‘Great idea' – How genius EFL minnows are looking to make huge profit out of Oasis gig this weekend
EFL club Barnet have been hailed for their genius move as they look to profit from Oasis coming to London. Liam and Noel Gallagher 's comeback tour sees them sell out Wembley Stadium five times from July 25 to August 3. 2 2 Barnet, who earned promotion to League Two after winning the National League title last season, are cashing in from Oasis performing just four miles away. The club play their home matches at The Hive, which is just a five minute stroll up the road from Canons Park tube station. Wembley Park station is just three stops along the Jubilee Line from there. So Barnet are cleverly allowing Oasis fans to park their cars at The Hive for just £10. The Bees joked: "Some Might Say it's the best parking available." They have sneakily bumped up the price given the demand as parking for a match at the ground is usually only £8. Oasis' tour has been popular with footballers amid the likes of Steve Bruce, Michael Carrick and Darren Fletcher forming a Manchester United legends gang and going to a gig together. Bruce was seen wearing a bucket hat, while Carrick doubled up as he held onto two pints as they posed with supporters. And they are not the only managers to enjoy the concert this summer after Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola sung along in the crowd with his daughter Maria.
