Abu Dhabi's Zein Qutami marries Elie Saab's son: All you need to know about the glamorous wedding

Khaleej Times3 days ago
Zein Qutami, an Abu Dhabi-raised Palestinian-Jordanian content creator, married Celio Saab, son of iconic Lebanese designer Elie Saab in what is being called a breathtaking celebration of love, heritage, and high fashion. Held in the heart of Lebanon, the glamorous event merged old-world tradition with couture extravagance and Zein was the dazzling star at the centre of it all.
Meet the Bride: Zein Qutami
Zein Qutami, born and raised in Abu Dhabi, is a lifestyle influencer, content creator, and the daughter of prominent Jordanian-Palestinian parents. She is known for her elegance, understated glamour, and warm social media presence. She first met Celio Saab in Dubai in June 2021, and their romance culminated in a fairytale engagement in June 2024, featuring a custom ring designed by Celio himself.

The Wedding
The couple's union was celebrated over two grand events in Lebanon. On July 17, a chic, pre-wedding party featuring scenic mountain views took place with a 10-tier cake. And on July 19, the main ceremony took place at the Bkerki Church, a historic site. The reception was attended by over 1,000 high-profile guests, including Nancy Ajram, Karen Wazen, and Balqees Fathi.
The Gowns
As expected, the gowns were couture masterpieces. Elie Saab created not one but two exclusive dresses for Zein. The ceremony gown was long-sleeved, floor-length with fitted bodice and cathedral train. It was adorned with intricate silver embroidery and paired with a veil and headpiece echoing the ornate detailing.
An Instagram video highlights the making of the gown. "Five sketches, three prototypes, and 780 hours later," the caption read. "We take you behind the scenes of Zein's custom creation by Maison Elie Saab. From final fittings to the magic of the making — this is 'The Dress.'"

The reception gown was a sleeveless, mermaid‑silhouette dress in 'Rose Sable' champagne hue. It featured a plunging V-neck, a 4.5 m overskirt, and dense linear crystal embroidery with sequins and diamond‑shaped stones to glow under candlelight.
In an interview with Harper's Bazaar Arabia, Zein said that this second gown represented 'something radiant and unapologetically glamorous.'
She said, "The look was designed to embody boldness and femininity in perfect balance; powerful, yet graceful.'

Athar Festival 2025 announces Amy Roko as Maheerah Programme Ambassador

This year's edition expands to three days with a new industry-wide networking event Riyadh – Saudi Arabia: Athar Festival 2025 has teamed up with Saudi creative icon and influencer, Amy Roko, who will take centre stage as ambassador of the third edition of the widely popular Maheerah Programme. This women empowerment initiative returns this year with new momentum, new faces, and a bold new direction, while introducing an extended three-day format. Known for her fearless voice and strong presence, Amy's appointment marks a new chapter for Maheerah Programme, as she embodies the values of authenticity, ambition, and community that lay at the heart of Maheerah. As ambassador, she will play a key role in amplifying the programme's mission, supporting women in the industry, and growing the reach of the network. Highlighting the significance of this new chapter, Bassel Kakish, Chief Executive Officer of Publicis Groupe Middle East & Turkey said, 'Maheerah has grown into something truly special. What began as a program has become a real platform, bringing women together to learn, connect and grow. As we continue building a supportive community of like-minded women within the Kingdom's creative industry, this year marks an exciting new chapter. With a bigger and bolder program ahead, and Amy Roko joining us as ambassador, we're amplifying everything Maheerah stands for. We can't wait to meet the inspiring women joining us this year.' Commenting on these latest developments, Kamille Merchant, Athar Festival Director, said: "Maheerah has become one of the most meaningful initiatives at Athar Festival, growing from a programme to a network in just three years, marking a significant step in its evolution. Together, we are deepening our commitment to empowering women across every level of the creative industry. This is fittingly reflected by the appointment of Amy Roko as ambassador, which we are confident will bring new energy and more visibility to the programme." Reflecting on her appointment as the new Maheerah Programme Ambassador, Amy Roko, said: 'It's refreshing to be part of something that actually gets what it means to be a woman in this space: loud, ambitious, real, and unapologetically herself. Maheerah creates a space where women can be heard, supported, and celebrated for who they truly are, and I'm proud to be contributing to that kind of movement.' Dubai Design Week returns in November with a community focus

Dubai Design Week will return in November with a renewed emphasis on community. Running from November 4 to 9 at Dubai Design District (d3), this year's programme will look at ways of building more inclusive and connected communities. The theme aligns with the UAE authorities' designation of 2025 as the Year of Community. A varied line-up is expected to include large-scale exhibitions, public discussions and workshops exploring how design can foster social cohesion and shared civic life. A decade since its launch, this year's Dubai Design Week will be the biggest to date, with more venues added across d3, including the return of popular fixtures such as Downtown Design, Editions Art & Design and the UAE Designer Exhibition supported by Dubai Culture. The latter is being reformatted to highlight emerging talent. Among the initiatives is Urban Commissions, an international design competition inviting architects and designers to reinterpret the courtyard as a public space. Meanwhile, Abwab, the festival's curated pavilion series, expands its geographic scope this year to include works from West, South and East Asia, as well as Africa. Presented under the theme 'In the Details', the pavilions will explore ornamentation and material culture through spatial design. The 2025 d3 Architecture Exhibition, a collaboration with the Royal Institute of British Architects, will also be on site, with projects reflecting on how architecture can support community well-being. Editions, the region's only fair dedicated to limited-edition design and collectable art, is also returning. It will feature works from 50 regional and international galleries and studios across mediums, including ceramics, photography and contemporary design. The full programme – including keynote speakers, installations and featured designers – will be announced closer to the festival's opening date.
