Aaron Taylor-Johnson and wife swoon over each other at 28 Years Later premiere

Daily Mirror18-06-2025

Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his director wife Sam Taylor-Johnson looked as loved up as ever 13 years later from their wedding at the 28 Years Later film premiere
Aaron Taylor-Johnson and director wife Sam Taylor-Johnson had their arms around each other as they attended the glitzy world premiere of new zombie sequel 28 Years Later. The horror is the third film in Danny Boyle's post-apocalyptic series - with 35-year-old Aaron taking a leading role in the threequel.
He is playing a character named Jamie, who is a scavenger that is married to Jodie Comer's character Isla. However, the actor only had eyes for his real-life wife as they attended the premiere at London's Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Wednesday night.

The actor, who is among those said to be in the running to play James Bond, wore a pinstripe waistcoat and trousers along with a dark coloured shirt. He was joined by his 58-year-old wife who looked radiant in a white dress as she joined him on the red carpet.

Aaron and Sam have been married since 2012 and they met on the set of her 2009 film Nowhere Boy - a biopic about John Lennon. Casting of the film began in September 2008 - and Sam and Aaron began dating soon after they wrapping filming the project.
They tied-the-knot in 2012 and became parents together when they welcomed two daughters, born in 2010 and 2012. Aaron is stepfather to two further daughters that Sam shares with her ex-husband, 61-year-old art dealer Jay Jopling.
She looked proud of her husband as he led fellow cast members and director Danny into a screening of the hotly anticipated film sequel. The first in the series, 2002's 28 Days Later, followed Cillian Murphy's character Jim who awakens in hospital to discover the world has fallen to a zombie virus.
A sequel followed in 2007, 27 weeks later, but none of the original stars returned. This new sequel is tipped to be the beginning of a continuing trilogy of films, with Cillian due to return as his character, Jim.
Jodie Comer was also at the premiere on Wednesday night and shimmered in a glamorous, silver, summer gown. With her hair styled in a sleek bob, the Killing Eve star was spotted joking and laughing with her co-stars on the red carpet.

She was mirrored by actress Emma Laird, 28, who plays a character named Jimmima in the new movie. Emma also opted for a shimmering silver dress for the premiere.
And fellow stars Alfie Williams and Ralph Fiennes, who are playing characters named Spike and Dr. Ian Kelson respectively. An official synopsis of the new film paints an enticing plot for the new film.

It reveals: "Twenty-eight years after the Rage virus escaped a medical research laboratory, survivors have found ways to exist amidst the infected.
"One group lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily defended causeway. When a father and his son leave the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, they discover the secrets, wonders and horrors of the outside world."
Screenwriter Alex Garland, who wrote the first two films in the series, has previously explained that he turned to a classic British film for inspiration while writing the third installment in the 28 franchise.

He told Screenrant last year: 'I ripped off this film called Kes, a very unexpected thing to rip off in a zombie movie. The script I delivered and Kes, both focused on the experience of a young lad and because I am ripping it off, I wanna direct people to the source material."
He added: "It's a very wonderful film, very moving film, and I've stolen from it.'
Kes was a 1969 British coming-of-age drama directed by Ken Loach and based on the novel A Kestrel for a Knave, written by Barry Hines. The story follows a working class teen called Billy who finds and cares for a fledgling kestrel which he trains in the art of falconry.
The tragic story ends, however, with Billy's half-brother killing the bird in a fit of rage - leaving Billy bereft and devastated. There are plans for 28 Years later to lead to two further films, with a sequel titled 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple already set for release in January 2026.

All Neighbours spoilers for next week as love triangle is ‘solved'

