Born with Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency, a rare condition affecting the growth of the lower limbs, Sicelimpilo has faced many challenges from a young age. After struggling in mainstream schools due to limited accessibility, he joined Hope School in Grade 7, where he found the support and understanding he needed.
In Grade 8, he was introduced to wheelchair basketball and quickly fell in love with the sport. With hard work and commitment, he earned a place in the national U23 team, competing in Egypt, Libya, and, most recently, Brazil. 'Sport has taught me discipline, and that I don't have to do everything alone.'
Now back home, Sicelimpilo hopes to inspire other young people living with disabilities. He dreams of growing his sporting career and raising awareness about inclusion and accessibility. 'Having a disability isn't the end; it's just the beginning of doing things differently.'

Kaizer Chiefs fall short on strikers, but have exciting prospects
Kaizer Chiefs are looking like they will fall short on priority targets Michael Olunda and Fiston Mayele. Both are in-form and have hefty price-tags. Although this is sad news, the silver lining is that AmaKhosi have a wealth of academy talent to test for next season. Who doesn't love a hometown hero. 'There are a number of strikers that the club [Kaizer Chiefs] have been looking at apart from Mayele and Olunga. One of them is Flavio Silva who the team has already announced and the others are Etiosa Ighodaro and youngster Naledi Hlongwane who has been promoted from the DDC side. So the search for strikers continues even though one has already been signed,' Soccer Laduma said. Another source reaffirmed the sentinement, saying, 'Apart from Naledi Hlongwane the club was looking at signing two more experienced strikers. Apparently now that they have signed Flavio Silva, they are still looking at signing one more to bolster the team's striking department. They are believed to be working hard on that.' Kaizer Chiefs fans have expressed their concerning for the lack of signings, perhaps instigated by Orlando Pirates flurry of arrivals. Last week Jessica Motaung released a statement regarding the club's transfer business, saying, 'Great to hear the players come back. I see they have maintained their fitness. That's what I love. I see they are focused and ready to come and face the challenges that they have.' 'Certainly, we are working on the intakes for the new season and I know that the technical team, as well as the sporting department, is working closely to make sure that they are looking at different types of players and signing the players for the next season.' 'Hopefully, we will see some of those signings at the Toyota Cup and in the pre-season. But also, the window is open for a period of time, so we are not closed off and saying the signings we make now are fast and final,' she added. 'Certainly, there is a lot of work being done to make sure that we realise the vision, which is to continue ascending locally and on the African continent in terms of our rightful place and where we should be as Kaizer Chiefs.' Faf lauds ‘fantastic' Van den Berg
Scrumhalf Morné Van den Berg put in an assured performance in what was an underwhelming Springbok display in the first Test against Italy. The nuggety No 9 scored two tries in the 55 minutes he played to remind coach Rassie Erasmus that he's a real contender for that jersey ahead of the Rugby Championship and end-of-year tour. The man who replaced him last night, Faf de Klerk, told SuperSport that Van den Berg's quality is shining through. READ: Boks go into Gqeberha Test with 'bruised egos' 'He's a fantastic player,' said the 59-Test veteran. 'I'm really glad he's taking the opportunities he's getting. He's doing really well for the Lions and showing his quality now. He's a great guy and wants to learn as much as he can, so it's always awesome having that guy in the squad.' Looking ahead to next weekend, De Klerk says the squad as a whole will need to give an honest assessment of what went wrong in Pretoria. 'There's going to be disappointment in our performance. There was some good stuff and some bad things we can work on. Credit to Italy, they really made it hard for us especially at the breakdown. We couldn't get that momentum going, and I thought their forwards were phenomenal. Definitely some things we'll need to look at in the week and fix before the next Test.' ALSO: Kriel: Italy got us at the breakdown After the match, Erasmus expressed his frustration at his team's performance and says he may need to re-look the planned selections for the second Test in Gqeberha. 'Internally we've announced that 13, 14 players that will definitely get a run next week, and that we'd build the bench or starting line-up around those guys,' he said. 'We won't discard those guys but some of them might move to the bench, some of the real standout players who played today might start again.'
