Construction to the stadium is ongoing, and athletic director Pat Kraft previously hinted at temporary seating being incorporated for the spring game.
Head coach James Franklin said last month the game may be formatted differently than previous iterations, but will be taking place despite other programs around the country cancelling their spring games.
The rosters for the two teams haven't been announced, and weren't revealed until the week of the game last season.

Dylan Raiola likens relationship with Patrick Mahomes to Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan

Before he ever took a snap at the college level, the comparisons were unavoidable for Dylan Raiola. Between his position, No. 15 jersey number, his hair and, at times, his playing style, the Nebraska quarterback has been frequently linked to Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes. It's not a connection that Raiola shies away from. If anything, he embraces it — so much so that he has a historical comparison for it. REQUIRED READING: Big Ten college football power rankings start with Penn State, Ohio State In an interview with the Cover 3 Podcast on July 22 at Big Ten media days in Las Vegas, Raiola likened the way he views and tries to emulate Mahomes to Kobe Bryant's relationship with Michael Jordan. 'I'm not comparing myself to Kobe or anything, but like Kobe did to Mike, that's kind of what it is for me to Patrick,' Raiola said. 'He's one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now, if not the best. Just for me to be able to have someone to look up to, talk, call, whatever…the comparisons are kind of everything outside. I can't control that god made me look like this, play the same sport. It's all love.' Nebraska's Dylan Raiola On his relationship with Patrick Mahomes:"What Kobe did to Mike, That's kind of what it is for me to Patrick" #BigTenMediaDays #Nebraska #dylanraiola Over the course of his legendary NBA career, Bryant became perhaps the closest thing the sport had seen to Jordan since his retirement, emulating his game, mannerisms, trademark intensity and even hairstyle, trading in his baby afro for a shaved head. One year into his college career, Raiola has taken the same kind of approach with Mahomes, opting for a similar haircut and wearing a headband during games. Before a win last season against Colorado, Raiola generated widespread attention on social media for mimicking Mahomes' pregame routine. Raiola trains with quarterbacks coach Jeff Christensen and trainer Bobby Stroupe, both of whom worked with Mahomes on his rise to NFL stardom. The comparison, of course, has its limits. Beyond their follicle choices, the two don't look all that much alike (Mahomes is mixed, with a white mother and Black father, while Raiola is of Polynesian descent). More glaringly, one of the quarterbacks is a three-time Super Bowl champion and a two-time NFL MVP while the other is a 20 year old who threw 13 touchdowns to 11 interceptions for a team that went 3-6 in the Big Ten last season. The tie between the two is more than superficial, though. Mahomes and Raiola have struck up a relationship, with Raiola noting the two call and text one another. Last year, Mahomes shouted out Raiola on social media, referring to him as 'Lil cuzzo.' In about a month, there will be one more data point between the two — Raiola and Nebraska will open their 2025 season at Arrowhead Stadium against Cincinnati on August 28.

Former UGA QB Carson Beck says 'Georgia will always be family to me'

When former Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck was asked about his time at Georgia during the ACC media days, a smile appeared on his face. Beck appeared gratuitous towards his time at Georgia, despite him transferring to the Miami Hurricanes. At first, he starts with a reflection to the SEC media days in 2024. 'We go back 365 days we were sitting at the SEC media days with all these expectations,' Beck said. 'It's crazy, there's twists and turns you can't foresee." Georgia fans definitely couldn't have predicted the twists and turns that occurred in 2024. About a year ago, he was projected to be one of the best quarterbacks in the count and was among the favorites to win the Heisman and earn the No. 1 overall selection in the 2025 NFL draft. Even through Beck didn't live up to those expectation, he still had a landmark career at Georgia, bringing the Bulldogs to a 24-3 record and winning winning two national championships as a backup. Beck's final game featured one-armed snap and handoff to Trevor Etienne for the game-winning touchdown in the SEC championship against Texas after Beck had suffered a serious elbow injury. Beck still remembers his time with Georgia fondly. 'Georgia will always be family to me, you grind with those guys,' Beck said. 'I came in as an 18-year-old kid, I was a child with no idea of what was ahead. You build relationships that will last a lifetime, you work your tail off." 'I wouldn't be the person or player I am today without Georgia, and I'll always be a Bulldog, I am very appreciative of my time there," Beck said. Beck has several amazing memories of his time at Georgia, but he remembers the Georgia-Georgia Tech matchup as the most emotional one. 'The eight-overtime thriller against Georgia Tech, that will be one I'll remember my entire life,' Beck said. 'I remember after that game I literally fell into Mike Bobo's arms." 'He (Bobo) walked out of the locker room, and I was walking in, and I fell into his arms and I said 'I don't know what just happened, the emotions were insane.'' Now at Miami, Beck has some pressure to live up to how Cam Ward played last season. Ward became a finalist for the Heisman and was selected No. 1 overall in the 2025 NFL draft. Beck is doing a good job of blocking the noise, though. 'I feel like there's pressure in any situation, but do I feel the pressure? I really don't, having played at Georgia and having to follow a two-time national champion,' Beck said. 'That's the most pressure you can have. I think in the SEC, the fan bases are insane, and when you look at Miami's culture, it's going to be something similar." 'I am sure that first game with Notre Dame will be packed out," Beck said. Miami opens in Week 1 against Notre Dame on Aug. 31. For reference, Notre Dame was the team that eliminated Georgia in the 2024 College Football Playoff. Carson Beck was out due to injury in that game, bringing about one of the biggest what ifs in Georgia's recent history.

Big Ten contender's trip against Iowa football at Kinnick Stadium circled as swing game

The Big Ten is a gauntlet no matter who you are, what schedule you get, and how good you may be. The conference is one of the best in America, and quite possibly the deepest as well. Each week demands incredibly high focus and execution. Add in road trips to some of the Big Ten venues, and things get even tougher. Specifically, trips to Kinnick Stadium, the home of the Iowa Hawkeyes, are very tricky. The stadium is intimate, the fans are loud, and Iowa loves to give top teams a scare. This year, Iowa welcomes in a team from the Big Ten, the Indiana Hoosiers, who are trying to prove that their magical College Football Playoff run in 2024 was not an aberration, but a sign of things to come for the program. This pivotal Big Ten matchup has earned the spot from ESPN as Indiana's biggest swing game in 2025. Indiana Hoosiers Swing game: at Iowa, Sept. 27 After what should be a straightforward start to the season with some manageable nonconference matchups, the season ramps up with the Hoosiers first road trip to Iowa. While the Hawkeyes aren't projected to be a surefire Top 25 team this season, playing at Kinnick is never easy. Going into that environment and emerging with a victory could be a tone-setter for Indiana's season in large part because of the game that precedes that matchup and the one that follows it. The conference opener against Illinois a week prior will be a tough first hurdle, while a road trip to Eugene to face Oregon after the Iowa game will be even tougher. Playing that stretch 2-1 instead of 1-2 (or even 0-3!) will be imperative. -- Uggetti Iowa gets the luck of being sandwiched between two other massive games for the Hoosiers, plus the luxury of hosting them. The Hawkeyes will be revved up for this game, as it is one they must win if they want to be in late-season discussions about making a postseason run. The last time Indiana came to Kinnick Stadium, the Hawkeyes feasted in the 2021 season-opener. Iowa welcomed in Indiana and routed them 34-6 in front of a raucous Kinnick crowd. The Hawkeyes lead the all-time series 46-28-4 over the Hoosiers.
