Challenge Cup hero Tom Davies helped Hull KR continue their celebrations by opening the scoring in their 12-try Super League demolition of a Catalans Dragons side that had captain Benjamin Garcia red carded in the first half.Davies snatched a late winner to earn the Robins their first cup win for 45 years just six days earlier, but was quick to break the deadlock at a packed Craven Park that witnessed Catalans slump to a club-record defeat.James Batchelor and Sauaso Sue added to the score before Dragons were momentarily down to 11 men, with Garcia sent off just two minutes after Franck Maria was sin-binned.A second Batchelor score and further tries Kelepi Tanginoa, Jack Broadbent and Mikey Lewis put Hull KR 36-0 up at the break.Sue got a second try of his own before Luke Keary managed to end Catalans' points drought with their first try in four games, but another Lewis score and late Noah Booth, Jai Whitbread and Tyrone May tries ensured the Super League leaders mercilessly moved four points clear at the summit.More to follow.

Brentford stand firm on Bryan Mbeumo price tag with Man Utd edging closer to signing 20-goal star
BRENTFORD are demanding Manchester United cough up £65million for Bryan Mbeumo. The Red Devils saw their second bid of £55m before add-ons of £7.5m knocked back on Friday, but remain confident of striking a deal. 3 United had already seen an opening bid of £45m rejected. Brentford are now holding out for a total package of £65m, meaning there is only a small gap in valuations at this point. As SunSport revealed earlier this month, Mbeumo's preference has always been a move to Old Trafford. That is despite departed Bees boss Thomas Frank wanting to take the Cameroon international to Tottenham. United have already spent £62.5m on Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha, who joined from Wolves as their first signing of a crucial summer. Talks are now continuing between United and Brentford over Mbeumo 's move, a deal which would smash the Bees club record sale. Ivan Toney 's £40m move to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia last summer is the biggest sale in the club's history. Mbeumo's departure will be yet another challenge for new Bees boss Keith Andrews. Mbeumo's goals will be missed next season as he notched 20 times in the Premier League last term. His record put him as one of the most prolific players in the division. Only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland outscored him. The last time a United player reached at least 20 goals in a Premier League campaign was Robin van Persie. The Dutchman scored 26 times to help Sir Alex Ferguson win the 2012/13 in his final season in charge of the club. Mbeumo made the switch to England in 2019 when he joined Brentford from French outfit Troyes. He cost the Bees a then-record transfer fee of £5.8m as he helped the club reach the Premier League in his second season. In total, he has made 242 appearances for the club and scored 70 goals and provided 51 assists in all competitions. Norgaard, meanwhile, also arrived at Brentford in 2019 as he joined from Fiorentina. The 31-year-old has been ever-present in the club's midfield and is one of the most reliable members of the team. The Dane will face an awkward reunion with Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli once he completes the move. Tomos Williams injury leaves Farrell's Lions facing race to fill scrum-half slot
The British & Irish Lions are weighing up their scrum-half options following an injury to Tomos Williams that threatens to sideline the Welshman at the busiest stage of the squad's Australian tour. The head coach, Andy Farrell, said a decision on calling up a replacement would be made on Sunday with Scotland's Ben White among the leading contenders to replace Williams at nine. Williams contributed two tries in a fine all-round performance as the Lions eased to a 54-7 victory over Western Force but tweaked his left hamstring while diving over the line for his second score. It leaves the Lions with only two fit scrum-halves, one of whom – Jamison Gibson-Park – has been managing a strained glute muscle. Farrell says Gibson-Park will be fit to face the Reds on Wednesday but the Lions will need some cover if Williams is ruled out even for a short period, with Alex Mitchell as the only available option in the position. White has just arrived in New Zealand where Scotland are due to kick off their summer tour against the Maori All Blacks next Saturday and could easily hop on a plane to Brisbane if required. For the moment, though, Farrell is still waiting to learn the severity of the injury to Williams, the Premiership's player of the season. 'There was plenty of cramp last week, let's hope it is one of those,' said Farrell. 'He was playing well and I am sure there is a bit of concern there, but you can only deal with the here and now so fingers crossed.' Farrell, however, is adamant that there is no danger of Gibson-Park sitting out the Reds game. 'Jamison is fit and ready to go and has been training fully for the best part of a week. We are happy with that but we will only know [about Williams] in the morning. 'I don't what the timings are of that, with the flights, but you have to let these things settle down and give it a little bit of space. There is always something that is going to happen you are not quite sure about, that is the nature of the tour. We need to make the right call for the group.' Of their opening game in Australia, Farrell declared himself moderately satisfied with the result in the wake of the Lions' defeat to Argentina in Dublin last week. 'I am happy with the scoreline and how we got to that point because it wasn't always going our way. We fixed things up and played some good rugby and scored some nice tries.' Pollock also received a positive post-game review from the Lions captain, Dan Sheehan. 'I thought he was brilliant today. He does his own thing, he plays his own way which is probably different to a lot of the forwards. I enjoy that kind of rugby: off the cuff, see what's in front of you and make it happen. With his skillset and speed he can certainly make it happen. It is just about trying to make sure he is doing the right thing for the team all the time. All these big games are massive for him, massive for all of us. He will just get better and better from here.'
