It is a love story for the ages, and it all began on The Love Boat.
When Princess Cruises events and guest services supervisor Louie Engelbrecht looks back on all the weddings he has organised, which averaged around three a day on Royal Princess during the last Australian summer season, one truly stands out.

'My most unforgettable wedding was for a couple in their 70s. They had met aboard the original Love Boat many years ago and then by chance met again on another Princess ship,' Engelbrecht says. Cue the theme song from the popular 1980s TV show where special guest stars from Andy Warhol to Betty White found romance on the high seas under the navigation of Captain Merrill Stubing.
'This couple had never forgotten each other so their meeting by chance was very special, (then) they were engaged aboard Royal Princess during her 2023-24 summer season and then decided to marry on Royal Princess last summer season 2024-25.'
Engelbrecht says that wedding day was pure magic, a ceremony filled with romance. 'When she walked down the aisle, the groom's eyes sparkled with a love so genuine, as if it was the very first moment they saw each other more than 50 years ago. There were no dry eyes in the house,' he says.

Forget expensive wedding venues and catering, a wedding at sea could be the perfect way to tie the knot. And it's a destination wedding with a difference – all the guests celebrate with you on your honeymoon.
Engelbrecht says the Princess team organise it all, from sunset ceremonies to parties. And unlike land weddings when venues sometimes need to be secured years ahead, there is no such planning needed at sea.
'I would recommend planning your wedding with Princess at least two months in advance,' says Engelbrecht.
'The process begins simply by filling out a form online with your preferences for flowers, cake, music, and vows and upon boarding, you will be greeted by your dedicated wedding co-ordinator, who will guide you through every step of your planned event.'
Around three couples a day got married on Royal Princess during the last Australian summer season.
Princess Perfect Weddings offer legal or symbolic ceremonies on sea days, officiated by the captain. Planning for a wedding on-board is done via a wedding portal, allowing guests to hold a date while customising, and there are bespoke packages available. For example, the Timeless Ceremony at Sea for a couple plus eight guests includes the ceremony, flowers, a cake, chocolate-covered strawberries, a toast, photography including a digital USB and prints, a romantic breakfast, premium stateroom gifts, and a certificate. The price? From $US3995.
Engelbrecht says vow-renewal ceremonies are also popular.
'One highlight over the recent summer season in Sydney was our Valentine's Day mass vow renewal on the Pacific Ocean between New Zealand and Australia where several couples renewed their vows with the captain and our crew,' he says. 'It was very special for all involved –we are the Love Boat, after all.'

Keeley Hawes' complicated assassin is a bit hit (and miss) in manic thriller

The Assassin ★★★ Superficially at least, The Assassin has a lot in common with The Day of the Jackal. A professional killer attempting to juggle domestic life with the nuts and bolts of blood and guts. A secret past that threatens to catch up with our antihero. A vow to quit the old life, but a past that keeps dragging them back in. Tonally, though, The Assassin is a very different beast. Created by English brothers Harry and Jack Williams, it has much more in common with their Australian-set The Tourist. It is manic, improbable, full of coincidences and overlapping character arcs and plot lines. It strives to marry comedy, action and drama, and gets the balance right some of the time, but not always. At the heart of everything is Keeley Hawes as Julie, a would-be retired assassin. We first meet her sprawled out on a deckchair on a beach in Greece, an empty whisky bottle in her lap. Is she having too much fun, or simply trying to drown her sorrows? Turns out, a bit of both. Actually, we first meet her in a prologue set 31 years earlier, in which a masked assassin storms a stronghold (presumably drug dealers, or some other undefined bad guys), defies the odds and takes out everyone, and leaves behind a pile of money that has been offered as an attempted bribe in exchange for sparing the chief baddie's life. The assassin declines on both fronts. Loading Only at the end of the sequence does the balaclava come off, to reveal said assassin is a woman, just as the timer on her wristwatch goes off. She pulls a pregnancy test from her pocket. It's positive. 'F---.' As character sketches go, it's remarkably to the point. Julie is all-action, tough, oddly moral, and a reluctant parent. If only the rest of the show were as efficient. The latter-day Julie is soon joined by her son Edward (Freddie Highmore, from The Good Doctor), a journalist, a vegan, as softly spoken and diffident as she is forthright, fierce and fearless.