Neighbours is lining up a huge week for Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) as his love triangle seems to finally come to an end. At the time of writing, 67% of Metro readers have voted in our poll for him to settle down with Rhett Norman (Liam Maguire). But with Colton Keys (Jakob Ambrose) suddenly deciding he wants something more serious too, who will Aaron choose? Amid the romance, a horrific incident takes place and one Ramsay Street resident is brutally attacked. A legendary family has to come to terms with yet another tragedy, while Cara Varga-Murphy (Sara West) puts her police training into full swing to track down the culprit. Despite receiving a warning from Andrew Rodwell (Lloyd Will) about her underhand behaviour, she presses ahead and nails the attacker. Elsewhere, newbie Saskia Ramsay (Mia Foran) continues to make quite the impression on her new neighbours, firstly offending teacher Wendy Rodwell (Candice Leask), and then trying to jeopardise Sadie Rodwell's (Emerald Chan) career. Plus, there's fresh worries for Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne) when husband Karl (Alan Fletcher) refuses to confront his issues, and remains firm on his decision to resign from Eirini Rising. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Will she be able to talk him round? For all the hottest goss from Melbourne's most-liveable suburb, I'm your man. Here's next week's Neighbours spoilers… Aaron tries to work out whether Nicolette's theory is true – have Rhett and Colton hooked up? When he confronts them, he's left embarrassed by their perfectly reasonable explanation. The pair are livid at his suggestion, and Aaron berates Nic for leading him to believe her dodgy intel. To make matters worse, the whole mess has actually drawn the two men closer together, and they've started hanging out without Aaron. Across the road, Susan has doubts about Karl's decision to resign from Eirini Rising. He's keen not to leave Terese in the lurch, and starts to search out for a potential successor – and pitches the idea to Remi. She's against the idea, but Susan comes up with another proposal. She hopes that if Remi shows a small amount of interest in the position, it'll buy more time for Karl to change his mind. Remi is uneasy about betraying Karl, but agrees to give it a go. The plan is set in motion and he's delighted. Is this a dangerous game? Down at the retirement complex, Terese is in two minds about leaving everything behind to enjoy a holiday in Rome. Everything Darcy did still looms large, but Colton assures her that he'll make everything okay by easing the residents' nerves with a fun activity. NAKED. YOGA. To Terese's surprise, the event is a huge hit with Gino and Vera, who give rave reviews. And to make things even better, it's given her the boost she needed to head off to Europe. I wonder whether she'll manage to fit in a nationwide tour of the UK while she's there? A horrific incident hits the neighbours when Byron is assaulted, and Jane has to confront yet another family tragedy. Cara keeps an eye on the investigation, until Jane and Nic discover some cruel billboard vandalism that is clearly aimed at his old escorting career. Taye is summed to the advertisement, and Cara can see the full picture. Did the attacker have the right sex worker? Elsewhere, Holly is inspired by Andrew's reunion with his biological family to reach out to mum Izzy. Unsurprisingly, she's knocked back, and Max's own history with her mother leaves her needing more. Andrew comes to the rescue, and offers some non-judgemental advice. Things aren't going too well for his wife Wendy, though. Just one week into her new teaching job at Erinsborough High, a Maths class goes disasterously. Saskia is clearly heckling her in the hope of gaining approval from her peers – something which Wendy doesn't pick up on. She does, however, see that her behaviour is changing. She reaches out and offers the newbie a pair of handmade earrings, encouraging her to be herself and everything will fall into place. Will she heed her teacher's advice? Cara is convinced that there's only one person in the frame for Byron's attack – Lydia. Andrew is unconvinced, but agrees to question her. When she denies all involvement, Andrew has to warn Cara that they can't pursue her any further without concrete evidence. But she isn't about to stop just there… Noticing Lydia in a heated conversation with her son Jesse, Cara can see that his knuckles are bruised and cut. It's obvious to her that he was the one who assaulted Byron. She gives Lydia one last chance to fess up to what has happened, as it's the only way of helping her troubled son. Jesse comes forward, and with truth now finally out in the open, Lydia is charged. While that's a relief for Byron, he can't shake off the awkward advances from Saskia, who grows increasingly jealous by the attention he's giving Sadie. He's still hopeful of a romantic reunion, but she friendzones him. Saskia overhears her relaying the incident to Max and Holly, and interjects with a damning remark, leading Max to tell his little sister to stay out of matters that don't concern her. Unsatisfied, she goes to the Lassiters Day Spa and tampers with Sadie's facial products, which give Nicolette a nasty burn to the skin. Elsewhere, Holly is enthusiastic at Andrew being invited to a party with his birth family, but Wendy is disappointed as it's likely she won't be able to attend with him because of work. Later, at school, Wendy scorns Saskia for being late to class, embarrassing her in front of the other pupils. In response, she bins the earrings that were gifted to her. Wendy confronts the teen over them, but is palmed off with an excuse about being bullied by other students and having them stolen. Back at home, Andrew is disappointed when Wendy reveals she can't get the time off to join him in Sandy Point. Aaron is pleased that things are starting to thaw out with Colton and Rhett, but is taken by surprise when Colton makes it clear that he now wants something serious. Unsure what to do, Aaron takes some time out to spend the afternoon with Isla – and soon runs into Rhett and his daughter Tilly. It's clear that there could be something special between the men. Later, Rhett deals an ultimatum. It's time to choose where his heart lies. Elsewhere, Nic reels in agony after her mishap at the Day Spa and Sadie has absolutely no idea how it's happened. She's deeply apologetic. Byron returns from hospital and Saskia goes to great lengths to make it clear to him that she's no longer interested, even setting up a date with Dex. I'm still reeling after watching the horror film everyone's talking about

