(HMSI) has opened its first EV Concept Store in India at Mantri Square Mall, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru. The store marks a key step in HMSI's electric mobility roadmap and aims to showcase the company's progress in electrification, battery-swapping technology, and product innovation.
Alongside the store launch, HMSI announced a new BaaS (
Battery as a Service
) Lite Plan for its electric scooter, Activa e, priced at ₹678 per month for 20kWh of energy use. The plan is designed for users with limited daily travel needs and supplements the existing Basic and Advance BaaS subscription options.
Inside the EV concept store
The Concept Store features a central LED display offering interactive content on Honda's mobility solutions, a history wall tracing key milestones, and several product exhibits. The Product Display Zone features models such as the Activa e and QC1, while a
Safe Tech Zone
displays technical components like motors, batteries, and the Honda Power Pack Exchanger e, which supports battery swapping for Activa e.
Other exhibits include a scale model of the Honda Jet, the Moto Compacto foldable scooter, and the eGX electric go-kart powered by swappable batteries. The store also features a Kids Interaction Zone to engage younger visitors.
Activa e and subscription options
The Activa e is equipped with two 1.5 kWh swappable batteries developed by Honda Motor Co., Japan, and managed by
Honda Power Pack Energy India
(HEID). The scooter has a claimed range of 102 km on a full charge. Customers can access battery swapping services through designated Honda swapping stations.
HMSI's newly announced subscription pricing for Activa e includes:
Lite Plan (20kWh/month) – ₹678Basic Plan (35kWh/month) – ₹1,999Advance Plan (87kWh/month) – ₹3,599
These subscription models are aimed at offering flexible ownership and usage options for a broader segment of customers.

In June, HMSI continued its focus on road safety with awareness drives in 12 cities, including Jamnagar, Kota, Sangamner, Kanyakumari, and Gurugram. It also celebrated milestones at its Traffic Training Parks in Bhubaneswar (11 years) and Tiruchirappalli (6 years). A Summer Camp at the Delhi Traffic Training Park engaged children in road safety education through games and cycling practice. To mark Environment Week 2025, HMSI dealerships and service centres ran eco-awareness drives, including sapling distribution, plastic pollution awareness, and tree plantation activities, aligning with World Environment Day on June 5, the company said in a statement.

This figure includes domestic sales of 3,88,812 units and exports of 40,335 units. The company also shared its year-to-date (YTD) sales figures for FY26 (April–June 2025), which stood at 13,75,120 units. This includes 12,28,961 units sold in the domestic market and 1,46,159 units exported to global markets. 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp During the month, the two wheeler maker launched the 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp. The all-new XL750 Transalp adopts a design language that balances aggressive urban styling with robust off-road practicality. Influenced by Honda's top-shelf Africa Twin, the front has been restyled with a more aerodynamic visor and dual LED projector headlamps that serve to boost both aesthetics and aerodynamics when traversing long distances. The silhouette looks slender in profile but feels significant and tall-a stature fit for all kinds of terrain. The display supports Honda's RoadSync connectivity app, allowing riders to control music, calls, SMS alerts, and navigation through a four-way toggle switch on the handlebar. The XL750 Transalp features a 755cc parallel-twin cylinder liquid-cooled engine that is tuned to deliver 90.5 bhp at 9,500 rpm and torque of 75 Nm at 7,250 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed transmission, and assisted with Throttle-by-Wire (TBW) for smooth handling. Riders can toggle between five riding modes—Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel, and User—each adjusting power delivery, traction control (HSTC), engine braking, and ABS settings. Honda BaaS Along with the launch, Honda also introduced its new Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Lite. The new plan reduces the rental cost to ₹ 678 per month (+ GST), albeit restricted to 20 kWh. Price, range, features, battery swap tech Honda previously announced the BaaS plans starting from ₹ 1,999 for the Basic Plan and up to 35 kWh per month, while the Advance Plan is priced at ₹ 3,599 and up to 82 kWh per month. The BaaS plans are exclusively available with the Activa e, which comes equipped with swappable batteries. The battery swapping stations have been developed by Honda Motor Company, Japan, and managed by its subsidiary, Honda Power Pack Energy India.
