2 white teens arrested for hate-filled group attack on black boy, 16, inside NYC subway station
The 16-year-old boy was walking inside the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue station when a group of nine teens attacked him during a hate-filled robbery around 8 a.m., according to sources and cops.
The crazed white mob chucked a banana at him, called him the N-word and then kicked and punched him before snatching one of his shoes on the mezzanine level inside the station, cops said.
The teen refused medical attention at the scene but later went to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health for head injuries.
The sickening assault was posted on Instagram and briefly went viral before it was taken down, sources said.
Charges against the two teens — a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy — were pending Wednesday night.
The other assailants, believed to be all teenage boys, have yet to be caught.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incident.

Legally, at least. According to 404 Media , James' team of lawyers has sent out cease-and-desist letters to Flick Up, the company behind an AI tool and Discord community that allowed people to create random AI-generated videos of NBA stars. Of course, given too much freedom, some NBA fans took it too far with deepfake content that featured James and even Steph Curry in unusual predicaments involving Diddy. 'These included videos where an AI-generated James stood by as an AI-generated Diddy sexually assaulted Steph Curry in prison, videos of James imagined as a homeless person, videos of James on his knees with his tongue out, and videos of James pregnant,' writes 404 Media . Then a change came to the platform in June when the Discord community's moderators stopped using realistic people as models because they wanted to avoid any further complications with a 'highly valued basketball player.' Now, weeks later, Flick Up Founder Jason Stacks confirmed with 404 Media that the player was indeed LeBron James, and on his behalf, law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks sent him a request to quit it. 'The letter came from Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks on behalf of LeBron James, and we took it seriously,' Stacks said. 'We removed the models immediately and have since updated our approach to likeness and public figure policies. That's really the full story on our end.' In a video posted to Instagram, Stacks revealed the moment he received the letter, admitting he was 'so f-cked.' He continued, explaining that he didn't know the video would become so popular and that posting it on YouTube led to it gaining more attention than he ever imagined. 'Two months ago, I launched the YouTube of AI video. It was a fun idea to help creators make some more money,' he said in the video. 'But then people started noticing. Like, really noticing. NYC-issued debit cards meant to pay participants working in a summer youth program were instead used by scammers who nabbed $17 million over a three-day period earlier this month, sources told The Post. The scam — the subject of an ongoing fraud probe — led to ATMs across the Big Apple being banged for big bucks from July 11 to July 13, with the cash ending up in the wrong hands rather than kids and young adults in the Summer Youth Employment Program, officials said. The payment cards are supposed to give access to weekly earnings, typically several hundred bucks at most. However, an error allowed the cards to access massive payments of up $40,000 per ATM. Participants with bank accounts get paid via direct deposit, but since 2003 those without received payment cards that can be used at ATMs to get their weekly earnings. About 30,000 were set up to be paid by card this year, The Times reported.

ICE holding Tunisian man without proper medical help in downtown L.A., family says
A Tunisian man is enduring 'inhumane conditions' inside the Federal Building in downtown Los Angeles after U.S. immigration authorities arrested him this month, his family says. Rami Othmane was held July 13 while driving to the grocery store. His wife, Dr. Wafaa Alrashid, said agents blocked Othmane's car and did not identify themselves or present a warrant before detaining him. Alrashid, chief of medical staff at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, was on FaceTime with her husband during the incident. The couple married on March 5, 2024, and filed an I-130 petition last month to qualify their relationship status to obtain Orthmane's green card. Alrashid said Othmane, whose Instagram account says he is a singer and music producer, was in the country legally, adding that he suffers from chronic pain and an untreated tumor. Since his arrest, Othmane has been kept in the Federal Building — sleeping on a cold floor with no bedding, hygiene supplies or privacy, his wife said. 'This is not just an immigration issue — this is a human rights crisis,' Alrashid said in a statement. 'My husband has been subjected to 12 days of inhumane treatment in a federal building. He is not a criminal. He is a kind, peaceful man with an open immigration petition.' Alrashid said in a post to Instagram that the conditions are not livable, adding detainees are fed at random times and are expected to share an open toilet. On Friday, the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, an advocacy group based in Pasadena, organized a protest vigil outside the federal detention facility in downtown L.A., known as B-18, to demand Othmane's release. 'Like all immigrants — like all human beings — he deserves to be treated with decency and respect and to receive due process of the law. It appears that these basic rights are being cruelly denied him,' the organization said in a statement Friday. 'We demand an end to the lawless campaign of raids and arrests that has led to gross injustices like the imprisonment of our friend Rami, and so many others.'
