Disgraced radio star Marty Sheargold's replacement revealed as NRL great Nathan Hindmarsh
Sheargold sparked outrage when he made derogatory remarks about the Matildas and women's sport in general back in February
He claimed on his Triple M radio show (which aired nationally from 3-4pm and then into NSW and QLD for an additional two hours until 6pm) that the professional football team reminded him of 'year 10 girls' and he said he would 'rather hammer a nail' through his penis than watch women's sport.

In the wake of his departure, Sheargold's 4-6pm Rush Hour show for NSW listeners will now be hosted by NRL great Nathan Hindmarsh, along with broadcaster Anthony Maroon, sports reporter Adam Peacock and NRLW premiership players Millie Elliott, Sam Bremner and Keeley Davis.
The show will begin on April 28.
Hindmarsh, who captained the Parramatta Eels, has enjoyed a long-running TV role with Fox Sports since retiring from the sport in 2012.
As for Triple M listeners in Qld, they're set to get a different Rush Hour hosted by Ben 'Dobbo' Dobbin and Elliott Lovejoy.
The duo will be joined by a rotating line-up of respected NRLW stars including Ali Brigginshaw, Romy Teitzel, Jaime Chapman and Mackenzie Weale.
Following intense public backlash from Sheargold's on-air remarks earlier this year, Southern Cross Austereo Chief Content Officer Dave Cameron, confirmed Sheargold and the network had 'mutually agreed to part ways'.
Sheargold later issued an apology for his remarks about the Matildas, saying: 'Any comedy including mine can miss the mark sometimes and I can see why people may have taken offence at my comments regarding the Matildas. I sincerely apologise.'
His remarks became the focus of such backlash that even Anthony Albanese added his voice to the wave of criticism.
'They were just shocking comments that anyone could think it, let alone say it,' the Prime Minister said.
'Completely unacceptable. The Tillies are just legends. They excited and brought together the whole country (during the 2023 World Cup). The whole country was united in cheering for them.'
Along with his derogatory comments about the Matildas, Sheargold also sparked outrage when he weighed in on an important women's health issue.
'God, don't ladies carry on. Jesus Christ, there is no end of it,' he told listeners, 'Honestly, endometriosis, and this is controversial. No, I'm going to say it, it's controversial. It's made-up.'

Australia's Formula One ace Oscar Piastri takes pole at Belgian Grand Prix with fastest lap in history
Australia's Formula One leader Oscar Piastri took pole position for the Saturday sprint by nearly half a second at the Belgian Grand Prix while McLaren teammate and title rival Lando Norris qualified third. Red Bull's reigning champion Max Verstappen will join Piastri on the front row for the first race since Christian Horner was dismissed as team boss and replaced with Laurent Mekies. Piastri lapped the Spa-Francorchamps circuit with a best time of one minute 40.510 seconds, 0.477 seconds quicker than Verstappen and 0.618 clear of Norris. He was at risk of being eliminated after straying off track in the second part of the session but bounced back to pip Verstappen, who split the two dominant McLarens by relegating Norris to third, .618 off the pace. The flying lap set a new record, too, seven tenths faster than Lewis Hamilton's record from 2020. 'The car's been mega all day,' said Piastri, who claimed his first sprint pole of the campaign. 'This is a track I love, it's my favourite one of the year and maybe that gave me a couple of extra tenths (of a second).' The Melburnian, who also set the pace in earlier practice, is eight points clear at the top after 12 of 24 rounds. 'It was a good lap. A little scare in SQ2 with the lap deletion. But thanks to the team, the car has been great and this is a track I love. Maybe that gave me a couple of extra tenths,' he said. 'The car has been in a good window since lap one and it is a track I always enjoy coming to. 'It is nice to get a result today. 'The Red Bulls were very quick in a straight line in practice. That makes life difficult in terms of it being the worst track to have pole position.' There was a lot of love for Piastri on social media following his electrifying effort, with F1 fans stunned by his performance. 'OH. MY. WORD. Oscar Piastri's sprint pole position laptime is OVER SEVEN TENTHS FASTER than the previous lap record … set by Lewis Hamilton in the MERCEDES W11,' Formula 1 God said on X (formerly Twitter). And the F1 Republic said: 'An unstoppable lap from the Aussie secured Sprint Pole ahead of Verstappen and Norris.' F1 presenter Matt Gallagher said: 'Oscar Piastri that is a PHENOMENAL lap ... nearly half a second clear!!!' While a fan said: 'That Piastri lap…. standing up and applauding ... that's my driver.' Ferrari's Charles Leclerc starts fourth but teammate Lewis Hamilton will line up 18th after a difficult afternoon for the seven-times world champion, whose most recent win came at the same circuit last year with Mercedes. The Briton spun on his last flying lap while on course to go through, with the suspicion falling on a failure of the car's rear axle. George Russell, who finished first last year for Mercedes but was then disqualified for an underweight car, also struggled and qualified 13th. McLaren team chief Andrea Stella told Sky Sports: 'That was a pretty amazing lap by Oscar, he capitalised on everything available in the car. 'An almost perfect session from Oscar, except for the lap deletion in SQ2 which gave us a bit of a moment on the pit wall!'