28 Years Later is a sequel to the popular 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later films, and has left viewers terrified, shocked and confused - all in equal measure. When 28 Days Later first hit the screens in 2002, I was just six years old - far too young to appreciate the intense, psychological pseudo-zombie horror filled with sprinting infected spewing blood and driven by the Rage Virus. However, as a teenager, I developed a fascination for the film and its less acclaimed sequel, 28 Weeks Later - which, in my view, boasts the best opening scene of any zombie film ever. ‌ So, you can imagine my thrill when I learnt that director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland were returning in 2025 with the third chapter of the franchise, 28 Years Later. This sequel deviates significantly from the previous films, and personally, I think this is a positive move. ‌ In the film, 28 years have elapsed since the Rage virus ravaged the UK. Mainland Britain has been quarantined, leaving those outside the island to grapple with the hordes of infected who range from the typical sprinting zombies made famous in the initial films to the swollen bloated infected who drag themselves across the forest floor surviving on worms. The introduction of these infected is utterly terrifying - the foley sound effect of these corpse-like creatures slurping down worms will echo in my mind for weeks. There's also another new type of infected - an Alpha. This monstrous zombie appears capable of critical thinking, making him a formidable foe for the main protagonists - father and son duo Jamie and Spike, portrayed by Aaron Taylor Johnson and Alfie Williams respectively, reports the Express. When Jamie guides Spike from their fortified village on Lindisfarne, across the tidal causeway to the mainland, Spike gets a rapid initiation into zombie hunting and scavenging. Echoing its predecessors, 28 Years Later is as much about family and society as it is about zombies. The plot thickens when Spike learns of a mysterious doctor on the mainland, portrayed by Ralph Fiennes, setting off an unparalleled hero's journey. ‌ In a desperate bid to find a cure for his mother Isla, brought to life by a brilliantly unhinged Jodie Comer, Spike leaves the safety of the village and his father's influence. He embarks on a perilous journey through the treacherous forest with his hallucinating mother, relentlessly chased by all three types of infected. The emotional bond between Spike and Isla was hidden in the film's promotional material, making its revelation a surprise that adds another layer of terror to the movie. Spike's commitment to finding a cure for his mother forms a central part of the storyline, ratcheting up the tension as the plot unfolds. In her lucid moments, Isla embodies the perfect mother - but she can also succumb to fits of rage and uncontrollable bleeding, eerily similar to the infected they are desperately trying to evade. The entire film is a thrilling ride, with the suspense barely easing off for a moment, culminating in the most unexpected and outlandish ending I've ever witnessed. Boyle and Gardener have already shot the next chapter of the series. 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple is slated for release in January next year, and I'll be there in the cinema on opening day. In conclusion, 28 Years Later is a brilliant extension of the franchise, and it's one of those films that has you insisting all your mates see it too, just so you can collectively ask 'what on earth was that?'.

The mum-of-two wore green figure-hugging sportswear and draped a jumper over her shoulders. The outing comes after Holly revealed the moment Aaron popped the question during a romantic date night. He got down on one knee while they dined inside a garden igloo pod, leaving Holly stunned and crying with joy. She captioned the post: "The easiest 'YES'. "You bring the best out of me, you care about my opinion, you make me feel safe with being vulnerable, you allow my imperfect days, we work through conflict, you're my support network, you give me 100 per cent every single day. "I finally understand the meaning of 'finding the one'. I love you." Holly's former MAFS co-stars raced to congratulate the pair. Polly Sellman wrote: "Oh Hol, so happy for you my girl." Aaron, from Dagenham, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply back in 2021. He allegedly cheated on his partner with Holly - and she found out days before giving birth to his third child. Holly is said to have been aware of Aaron's partner's pregnancy, but decided to go Instagram official with him in PDA-filled snaps just three days after the birth. A source told The Sun at the time: '[Holly and Aaron] had been talking for a few weeks and finally met up last weekend. 'He was already in a relationship with a different girl who was heavily pregnant and had the baby on Thursday. They met the day after - Holly fully knows about this. She portrayed herself as a girl's girl on the show. 'Aaron was at the birth and then drove four and a half hours to Holly's house [in Huddersfield]. The baby's mum put the photo of the baby on Facebook on Friday and then Holly posted a photo with Aaron on Sunday.' The couple allegedly met through TikTok earlier this year, where Aaron does content creation work under the username bigazz1. 8 The couple met through TikTok in February Credit: mancpicss66/Aaron Parfitt 8 Aaron's been introduced to Holly's two children Credit: mancpicss66/Aaron Parfitt Things are said to have moved quickly, according to a source who told The Sun that Aaron had already met Holly's kids. The source continued: 'They started chatting in February - they met through TikTok. 'He has a platform on there - it's where he makes his money. 'Recently he's been posting content about going to Morocco, before that he was trolling people online. 'He also classes himself as a bit of a rapper - but he should just stick to the day job.' Aaron is a father-of-three, with a daughter and a son from two previous relationships - as well as his latest welcome addition.
