Melanie Lynskey just shared the most peculiar detail about her daughter, and it just shows she gave birth to an adorable, curious kiddo!
On the June 26 episode of the Drama Queens podcast, Lynskey talked about a plethora of subjects, including how her daughter is oddly 'fascinated' by her ex-husband, Jimmi Simpson.

Fun fact: before Lynskey married Jason Ritter, she was married before to actor Simpson, known for his roles in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Zodiac, and Unhinged. They met in 2001 while filming Rose Red, and dated soon after. They married in 2007 after a two-year engagement, and were together until 2012 when Lynskey filed for divorce. However, fret not, they're still pals to this day, referring to each other as 'wonderful' or 'dear friend,' per The List.
But back to Lynskey's daughter: she's 'fascinated' by Simpson. 'My daughter is, like, fascinated with him. I accidentally see the ex-husband in front of her one day, she was like, 'Mommy,' and she was like, 'Did you kiss him?' I said, yeah. I sure did. Bunch of times,' the Candy star said during the appearance.
For those who don't know, Lynskey and Ritter started dating in 2013, later getting engaged in Feb 2017. They later married in 2020. They welcomed a daughter in 2018, but didn't announce it until 2019; and have yet to release her name to the public to keep her privacy.
In a previous interview with People, the Yellowjackets star talked about how much she loves being a mom. 'I feel so fortunate to have my daughter, and I love her,' she said. 'It's like the joy of my life. Every day, I'm like, 'Thank you, thank you, thank you for this child.' I want to spend every minute with her.'

LSU Baseball Player's NIL Deal With Crocs Turns Heads

LSU Baseball Player's NIL Deal With Crocs Turns Heads originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Some athletes wear lucky socks. Jake Brown? He wears Crocs. And now, the LSU Tigers star has turned his off-field fashion statement into a full-fledged NIL win by partnering with Crocs in a move that has fans buzzing and teammates styling. Advertisement The deal didn't start with an agent or a contract, it started with Brown's love for quirky, customized Crocs, from Star Wars-themed Jibbitz to Pizza Planet prints. After Brown mentioned his passion for the iconic slip-ons in an interview during the Tigers' 2025 College World Series run, Crocs came calling. 'They reached out and they said, 'Hey, we're looking forward to sending you a little bit of stuff. Just send us your address,'' Brown told Hurrdat Sports. 'They messaged back right away saying, 'We actually want to hook up all the guys… we can overnight ship them to the hotel.' I was like, 'Absolutely. Yes. Please do that.'' What followed was pure NIL magic. LSU's team strolled into Game 1 of the CWS final against Coastal Carolina decked out in fresh Crocs, with Brown at the center of it all. His message to the team group chat, 'Everyone send me your Croc size.' Advertisement The Tigers went on to win 1-0, led by a dominant shutout from pitcher Kade Anderson, who struck out 10 across nine innings. Confidence? Style? Luck? Whatever it was, it worked. 'I didn't think they thought it was going to happen,' Anderson said. 'In about five minutes, the group chat just, boom, boom, boom. It was blowing up.' A few days later, LSU clinched its second national title in three years with a 5-3 win in the Men's College World Series finals. Brown may not have thrown the final pitch, but his NIL savvy helped unify a locker room and earned him one of the most unique deals in college baseball. The Crocs origin story? Even better. Advertisement Brown used some of his NIL cash to grab themed pairs and design ideas for a custom LSU-inspired version. 'I have Pizza Planet-Toy Story Crocs that I bought with per diem money thanks to Champ Artigues, our baseball ops guy… I love my Crocs,' he said. © Dylan Widger-Imagn Images He even pitched Crocs a Louisiana-style collab: gator and pelican Jibbitz, purple and gold themes, and of course, a Tiger or two. In a crowded NIL landscape where logos and car deals often dominate the headlines, Jake Brown's Crocs moment feels fresh, authentic, and fun. It's a reminder that NIL isn't just about the money. Sometimes, it's about the magic of being seen, being yourself, and sharing it with your team. Advertisement So, what's next? If Crocs and Brown roll out that LSU-themed pair, fans, and maybe future recruits will be lining up to walk in his shoes. GB News announces expansion into the US

GB News is expanding into the US with a new live nightly show hosted by Bev Turner. The news channel, launched in 2021, will open a new bureau in Washington DC as it launches its services across the Atlantic. The two-hour programme will begin in September from a studio 'close to the White House' and will 'bring British audiences closer than ever to the political news which unfolds each day in America'. The programme will feature 'headline-making exclusives, thought-provoking interviews with major figures, and in-depth analysis of the Trump presidency as well as stories from across the US', according to GB News. The move includes an extension of GB News' distribution across the US, with content to be made available free to American audiences. Turner said: 'With the gutsiest guests and the most iconic backdrops, I intend to keep viewers up late. Fronting the next stage of GB News's evolution is both a huge honour and an immense responsibility, and I cannot wait to represent the people's channel on a global stage. 'We will be disrupting the late-night TV space as the next day's papers land in the UK and America's prime-time analysis gears up. This affords us the chance to deliver a unique UK-USA hybrid of political, cultural and social issues from the start-line of global politics. 'We will fulfil the need for a British voice with an international perspective to help our viewers get a sense of who's really on their side. 'Tapping into Washington's heartbeat and delivering real-time perspective with editorial edge, the show will be alive, and a conversation that's punchy, intelligent and unmissable. What happens in DC reverberates in GB and we will capture every moment. 'Our highly engaged British audience understands how events in the US are directly impacting government policy and living standards here. 'We have a job to do: bridging the gap between British and American politics in the fearless style that typifies GB News. 'We will include the very best guests that Washington has to offer, alongside quintessentially British voices in an unparalleled assessment of events on both sides of the Atlantic. 'This isn't just a media experiment, this is a market intervention. And I look forward to leading it from the front.' Turner, 51, who began presenting her own show on GB News in 2022, previously hosted a talk show on LBC and has appeared on ITV's This Morning and Good Morning Britain. Michael Booker, GB News editorial director, said: 'This is a huge moment for GB News as we grow our presence and deliver more of the fearless journalism that defines us. 'The world's biggest political story is playing out in Washington, and its impact is being felt daily in towns and cities across Britain. 'More than ever before, what happens in the USA is having huge consequences, both socially and economically, for the people of Britain. 'We've seen time and again this year that a decision made on one day in Washington DC is felt the next day in Washington, Tyne and Wear. 'It's essential the people's channel is right there, reporting live, asking the tough questions, and telling it like it is. 'While others scale back on live free coverage, GB News is investing in our content. 'Our new Washington investment, our expanded programming and our brilliant on-the-ground team will ensure we're not just reporting on the story but that we're right at the heart of it.'