Coldplay CEO's ‘daughter' responds to scandal

Don't miss out on the headlines from Real Life. Followed categories will be added to My News. A social media account claiming to be the daughter of Astronomer's ex-CEO Andy Bryon, who was caught on the Coldplay kiss-cam allegedly cheating, went viral over the weekend, pulling in millions of views before the truth emerged. The account, calling itself ThatMarinagirll, launched just a day after the Bryon scandal hit headlines, claiming to be Marina Byron, the supposedly 23-year-old daughter dealing with her dad's very public affair. It already has nearly 200k followers. In her first clip, warming herself next to an open fire, Marina said she was 'reconnecting with life after your dad's affair makes national news'. That video alone amassed 36 million views in a few days. What followed was a steady stream of self-aware, tongue-in-cheek content, including mentions of family group chats and poking fun at rich-kid stereotypes. One video responded to a comment that read: 'I don't feel bad for rich people,' while Marina ran around on the deck of a private yacht looking carefree. A woman has claimed to be the daughter of Andy Bryon, the ex-CEO at the centre of the Coldplay kiss-cam scandal. Picture: TikTok/thatmarinagirll Others showed screenshots of text exchanges between her and her friends, where they discussed the news. 'I thought it was your dad's doppelganger,' one of the friends says. Marina replies: 'I saw it early this morning … Lord help us'. In another, Marina claims to be texting her mum, who is allegedly processing the news by doing breathwork and manifestation. By the fourth video, the account was promoting a company called Triips, a discount travel website. 'Thanks for the $35 flight, I'm basically healed,' the caption read. She made several videos over the weekend claiming to be dealing with her father's alleged affair. Picture: TikTok/thatmarinagirll The videos were flooded with comments, split into three clear groups. Some offered sympathy, others criticised her for 'capitalising' on her dad's cheating scandal, and some simply didn't believe any of it was real. 'This is honestly iconic. Making lemonade out of lemons,' said one. 'I'm so sorry that happened to you, your mum and family. Infidelity is traumatising for the whole family,' another commented. 'I hope you are healing in any way you can from all of this,' said a third. The account amassed nearly 200k followers in just a few days. Picture: TikTok/thatmarinagirll But not everyone was buying it. 'Trying to go viral off your dad's affair is absolutely insane,' one blunt comment read. 'Wow, imagine using your dad's affair to get famous,' said someone else. Then, scepticism began to surface. 'She isn't his child, y'all,' claimed one. 'It's giving ad,' wrote another. 'Impostor check,' added a third. One account, LizTheMillennial, even created a video claiming the account was fake and that the profile was banning any comments that attempted to share the truth. But people quickly began to grow sceptical of the account. Picture: TikTok/LizTheMillennial So, does Andy Bryon have a daughter? According to public records, Andy Bryon doesn't have a daughter. Bryon and his wife Megan Kerrigan have two sons. There's no mention of a daughter named Marina Bryon. Up until the cheating scandal went viral, Kerrigan was posting happy family photos on Facebook, including their two sons. It appears that the CEO doesn't actually have a daughter, just two sons. Picture: Facebook/MeganKerrigan Bryon's wife, Megan Kerrigan posted happy snaps of the family of four to Facebook, before the alleged affair went public. Facebook/MeganKerrigan Meanwhile, Elon Musk's xAI's bot Grok also fact-checked the claims on social media. 'Based on extensive review … there is no credible evidence of anyone named Marina being Andy Byron's daughter. Confirmed: He and his wife have two sons only. This claim seems baseless or mistaken,' Grok wrote on X. Kerrigan hasn't made any formal comment about the scandal, but reportedly removed her married name from her Facebook last week and has since deleted her account. No one in the family has publicly commented on the incident. Picture: Supplied Adding yet another twist, the videos on the Marina Bryon account were allegedly taken from the social media of a French model and singer-songwriter, Julie Tuzet. Tuzet came forward over the weekend to clear her name. 'Guys, I am not the CEO's daughter. You probably saw this video of me at a fireplace reconnecting with nature. It's just someone who stole my videos and content from TikTok to create this fake news, and it's going viral,' she said in her own TikTok. The real woman in the video made a TikTok claiming the account was impersonating her, and she wasn't the CEO's daughter. Picture: TikTok/julietuzet She is a model and singer-songwriter and says her videos often get stolen online. Picture: TikTok/julietuzet 'Please help me report that person because she blocked me, so I can't report it. I also can't comment anything because she is checking each comment so they don't tag my real account. 'But stay safe, don't believe everything you see on the internet, and help me spread this news because it's wild.' Once the alleged hoax was revealed, many viewers admitted to falling for it. 'Damn, I fell for it, thanks for the truth,' said one comment. 'Makes you really sit down and think what else is fake,' another mused. Another said they felt like they 'got played'. has reached out to ThatMarinaGirll, Julie Tuzet and Triips for comment. Originally published as Coldplay CEO's 'daughter' responds to scandal
