Supercross 2025 results: 250 highlights, finishing order, reaction at Philadelphia, Cole Davies wins again
Cole Davies benefited from a red flag for a crash involving teammate Daxton Bennick at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He got a great jump on the restart and rode to his second career 250 victory only one round after scoring his first in Seattle.
Davies grabbed the lead on Lap 6 after passing Seth Hammaker and holeshot winner RJ Hampshire, while another of Davies' teammates, Haiden Deegan, took a little longer to get around those riders. That allowed Davies to develop a gap that Deegan could not close despite superior speed in the final laps. Davies is only the second rider this season to achieve multiple wins, joining Deegan in that honor.
Deegan briefly fell outside the top three on the restart before climbing to third on Lap 7 and second on Lap 11. He's creating a reputation as a rider capable of coming through the pack, but poor starts create more drama for the teenager than he would prefer. In the post-race news conference, Deegan admitted to paying close attention to protecting his championship lead, and that caused him to back down his aggression slightly.

Hampshire was the highest-finishing rider from the Eastern division, and his third-place finish allowed him to secure a piece of the championship lead. Hampshire was the biggest beneficiary of the timing of the red flag because he fell in the opening lap of the initial start and dropped to the back. Had the red flag waved after three minutes of riding, AMA (American Motorcycle Association) rules would have called for a single-file restart. Instead, he got a second chance to get out of the gates strong and won the holeshot.
Hammaker earned the holeshot at the initial start, but the red flag wiped it away. His second start wasn't terrible, but Hammaker could not assume the lead again and watched as other riders secured the more lucrative top three positions. Hammaker entered the round tied with Tom Vialle for the points lead and left Philadelphia tied with Hampshire. The battle for the 250 East title continues to be close.
Philadelphia 450 Results
Jo Shimoda rounded out the top five after passing Vialle with two laps remaining. After getting such a great start in the season opener in Anaheim, California, with the win, he has hovered around the top five with results of fourth through seventh in six of his next seven starts.
Vialle's Philadelphia race could have been disastrous, especially after he failed to earn points in the mud in Foxborough. He crashed in his heat and had to qualify for the main by running the Last Chance Qualifier. A poor gate pick caused him to get pinched into a Tuff Blox during the first start of the feature. Vialle salvaged all he could and is now two points behind Hampshire and Hammaker.

Prayers Pouring In After Motocross Star Dies At 16
Prayers Pouring In After Motocross Star Dies At 16 originally appeared on The Spun. Prayers are pouring in after a motocross star died in an accident at 16 years old this weekend. Aidan Zingg, a 16-year-old racer from California, died in a race on Saturday, June 28. MX Sports confirmed the tragic news over the weekend. The amateur motocross community suffered a devastating loss this past weekend on Saturday, June 28, and the entire MX Sports racing family is extremely saddened by the loss of Aidan Zingg, age 16, from Hemet, California. Recently, Aidan had qualified for his seventh-straight year to compete in the most prestigious amateur motocross event in the world, the AMA Amateur Motocross National Championship, held at Loretta Lynn's Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Aidan first competed at The Ranch in 2019, and every year since then. In 2024 Aidan earned his first-ever AMA National Championship in the Supermini 2 (13-16) class and earned second in the Supermini 1 (12-15) class. Aidan, who has been known for his determination and outstanding talent, had just signed with Team Green Kawasaki for the 2025 racing season and was set to make a major impact as he made the move to the 'B' classes and Schoolboy 2 class at Loretta's. Tributes for Zingg are pouring in on social media over the weekend. "This sport can be so cruel sometimes… My heart is broken for the Zingg family upon hearing such awful news. I've known Aidan since he was on 50s. He was a young man with a lot of talent and dedication. My prayers go out to your family. Too young, too soon. 2009-2025 🕊️," one fan wrote. "Our deepest condolences go out to the Zingg family following the tragic loss of Aidan Zingg, a talented young Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Green amateur prospect. Godspeed, Aidan Zingg | 2009–2025 🙏," one fan added. "Honestly at a loss for words hearing about Aidan Zingg passing today. It took me out of it here at Southwick as soon as I heard and I still just can't believe it. My heart hurts for his family and friends. The moto community lost a genuinely good kid. May he rest in peace 🙏," one fan added. Our thoughts are with his friends and family members during this difficult time. Hose pummels Hampshire with astonishing 266
Rothesay County Championship Division One, Utilita Bowl, Southampton (day one) Worcestershire 456-3: Hose 266, Libby 137*; Fuller 2-87 Hampshire: Yet to bat Hampshire 1 pt, Worcestershire 5 pts Match scorecard Advertisement Adam Hose provided retribution to Hampshire for discarding him as a youngster by scoring 266 - the highest ever score by a visiting player at Utilita Bowl. Top-order batter Hose played for Hampshire at Under-13 to Under-17 levels, having been born and raised on the Isle of Wight, but never progressed into the professional ranks. He returned with an epic second County Championship hundred during a mammoth 395-run third-wicket stand with stand-in captain Jake Libby. Libby knocked up 137 unbeaten runs of his own on a lifeless wicket as Worcestershire ended day one on 456-3. They came into the match with the fewest batting bonus points, three, had only passed 300 on three previous occasions and only two centuries had been made by their batters. Advertisement By the end of the day, they had five more batting points, two more centuries, and well over 100 runs more than they had managed in two innings against defending champions Surrey last week. Libby, once again leading in place of the injured Brett D'Oliveira, couldn't wait to strap his pads on having won the toss. Despite some morning overheads, the air was warm, the pitch looked flat, and the Kookaburra ball was expected to offer next to no assistance to the bowlers. New Zealander Henry Nicholls was tested outside his off-stump throughout his runless 12-ball cameo, before chasing a wide James Fuller delivery to edge behind. Advertisement Kashif Ali was punchy in his 44 off 38 balls, and particularly tucked into Scott Currie, before he was lbw stumbling over a straight delivery from Fuller. At 60-2, things felt even, but from then, and for the next five and a half hours, it was anything but. The sunbathing crowd – including a gathering of past Hampshire players including Barry Richards and their oldest living cricketer, Dennis Baldry – had just Libby's stoicism and Hose's perpetual run scoring to watch. Once Hose found his rhythm, he bypassed each one of Hampshire's plans with gusto. Other than an incredibly tricky short leg chance on 69, he raced through the milestones. 50 in 74 balls, 100 in 126, 150 in 178, 200 in 208 and 250 in 240. Advertisement The more runs he got, the harder and further he hit the ball – one of his seven sixes causing injury to a spectator some 10 rows back at long on. Hose was eventually dismissed on 266 - scuffing the ball to gully to give debutant Dom Kelly his first Championship wicket - in the penultimate over of the day. His score surpassed the 243 made by Phil Jaques for Yorkshire on this ground in 2004, and was just one fewer than Zak Crawley's marathon for England and John Crawley and Michael Carberry's triple-centuries in scores by anyone at the Bowl. Hose did play one first-team match for Hampshire, a non-first-class three-day game against Cardiff MCCU - ironically, one of his opponents in that fixture was Libby. Advertisement With him on this occasion, runs flowed like a tap. Libby isn't one for showy shots, at his best he occupies the crease – he has the second longest County Championship innings by minutes to his name to demonstrate his stickability. He offered the Hampshire bowlers even less hope than Hose, scoring at his own pace to reach his second ton of the campaign in 219 deliveries. ECB Reporters' Network supported by Rothesay
