TO say it's been a year of ups and downs for Inverness Caledonian Thistle would be an understatement to say the least.
But after surviving the drop against all odds and now preparing to exit administration, the club is looking to rebuild for the future.

Scott Kellacher - who recently featured on our One-on-One series - was appointed manager in October after previous boss Duncan Ferguson left the club as they were unable to pay him and his players.
At that point it looked as though Caley Thistle were doomed.
They had been slapped with a 15-point deduction for entering administration and the financial outlook was grim, with club chiefs having knocked back a £1.2m bid to save them.
As recent as March the club was at serious risk of going under as there were no serious offers to take them out of the doldrums.
The economic issues meant they faced losing up to three-quarters of their playing squad.
But last month a deal was agreed that would see them EXIT administration and a few weeks later they officially beat the drop thanks to a 3-0 win over eventual League One champions Arbroath.
Inverness aren't completely out of the mire yet but the future looks much brighter now - and they have started planning for next season.
Kellacher will aim to build on this season's seventh-placed finish and 11 players have been handed new contracts ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Four stars remain locked in talks over extending their deals and a further three youth players have signed their first pro contracts.
One player has been released and six loanees have returned to their parent clubs.

A statement from the club read: "Inverness Caledonian Thistle can now give the following squad update following the end of season 2024/25.
"The club are pleased to confirm 11 players in total have agreed new contracts and three players from the ICTFC Academy have agreed their first professional contracts.
"A full statement regarding the Academy players who have agreed their first professional contracts with the club will be released in due course.
"The club can also confirm that striker Ethan Cairns will be released upon expiry of his current contract. Ethan had been with the club since he was 9 years-old and signed for the club full-time in 2021. In total Ethan made 22 appearances for ICTFC and scored once. Everyone at ICTFC would like to thank Ethan for his contributions while at the club and wish him the very best in the future.
"Six loan players have returned to their parent clubs: Alfie Bavidge, Ben Brannan, Keith Bray, Connall Ewan, James Nolan and Alfie Stewart. We'd like to thank all the players for their contributions at Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC and we wish them the very best in the future.
"The club would also like to place on record our thanks to Aberdeen FC, Dunfermline Athletic FC, Kilmarnock FC, Manchester United FC and Ross County FC for their assistance with loan players in 2024/25."

League One Alloa handed Premier Sports Cup second-round trip to Rangers

League One side Alloa have been handed a Premier Sports Cup second-round trip to Rangers following Sunday's draw. The Wasps – the lowest-ranked team remaining in the tournament – were surprise winners of their group and will face Russell Martin's Gers at Ibrox on the weekend of August 16/17. Holders Celtic will host newly-promoted Falkirk in one of four all-Premiership ties. The others see Kilmarnock host Dundee United, Livingston at home to Hibernian, and St Mirren play Hearts in Paisley. St Johnstone, relegated from the top flight last term, will host Motherwell while Aberdeen have been drawn away to Championship side Morton. There is guaranteed to be at least one second-tier side in the last eight after Championship pair Partick Thistle and Ayr United were pitted together. St Mirren and Ayr became the last two sides to secure their second-round places on Sunday when Killian Phillips' first-half double set the Paisley men on course for a 2-1 home victory over the Honest Men in Group D. While the Buddies topped the section, Scott Brown's side also progressed as one of the three best runners-up despite losing their perfect record in the competition against their William Hill Premiership hosts. Dunfermline had been waiting in the wings hoping to profit from any Saints slip-up or an unlikely nine-goal defeat for Ayr, but their hopes of progressing were dashed by events in Paisley. The Buddies went ahead after Phillips fired home Roland Idowu's cutback from 15 yards out in the 16th minute, and the recently-capped Republic of Ireland midfielder doubled his tally in the 38th minute when he turned home another Idowu delivery from just outside the six-yard box. Ayr pulled one back in the 64th minute when Kevin Holt headed home Dom Thomas' corner to ensure a nervy finale for the hosts. Dundee – eliminated after losing their opening two fixtures – were the only top-flight side to fail to make it through the group stage. Killian Phillips at double as St Mirren advance in cup with win over Ayr

Killian Phillips' first-half double set St Mirren on course for a 2-1 home victory over William Hill Championship side Ayr United as they booked their place in the second round of the Premier Sports Cup as Group D winners. Scott Brown's Honest Men also progressed as one of the three best runners-up despite losing their perfect record in the competition against their William Hill Premiership hosts. Dunfermline were waiting in the wings hoping to profit from any Saints slip-up or an unlikely nine-goal defeat for Ayr, but Neil Lennon's side are now out of the competition. St Mirren and Ayr join top-flight contingent Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen, Hibernian, Dundee United, Hearts, Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Livingston and Falkirk plus Championship trio Partick Thistle, St Johnstone and Morton and League One outfit Alloa in the last 16. Dundee – eliminated after losing their opening two fixtures – were the only top-flight side to fail to make it through the group stage. St Mirren, who gave a debut to on-loan Wycombe keeper Shamal George, knew they needed some kind of positive result to ensure they did not follow the Dee in crashing out at the first hurdle. A win would secure top spot in the group while a penalty shootout victory following a draw would have been enough to take Stephen Robinson's side through as one of the best runners-up. Any tension in the Buddies camp was eased in the 16th minute when they went ahead after Phillips fired home Roland Idowu's cutback from 15 yards out. The recently-capped Republic of Ireland midfielder doubled his tally in the 38th minute when he turned home another Idowu delivery from just outside the six-yard box. Ayr pulled one back in the 64th minute when Kevin Holt headed home Dom Thomas' corner to ensure a nervy finale for the hosts, but in the end both sides made it into the last 16. Millwall in transfer talks to sign Luton Town star Alfie Doughty in latest move

EXCLUSIVE: Millwall are looking to bolster their attacking options with a deal for Alfie Doughty, who could leave Luton Town as they gear up for their League One opener Millwall are in talks with Luton Town in a bid to try and strike a deal for Alfie Doughty. ‌ The 25-year-old left wing-back was one of Luton's star performers in the Premier League before the Hatters suffered consecutive relegations and has been the subject of transfer interest this summer with the club now preparing for life in League One. ‌ And Mirror Football understands that Millwall have made a play to try and sign Doughty ahead of Luton's season opener next Friday. ‌ The Lions are admirers of Doughty and would deploy him in a more advanced role in their attack rather than at left-back, where they are currently well stocked. Landing a player of Doughty's quality would be another statement of intent from Millwall, who broke their transfer record to sign Josh Coburn from Middlesbrough earlier this summer. A return to the Championship would appeal to Doughty, who was also linked with a move last summer before staying put at Kenilworth Road. The player was pulled from the starting XI shortly before kick-off in Luton's pre-season friendly against Tottenham on Saturday. Matt Bloomfield revealed after the game that transfer speculation was behind Doughty's absence. 'Listen, Alfie has had interest all through the summer because he's a player who played at a very good level,' the Hatters boss said, via Luton Today. ‌ 'In the Premier League he had a very good season and last year he showed some real top moments, so he has had some interest, Alfie, and I'm sure that will go on for the rest of the window. 'It was the right decision I made before the game, post team sheets, was that he wouldn't play, so that was the way the game went. I just said in the other room, there's a lot going on in pre-season. 'It's very rare, I think, that both teams change their left full-backs between team sheets and kick-off, which happened today, so it was the right decision for Alfie not to play but I'm sure he'll be absolutely fine and we'll welcome him back into the group as soon as we can, but he'll be fine.'
