‘Skeem Saam' promises new faces and the return of fan favourites

Skeem Saam is gearing up for a thrilling season 14, with the return of beloved characters alongside exciting new faces.
The SABC1 hit soapie has kept audiences hooked since its debut in 2011.
Among the fresh additions to the cast is multitalented rapper, actor and presenter Tshepo 'Howza' Mosese, who joins the show as Ghost from 14 June this year.

The Return of Turfloop's Slay Queen
Making a much-anticipated return is Lesego Marakalla, reprising her role as Rachel Kunutu — Turfloop's original slay queen.
After a five-year hiatus, Marakalla will make her first appearance on 10 June.
The actress said she is looking forward to returning to the show.
'It feels good to be back. It's not just about me, but also my supporters who appreciate my craft. They've been asking when I'll return to Skeem Saam, and I'm happy to say that they'll see me playing Rachel very soon,' said Marakalla.
Rachel's return also reignites the storyline with her estranged husband, Marothi Maphuthuma, played by Macks Senatla.
Marothi will return to the show on 13 June, and their reunion is expected to be intense.
Fans on social media said they are looking forward to the return of the popular Skeem Saam couple.

Norma Mngoma compares ex Malusi Gigaba to Diddy in shock tell-all
Norma Mngoma has compared her ex-husband, Malusi Gigaba, to disgraced US rapper P Diddy over his use of baby oil in the bedroom. She's also detailed his alleged love of porn, mistresses, and their degrading sex life. From 2014 to 2020, the IT businesswoman was married to the former Minister of Home Affairs and later Finance. Their R6 million wedding and marriage crumbled after a series of Gigaba's alleged extra-marital affairs, which he has publicly denied. Mngoma made the bombshell allegations in a tell-all on Showmax's Untied , which Gigaba tried to block from airing unsuccessfully. During the hour-long episode, Norma Mngoma delved into her relationship with Malusi Gigba – whom she did not name – which began with him courting her whilst he was still legally married to another woman. Soon, the couple – known as the 'Gigabytes,' – had two children together and had gone public with their relationship. In 2014, they tied the knot in an extravagant wedding worth around '6 or 7 million'. Norma Mngoma said she received countless messages from women who claimed that they had sexual relations with her then-husband. She brushed them off, as he claimed that they were 'jealous' of their relationship. In 2020, Malusi Gigaba was also caught with his pants down in a video that went viral on social media. In a clip that shocked the Twitter [now X] timeline, Malusi was seen self-pleasuring himself, uttering the words, 'Imagine this in your mouth.' Mngoma claims that Gigaba deceived the public into thinking the video was personal between him and his wife. Claiming to be lied to and gaslit by her spouse, she told Untied presenter Relebogile Mabotja of the video: 'I saw it the day it was leaked, but we were blackmailed [by the woman] for six months [prior to this]. They were demanding money; they wanted a million. 'He acted like it was our video, but we've never done a video together, so why [lie]? 'He knew very well that it was a video of himself alone. So he lied until the day the video was leaked. 'When I heard that it was trending on Pornhub, I laughed. I used to say to him, 'There are so many things you lied about, one day you will be exposed. ' 'They finally got you'. Norma Mngoma compared her now ex-husband to the US rapper P Diddy, who has been accused of sexual assault, sex trafficking and harassment. She said of his official business trips to other provinces: 'Whenever you leave, you pack oils. You're like Puff Daddy [P Diddy] now. Why would you pack like that? It means whenever you leave home, you are prepared for those things.' Also in the interview, Norma Mngoma claimed that Malusi Gigaba stored nudes from other women on his iPad and watched porn while he did work for his ministerial duties. 'He was so used to it', she said. Mngoma also claimed Gigaba enjoyed calling her derogatory names during their intimate moments in the bedroom. She continued: 'We can be naughty, but don't degrade me. He loves that'. After accessing his phone to see incriminating messages, Mngoma finally caught her husband in the act when she arrived home early from a trip to find him in bed with another woman. 'The lady was in bed. She was trying to cover herself…I took off his glasses, I tried to beat him up', she said. In late 2020, Norma Mngoma started divorce proceedings, and in a few months, she was officially divorced from Malusi Gigaba, the father of her two children. She reverted to her maiden surname 'Mngoma', appeared as a keynote speaker at various business conferences and awards ceremonies – particularly those honouring females – and even launched her own charity, the Norma Mngoma Foundation, aimed at women and child upliftment. From being hailed a 'trophy wife', Mngoma said she saw herself as an 'independent woman'. 'I am free and I'm independent,' she told the media of her new identity. ‘I am a vessel for the viewers': MaBlerh on his return to ‘RHOD'
The highly anticipated reunion of The Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) season 5 finally aired, and the internet is still abuzz, from Minenhle "Minnie" Ntuli physically assaulting co-star Londie London to host Mthokozisi "MaBlerh" Cele aiming to diverge from the not-so-peaceful reunions in previous seasons. When you received the news that you'll be hosting The Real Housewives of Durban again, what was your reaction? I was definitely excited. I enjoy doing this show. I looked forward to seeing the ladies, as I only see and interact with them once a year. You've been staunch about the ladies being held accountable. How did you ensure each of them would be accountable at the reunion? I am a vessel for the viewers. It is the viewers who are always baying for the ladies to account for their actions and words. I merely facilitate that process by asking relevant questions. What are your thoughts on what unfurled in season 5 compared to season 4 of RHOD? Season 5 took me by surprise. I didn't expect the drama to reach the level that it did. I thought the new ladies were going to take some time and settle in. Little did I know. What shocked you the most this season? I honestly did not expect the drama between Minnie and Londie to escalate to the level that we saw. With the pressure that the cast experienced about what they wear, do you think the members embodied the expectations of the show this season? It is always weird to me when the conversation about classism and opulence creeps up on Real Housewives in South Africa. The whole premise of the show is rooted in glamour and opulence around the world. We tune in to see expensive houses, cars, jewellery, trips, lunches, etc. The clothes are part of that expected opulence.
