Connor Perreault, 36, of New Haven, was charged with criminal mischief in the second degree. Perreault was also an employee at Gateway Community College, police said.

Two motorcycle riders killed in crash with Tesla in Santa Cruz Mountains
A man and a woman riding a motorcycle were killed in a head-on crash with a Tesla on Saturday afternoon on a winding highway in the Santa Cruz Mountains, authorities said. The collision, which involved a southbound 2008 Harley Davidson and a northbound 2008 Tesla Model 3, occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Highway 9, south of Highway 35. The head-on impact threw both motorcycle riders onto the road, the California Highway Patrol said. The riders, a 61-year-old man and a 59-year-old woman, died at the scene, the CHP said. They were identified as Hayward residents, but their names were withheld. The Tesla driver, an 18-year-old San Jose woman, was not injured, the CHP said. Investigators have not determined whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, the CHP said.

To that end, they will host a Catalytic Converter Theft Prevention Event from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 at Take 5 Oil, 1341 N. Zaragoza. The event will offer vehicle owners free VIN etching services. El Paso has reported more than 800 catalytic converter thefts during the past three years, El Paso Police said. To help deter these crimes, the El Paso Police Department is providing free vehicle identification number (VIN) etching on catalytic converters. This process involves permanently marking the vehicle's VIN onto the converter, making it more difficult for thieves to sell the stolen part without proof of ownership, police said. Tesla passes several vehicles on Door County highway before crash, killing 1 and injuring 4
DOOR COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A 71-year-old passenger of a Tesla truck was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash Friday night on State Highway 42 in Door County that also left four people hospitalized. Deputies with the Door County Sheriff's Office say they were notified of a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 42 around 9:55 p.m. on July 25.
