Australia's top-rated mattress for back pain is finally on sale: Here's why thousands are ditching their old beds for Ergoflex

7NEWS20-05-2025
Let's be honest, few things ruin your day faster than a bad night's sleep. And if you're waking up sore, stiff or more tired than when you went to bed, your mattress might be to blame.
That's where Ergoflex comes in. They've quietly become the go-to brand for Aussies dealing with back pain, and now their cult-favourite mattress is up to 30 per cent off for the End of Financial Year sale.
The timing could not be better.
The Ergoflex 5G Memory Foam Mattress has been dubbed Australia's number one for back pain relief, and it is designed to cradle your body while properly supporting your spine.
Health professionals love it, thousands of customers rave about it, and now it's on sale until 7 July 2025 at 11.59 pm AEST.
The sale officially kicks off Friday, 6 June, but if you want to beat the rush, you can get early access using the code EOFYS at checkout.
So, what makes this mattress so special? For starters, it's an orthopaedic-grade memory foam mattress that moulds to your body, relieving pressure and keeping your spine in a natural position while you sleep.
It's also built with a Cool-Sleep airflow system, which means no more tossing and turning in a sweaty tangle of sheets.
And yes, it actually works. One happy customer, Emma, says: ' LOVE! This mattress is the best of the best, the most comfortable mattress I've ever had, no more back problems.'
'I have gotten five mattresses so far! My family are in love with how it feels.'
Ergoflex isn't some new kid on the block, either. They were Australia's first mattress-in-a-box brand, launching back in 2006.
Since then, they've celebrated 15 years of helping Aussies get better sleep, and they've picked up thousands of five-star reviews along the way.
Whether you're waking up with a sore back or just ready to upgrade your sleep situation, this EOFY sale is the perfect excuse to invest in something that actually improves your health.
Here's what you can grab in the sale:
Single Mattress – Save over $250, now $629.99
Long Single – Save over $280, now $664.99
King Single – Save $300, now $699.99
Double – Save $240, now $949.99
Queen – Save over $350, now $1,087.49
King – Save over $450, now $1,199.99
Memory Foam Pillow – Save $45, now $104.99 each
They also offer bed frames, protectors and sheets, all up to 30 per cent off.
Plus, you'll get next-day delivery, free returns, and a 30-night home trial. So if it's not quite right, you're covered.
But if the thousands of glowing reviews are anything to go by, chances are you'll be sleeping like a baby in no time.
With prices like these, don't be surprised if stock flies out the door.

Jovan Cvetkoski: Here's why every Australian worker should have income protection insurance

Have you ever thought about what might happen to you and your family if you suddenly couldn't work? Whether that's due to an illness, accident, redundancy or a sudden but important caring role. How would you cope without an active income? Would you sell your assets? Rely on government payments that are considerably less than your current income or move back in with your parents? Most of us would never consider driving around in our car uninsured, yet only one in three Australians insure their most important asset — their ability to earn an income. Many people I talk to say: 'Well, I own my house.' But unless you're one of the very lucky ones, unfortunately you don't own your house — the bank does. A mortgage is not a financial plan. In Australia we protect our health with private health cover, we protect our cars with car insurance, our home with home and contents insurance, so why don't we protect our income? Because when you really get back to basics, your income is your biggest asset. It pays for your home, your family, your weekends, puts food on the table and pays for the kids' school fees. I believe Aussies are chronically underinsured. Here's why you need to consider income protection insurance Aussies are known all over the world for our laconic 'she'll be right' attitude and most of us truly believe it won't happen to us. And while you have to admire our optimism, it does indeed happen to many of us. Australians suffer from a bit of inertia when it comes to insurance. Many of us have a general lack of awareness about what types of cover are available and what they're for. There's also confusion over costs. Many Australians believe insurance is expensive, but in reality it's very affordable and has become less inexpensive in recent years as we tend to live longer. While it's often a difficult topic to broach as it involves thinking about getting sick or even dying, it's the best gift you can give your family because they won't have to worry about paying the bills. But unfortunately, when cost of living is tight, that's when things like insurance — often seen as a non-essential — get cut from household budgets. But it's also when we need it most. 1. Life and Total and Permanent Disability insurance Covers you for: 2. Trauma cover Covers you for: 3. Income protection Covers you for: I unfortunately see a lot of people who need to claim income protection and (for those with it) the financial stress is alleviated, allowing them to focus on recovery. This heavily depends on your circumstances, but you generally require enough cover to pay out a mortgage, cover funeral and medical costs, maybe keep the kids in private school and/or provide an income for your spouse. You will require the most cover in your late 30s to early 50s when debt is at its highest, living off one income and paying for school fees. Insurance levels, like other parts of your financial life, should be reviewed regularly. As kids get older and debt is reduced the level of cover required can often also be reduced. We never know what's around the corner for us, but having income protection insurance is one thing we can control, and it means no matter what happens we can always roll the dice in our favour. The Gift of Life Walk officially launched National Organ Donor Week at Lake Galup on Sunday

The quiet ripple of footsteps around Lake Galup (Lake Monger) on Sunday morning carried with it a powerful message — that one small decision can save up to seven lives. The Gift of Life Walk officially launched National Organ Donor Week in WA, bringing together transplant recipients, donor families, nurses and advocates in a celebration of second chances. Since March, organ donation registrations in WA have surged by 50 per cent — a remarkable increase credited to a collaboration between DonateLife WA and the Department of Transport. The partnership reinstated organ donation messaging on driver's licence and vehicle renewal forms, putting the life-saving option back in front of everyday Aussies. Yet, despite the progress, only around 35 per cent of eligible people are registered organ donors — and more than 1,800 people remain on transplant waiting lists across the state. Jake Prince is living proof of what those ticking the box can do. Now 18, Jake was Australia's 2000th liver transplant recipient. Born with a rare genetic liver condition, he spent most of his childhood in hospital, too weak to run, play or keep up with other kids. 'I was sick. I was tired. I was in hospital all the time,' he said. But at 13, everything changed. A liver became available — and so did a life he never thought possible. 'It's absolutely life-changing. I'm able to do everything I couldn't do before. I got back to school, travelled to Europe, learned to ski, and competed at world sporting events. I'm now a champion athlete,' Jake said. 'You'll never regret registering. It's going to change someone's life — maybe even save it. There's really no downside.' That belief is echoed in hospital wards across WA. Intensive care nurse Caley Hensworth has seen the heartbreak — and the hope — that comes with organ donation. 'A few years ago, we had a patient who sadly passed from brain death. But they were able to donate seven organs. For the family, it helped their healing process,' she said. 'My husband's stepmum passed away from a stroke and also became a donor. I've seen how comforting it is for families to know their loss has given others a future. It doesn't take away the grief, but it softens it.' Caley recalls one woman who received a kidney 40 years ago. She's now a mother of three and a teacher — a full life made possible by one generous act. 'Organ donation doesn't just change the recipient's life — it transforms the lives of everyone around them. If it was your mum, your brother, your child… you'd never regret it.' National Organ Donor Week continues until Sunday, August 3. To register as an organ and tissue donor, visit
