Flights suspended and stay-at-home orders issued after wildfire erupts in France
The prefecture urged people in the affected areas to stay indoors and off the roads on Tuesday.
With the fire approaching Marseille, the prefecture also advised residents in the northern area of the city to remain inside with doors and windows closed to prevent toxic smoke from entering their homes.

Live TV footage showed light smoke giving the sky over Marseille's old port a dusty aspect.
Some 168 firefighters, two helicopters and 68 engines were deployed to tackle the fire, which broke out near the town of Les Pennes-Mirabeau, with 350 hectares (865 acres) hit.
There have been no reports of casualties.
Marseille airport announced that the runway had been closed at around midday.
Several weeks of heatwaves combined with strong winds have increased the risk of wildfires in southern France, with several breaking out over the past couple of days.

The mum-to-be looked delighted as she panned the camera around to show her private seated area and extra leg room. The Irish host beamed as she said: "Well this is a novelty isn't it?"

‘Apocalyptic' blazes force Marseilles airport to SHUT as residents evacuated & choking smoke billows over French region
"APOCALYPTIC" blazes have forced Marseilles International Airport to shut down as France braces to tackle raging wildfires. By the afternoon, it roared across 350 hectares (860 acres), according to French firefighters. The blaze, fanned by winds of up to 70 kilometres per hour, could be smelled in the centre of Marseilles, as thick clouds of smoke hovered over the city. The fire near Marseilles is just the latest to have hit France in recent days.
