Tennessee Titans' Cam Ward, 'We gotta be ready to play from day 1'
Throughout the offseason and now continuing into training camp, it has become clear that Cam Ward is the future of the Tennessee Titans. Known for his leadership qualities and work ethic on top of his athletic prowess, Ward has been everything and more than what the Tennessee Titans expected when they selected him with the first overall pick in April. Ward has come into Nashville and won over both the locker room and the organization with his infectious attitude. This isn't just coming from the local media or those that cover the Titans on a daily basis; it has become clear to national NFL insiders as well, with the latest being Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network. As Jeremiah points out, Ward gets into the facility early, before the coaching staff. While this isn't anything new, as it was reported back in June during minicamp, some new details on how this film will work did come out during an interview with Ward for the network. Ward is not alone in his extra work at 5:30. He is usually joined by a group of receivers led by Calvin Ridley, which includes Chimere Dike, Elic Ayomanor, and Xavier Restrepo, in an attempt to play his best football and have the offense on track early in the season. With Ward and his group of young receivers putting in the extra work, it is easy to see why they have been one of the more exciting units to watch early in training camp. The interview also highlights the increased leadership role Ridley is assuming this offseason, a trend that has been emerging more frequently during player interviews. That dedication bodes well for the Titans' offense, which is looking to surprise teams in 2025. Four LSU football players make Phil Steele's First-Team All-SEC squad
LSU football boasts one of the most talented rosters in college football, which is reflected in Phil Steele's All-SEC predictions. Steele, the author of Phil Steele's College Football 25 Preview, included four Tigers on his First-Team All-SEC roster. On offense, Garrett Nussmeier headlines the group with Steele giving Nussmeier the nod over Arch Manning and LaNorris Sellers. Nussmeier was joined by one of his top pass catchers -- dynamic slot wide receiver Aaron Anderson. Anderson, a former five-star, was LSU's leading wide receiver in 2024, catching 61 passes for 884 yards. Of LSU's five leading receivers from 2024, Anderson is the only returnee. That sets the redshirt junior up for a big year. On defense, linebacker Whit Weeks makes the cut. Weeks isn't just garnering All-SEC hype -- he's seen as a strong All-American candidate. Steele gave LSU its flowers on special teams with kick returner Barion Brown earning First-Team Honors, too. Brown is expected to be one of LSU's top difference-makers on offense, but he's dangerous on special teams. At Kentucky, Brown returned five kicks for touchdowns.

Top LSU football recruiting target reveals decision date. Will LSU land the five-star?
One of LSU football's top recruiting targets revealed a decision date. Darius Gray, a five-star offensive lineman, will commit on August 22. Gray's five finalists are LSU, Tennessee, Ohio State, Clemson, and South Carolina. LSU and South Carolina are considered the front-runners for Gray's services. According to the Rivals' Prediction Machine, LSU is the favorite with a 51.1% chance to land Gray. South Carolina is No. 2 with a 32.5% shot at Gray. Per the Rivals' Industry Rankings, Gray is a five-star and the No. 1-ranked interior offensive lineman in the class of 2026. 247Sports is the highest on Gray, slotting the Virginia product as the No. 16 overall recruit. ESPN isn't quite as high on Gray, placing him No. 73 overall. LSU and offensive line coach Brad Davis have already secured four offensive line commitments in the class of 2026. Gray would be the fifth and the highest-ranked of the bunch. The top-ranked offensive lineman already in the fold is four-star tackle Brysten Martinez, the No. 9-ranked tackle in the class. LSU is contending for the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in 2026. The Tigers' class is loaded at the top, but Brian Kelly and staff are still looking to add volume. Landing Gray would keep LSU in the race for the top class.
