How to catch Shiny Swirlix and evolve its standard version in Pokémon GO?
(Image via Pokémon Go's 'X' Account) In Pokémon Go, to hunt a shiny variant of a Pokémon is always exciting. The rare variant of Swirlix isn't an exception. With trainers having boosted odds of catching one during special events, one has a better shot at adding this pastel candy-colored sweet Pokémon variant to one's collection. Additionally, evolving a standard Swirlix to an elegant Slurpuff needs some extra steps, too. This guide offers exact information one might need to catch Shiny Swirlix and evolve a standard version to Slurpuff. How to catch Shiny Swirlix in Pokémon Go? — pokemongoapp (@pokemongoapp) Shiny Swirlix, despite being released already within the game are not easily found. Trainers need to do Pokémon Go shiny hunting to have some wild encounters. It's just like finding its standard version in Pokemon Go. But during the 'Delightful Days Sweet Swarm event,' running between August 3, 2025, and August 6, 2025 (11:59 PM), the Pokémon's shiny rate increases. The best way to encounter it would be to complete Timed Pokémon GO Research tasks and Field research. It will reward players with Swirlix encounters. Pro tip: You can even get a Shiny Swirlix as research rewards. Lure Modules even play a key role here. To activate them at PokéStops during the event, running time will attract Swirlix for a complete hour, not 30 minutes. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Family Adopted A New 'Dog', But When The Vet Sees It He Calls The Police Undo As shiny odds will remain high during the period, grinding research tasks and using Lures will maximize chances of finding the brown-and-tanned variant of Swirlix. Note: While Swirlix shiny versions, just like any other shiny Pokemon, does not come with actual advantage over its standard counterparts. But its unique color makes it a standout addition. How to evolve Swirlix to Slurpuff? HOW TO GET LOTS OF SHINY SWIRLIX IN POKEMON GO! New Shiny BOOSTED Rate / Research Day Review Swirlix evolution into Slurpuff is not as simple as collecting candy. For it, you will need 50 Swirlix Candy apart from feeding the Pokémon 25 treats (Poffins, Berries, etc.). As both conditions will be met, a simple Evolve button click will unlock the Pokémon in the menu. Note: Catch as many Swirlix as possible. Later, transfer extras to Professor Willow. If you caught Shiny Swirlix, a similar rule applies. To evolve, it will turn it into a shiny Slurpuff. As it can only be earned via catching more Swirlix or by walking with the Pokémon as your buddy, dedicated trainers can speed this process, staying active at the time of the event. How to solo defeat Lunala in Pokémon GO 5-star raids easily?
(Image via The Pokemon Company) Think soloing a 5-star raid is impossible? Not when Lunala's involved. Thanks to its double weakness to Ghost and Dark types, even a solo trainer can take it down without remote invites and group coordination with just you and your top-tier counters. Here's your complete guide to solo beating Lunala in Pokémon GO. Know Your Opponent: Lunala Basics Type : Psychic / Ghost Double Weakness: Ghost & Dark Combat Power (CP): ~48,000 Best Weather Boosts: Foggy (boosts both Ghost and Dark) Lunala's unique dual-typing makes it surprisingly vulnerable, a rare double weakness. That's your biggest solo advantage. Soloing Lunala: Pre-Raid Checklist Before you hop in, make sure: Your best Ghost/Dark Pokémon are Level 45+ (ideally Level 50) You're using Foggy weather for move boosts You've stocked up on Revives and Potions Your internet connection is stable (disconnecting = instant fail) Lunala Raid Guide in Pokémon GO – Best Counters, Movesets & Tips! #pokemongo #pokemon Best Pokémon to Solo Lunala Here are your top counters, all of them must be Level 50 for this to work. 1. Mega Tyranitar (Bite + Brutal Swing) Absolutely melts Lunala with brutal Dark-type spam. Shadow variant works too. 2. Mega Gengar (Lick + Shadow Ball) Insane DPS, but glassy. Works best if Lunala doesn't know Shadow Ball. 3. Dawn Wings Necrozma (Shadow Claw + Moongeist Beam) Excellent neutral coverage, especially if Lunala runs Psychic or Moonblast. 4. Mega Absol (Snarl + Payback/Brutal Swing) Surprisingly viable. High DPS and easily accessible. Pro tip: Shadow versions of Weavile, Mewtwo (with Shadow Ball), or Hydreigon (with Brutal Swing) also work brilliantly. Raid Strategy: Solo Battle Plan Lead with your strongest attacker (preferably a Mega or Shadow). When Lunala hits red HP, pause using Charged Moves, heal your main attacker, and re-enter fast. Bring a backup Pokémon to stay in the lobby if your main faints. This prevents a forced relobby. Focus on dodging Charged Moves if Lunala uses Shadow Ball; it hits hard . Weather Conditions Matter Foggy Weather : Boosts Ghost and Dark moves. Windy Weather : Boosts Lunala's Psychic moves. Key Moves to Watch Out For Lunala may know: Shadow Ball (Ghost) – dangerous for Mega Gengar Moonblast (Fairy) – easy for Dark-types to tank Air Slash (Flying) – neutral, but still hurts glassy counters Adjust your lineup based on the boss's moveset. You can't reset raids to get better moves, so adapt wisely. Soloing Lunala isn't just possible; it's achievable with smart prep and perfect execution. Focus on high-level Ghost and Dark attackers, exploit Foggy weather when you can, and time your heals right. This is one of the rare 5-star raids where you don't need a team; just your best Pokémon and a little strategy. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!