"How's the serenity?" A Bonnie Doon holiday home straight out of 'The Castle' is up for grabs
Fans of Aussie cult classic The Castle will be thrilled to learn that this modest Bonnie Doon gem at 11 Nanda Court is for sale. And while it's not the actual Bonnie Doon holiday house, it could easily pass for it. This classic home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac, just across from Lake Eildon and the real Kerrigan holiday house, where The Castle was filmed. Although you can't buy The Castle holiday house, it is currently listed on AirBn'B as a rental so you can live like a Kerrigan and enjoy the smell of two stroke while burning some bangers on the BBQ. The AirBnB even features Tracy's Hairdressing TAFE certificate hanging on the wall and Coco the greyhound's dog kennel in the backyard! 11 Nanda Court is quite a bit more upscale and features two bedrooms, a complete renovation and a verandah with lakeside views. You'll want to sit outside and contemplate "how's the serenity?" while the mozzie zapper burns in the background. The asking price for Number 11 is $890,000 and it last sold for $61,000 in 1985, about 12 years before The Castle hit cinemas. While it might not come with a set of jousting sticks, it does come with a whole lot of magic. Lake Eildon's just across the road if you're into fishing or boating, and Mt Buller's about an hour away if you'd rather hit the snow. Whether you're in it for the nostalgia, the fresh air, or just want to tell your mates: "It's not a house... it's a home", this one's worth a look. As Dale Kerrigan once said while speeding along Lake Eildon in the family boat: "Dad reckons the faster you go, the more you see."

Two Aussies to score multimillion-dollar homes in My Reno Rules
A brand-new renovation reality show, My Reno Rules, is set to hit screens and it's turning the real estate game on its head. Fronted by Dr Chris Brown, the series will see four Aussie battler teams go head-to-head to transform two neighbouring homes in a picturesque Melbourne suburb, all with a multimillion-dollar prize on the line. But this time, the real winners could be watching from the couch. In a television first, two lucky Australians will score the keys to the spectacularly renovated homes, fully furnished, landscaped, and packed with luxury features, simply by tuning in. The renovation teams will be vying for a cash prize. "It may be the biggest giveaway ever on Australian TV," Brown told Seven's Sunrise on Thursday. "If you're not especially gifted on a circular saw or picking a colour palette, it's quite appealing to know at the end of this series, live, you could win the homes you have just seen created during the show. "It is remarkable. It is an enormous, life-changing prize. These are two Australians who are going to get a brand-new designer home." The homes, donated by LMCT+ founder Adrian Portelli, will be completely overhauled on screen, with the renovation teams competing for a separate cash prize. And as one of the partners of the show, will be helping Aussies follow every nail gun, paint swatch and property transformation from start to finish, with exclusive content, expert insights and digital tools to help viewers understand what really adds value to a home. "On previous reno shows, they might do auctions and, unfortunately, only 1 per cent of the viewing audience have the capacity to buy those homes," Portelli said. "So, it's an awesome feeling to be able to take the viewers on an emotional journey, watch the houses get renovated and transformed into a dream luxury home, then potentially win it. "It's fantastic. It's phenomenal." Whether you're renovating your own place or just love stickybeaking into stunning spaces, this is must-watch television. Seven's Director of Television Angus Ross said My Reno Rules takes all the emotion, competition and high-stakes drama of My Kitchen Rules and brings it into the property world, with even higher rewards. "With showstopping house transformations, a life-changing cash prize for our winning team of renovators, and two multimillion-dollar dream homes up for grabs in an electrifying live grand final, we couldn't be more excited for the premiere of My Reno Rules. "It's going to be next level."
