Tom Holland sends Spider-Man fans into frenzy with new suit

Tom Holland has once again donned the iconic red and blue of Spider-Man as filming begins for the Marvel hero's next blockbuster movie. Marvel fans have been highly-anticipating the big reveal of what the latest edition of the famous Spider-Man suit will look like and now they don't have to wait any longer. Tom took to social media to share a short teaser video of him walking out in the new suit and saying 'we ready?' as his theme tune slowly plays in the background. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tom Holland (@tomholland2013) He captioned the post: 'Are you ready? – 31.7.2026.' The date refers to when 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' is set to release in cinemas next year. Filming began in Glasgow on August 1 and the Scottish streets look unrecognisable after they were transformed to look like the hero's home of New York City. US flags and banners have been draped on the sides of buildings, and realistic but fake items that are commonly seen in Manhattan are lining the streets. A number of US vehicles have been spotted near the Scottish Event Campus, including New York Police Department cars, buses, and food vans. Tom is joined in the film by his real-life partner Zendaya who also featured as 'MJ' in the franchise's three previous instalments that released in 2017, 2019 and 2021. "I knew today was going to be a really hard task and to come out on top, I'm absolutely thrilled. "Sarah was ahead of me, and I was just saying to myself, stay calm, stay strong, and dig deep, and thankfully I ended up winning the title. "It was a pity about the wind, but it was close to a PB and that'll give me great confidence heading into my last race before worlds on the 16th of this month'. "My summer so far, look, it has been mixed," she said. "I missed a good block of training and that's hard to come back from but the support I've had got me through that race today." The 26-year-old confided that she may focus on the 400m relay in the Worlds next month in Tokyo after a long year. "I haven't actually decided," Mawdsley said. "I know I won't say no to the relays, I'm always the first one in, but we'll see about the individual, it has been a tough year. We'll see closer to the time."
