelers WR DK Metcalf. On a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, ESPN's Adam Schefter shared some insight on McLaurin's contract talks with the Commanders — comparing Metcalf's historic deal with the Steelers as the bar he's looking to surpass. "It's up to the two sides to figure out a way to bridge their differences," Schefter said. "But I would say that DK Metcalf was the same draft class as Terry McLaurin, he got about $33 million per year. I wouldn't think that Terry is going to take less than that — and I think he wants considerably more than that." Consider the high price tag and premium draft capital needed to acquire him, a potential Steelers trade for McLaurin may not be in the cards — despite still being considered one of the betting favorites to land the star wide receiver. Metcalf's extension wasn't the only trend-setting move made by Pittsburgh — as the Steelers made T.J. Watt the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL a few weeks ago, potentially making it difficult for the rest of the league to pay their edge rushers.
