Zalando launches shoppable beauty format with Insider's Edit

Beauty consumers embrace authenticity and that includes links with experts who really have something to say. So it's interesting that Zalando is partnering with beauty expert Sophie Carbonari for the launch of its new Insider's Edit format.
The 'A-list celebrity facialist' is the first to feature in the Insider's Edit – the e-tailer's new 'expert-led beauty series providing consumers with advice and educational content'.
Virginie Duigou, head of Beauty Buying, explained: 'Our customers are looking for more than just beauty products, they're seeking guidance, authenticity, and purpose. Sophie brings deep expertise, cultural relevance, and a remarkable ability to educate and inspire. Her perspective strengthens our mission to deliver beauty that reflects modern lifestyles and celebrates diverse identities.'
She's a Paris-based skin specialist who offers an insight to her personal skincare routine. And Zalando will continue the Insider's Edit format throughout 2025 featuring European beauty experts and providing professional advice across various categories.
The shoppable format features a curated selection of her hero beauty products and a closer look at her minimalist skincare routine.
Zalando said Carbonari 'has quietly become one of the most trusted hands in beauty, working behind the scenes with some of the most photographed faces in the world. Celebrated for redefining facial care with her intuitive, skin-first approach, Sophie's Edit shares a relatable skincare routine, with pro insights and techniques combined with products from coveted beauty brands at Zalando'.
Carbonari herself said her edit is 'both accessible and results-driven, designed to inspire and guide customers in building a beauty regimen that truly works for them'.
The e-tailer cited its recent research that showed 'consumers are entering a new chapter of beauty – one defined by balance, not perfection. From 'energy resets' and 'minimalist routines' with a focus on products that soothe as much as they perform, the emphasis is shifting to how beauty makes people feel, not just how it makes them look'.
And it added that Carbonari's philosophy mirrors this: 'Her approach supports restorative beauty as a daily ritual, prioritising internal calm and barrier health. Her curation reflects a growing consumer desire for beauty that's intuitive, multi-functional, and self-affirming — not performative.'

The Parently Group named UK licensee for Italian Lelli Kelly's move into apparel

Italian children's footwear brand Lelli Kelly has named Manchester-based The Parently Group as its UK clothing licensee. And the British family-owned fashion and schoolwear specialist has launched the new collection for UK buyers looking for SS26 and back-to-school 26 ranges. The girls' brand is known for its shoes and by partnering with the UK business on apparel is opening itself up to what's a major new category for it. The parters said the new Lelli Kelly Apparel Collection brings 'the brand's iconic sparkle and unique aesthetic from footwear to clothing'. Parently is offering 'a vibrant range of girls' apparel' targeting both SS26 and BTS26. A lot of potential consumers will already recognise the brand that's known internationally for its embellished shoes and 'fun-loving identity' and with that profile having been extended into the full fashion range it clearly has a lot of potential, helped by Parently's strength in the category. The inaugural collection features statement prints, 'and whimsical designs, perfectly suited for girls who love to express themselves,' we're told. As mentioned, schoolwear is also included in the mix, 'with creative design inspiration that draws on the popularity of the Lelli Kelly school shoes'. Lelli Kelly's president and founder Attilio Attilieni said that every aspect of the brand 'from product to communication, is created from girls' point of view and dedicated to them. Our shoes give life to joy, creativity and inspiration and we are happy to bring that same spirit to apparel through this new partnership'. And Parently CEO Kathryn Shuttleworth added that the apparel expansion 'feels like a natural evolution' of the label.
