Despite the group's upcoming disbandment, Purple Kiss will continue with their scheduled activities, including the release of an English-language album at the end of August, followed by promotions in Japan, a US. tour, and a final concert in South Korea. These events will serve as a farewell to their dedicated fandom, PLORY.
RBW stated, 'Because of the members' deep affection for the group, we engaged in long and thoughtful discussions about how to move forward. As a result, we reached a conclusion based on mutual respect and support for each member's individual dreams.'
A heartfelt goodbye to PLORY
In their announcement, RBW thanked the group's six members for their passion and dedication through both their early, uncertain days and their growth into seasoned performers. The agency also extended heartfelt appreciation to PLORY, the fans who have stood by the group since the beginning.
'Every moment shone brightly because of the members who gave their all with passion and PLORY, who have always stood steadfastly by their side,' the statement read.
Purple Kiss leaves behind a legacy of distinctive music and bold performances, having carved out their own niche in the ever-competitive K-pop landscape with hits like 'Ponzona,' 'Zombie,' and 'Sweet Juice.' While the group's chapter may be coming to a close, the members are expected to pursue solo endeavors in the future. For now, fans can look forward to a series of final promotions that will celebrate PURPLE KISS's journey and say a proper goodbye.

Actor Shanavas, son of Malayalam cinema's all-time greatest superstar Prem Nazir, passes away
Malayalam actor Shanavas, the son of one of Indian cinema's earliest and most popular superstars, Prem Nazir, has passed away at the age of 71. He had been undergoing treatment for kidney and heart-related ailments for many years. Shanavas breathed his last at a private hospital in the state capital of Thiruvananthapuram, late on Monday evening. Born in Thiruvananthapuram as the son of Prem Nazir and his wife Habeeba Beevi, Shanavas obtained a master's degree in English literature from The New College, Chennai, before venturing into cinema. Subsequently, he made his debut in filmmaker Balachandra Menon's Prema Geethangal (1981). Although this was Nazir's final decade in cinema, after having reigned over the industry for 30 years, he was highly active at the time Shanavas made his debut. Despite the emergence of many new talents in Malayalam cinema during this period, Nazir's position remained unshaken in the hearts of film lovers, which indirectly helped Shanavas gain attention. In the subsequent years, Shanavas worked in movies headlined by legends such as his father Prem Nazir, 'Hitmaker' Sasikumar, MG Soman, Sreekumaran Thampi, Ambareesh, Srividya, Sukumaran, Madhu, Silk Smitha, Joshiy and T Damodaran. Following 1991, Shanavas took a long hiatus that lasted over two decades. He later made a comeback in the early 2010s, and appeared in movies like China Town, Oridathoru Postman and Kanyakumari Express, headlined by stars like Mohanlal, Jayaram, Dileep, Suresh Gopi, Kunchacko Boban and R Sarathkumar. Shanavas was last seen in director Dijo Jose Antony's Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu-starrer Jana Gana Mana (2022). Besides movies, he also worked in several television serials like Shankhumukham, Velutha Kathreena, Kadamatathu Kathanar and Sathyameva Jayathe. Shanavas is survived by his wife Ayesha Abdul Aziz, sons Ajith Khan and Shameer Khan, and daughter-in-law Hana, OnManorama reported. His funeral will be held at the Palayam Muslim Jamaath Cemetery on Tuesday evening.

Last Updated: Zakir Khan once met band members of BTS in Korea — but didn't know who they were. Imagine being in a room with one of the biggest music groups in the world — and not recognising them. That's exactly what happened to Indian comedian Zakir Khan, who unknowingly spent time with the members of BTS during a visit to South Korea. Sharing the hilarious story in a recent chat with The Lallantop, Zakir said he had travelled to Korea for an event where a top celebrity was scheduled to appear. Coincidentally, the global K‑pop group BTS was also there to meet the same celebrity. But Zakir, who admits he tends to overthink things, didn't quite put the pieces together. 'I happened to go to Korea once, and there is a very famous band there by the name of BTS. I knew there is a band called BTS and I also know that they are famous. And by chance I went there for an event to interview a very big celebrity and the band was also there to meet the same person," he said. Because he arrived late, Zakir was grouped with the BTS members in the final entry batch. 'So I asked one of the members, 'Who are you and where are you from', and he told me they are from BTS. I thought that the Korean organising team has called for a behind-the-scenes team," he added. He remained blissfully unaware until later. 'I was totally unaware of the fact that they are famous people. Later, when I told people that for 35 minutes I was in the same room as them, they fainted." BTS is a seven-member South Korean boy band made up of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. Known for their chart-topping hits, high-energy performances, and massive global fanbase (called ARMY), they became one of the most influential music acts in the world. After taking a break for mandatory military service, all seven members have now completed their enlistment and returned to the spotlight with solo music, live shows, and fan interactions.
