His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, led the ninth edition of the Prime Minister's Award for Journalism today, honouring Bahrain's most distinguished media professionals.
Held under his patronage, the ceremony was a powerful affirmation of the press as a cornerstone of Bahrain's progress. HRH the Crown Prince hailed the national media as a vital development partner—one that not only documents Bahrain's achievements, but also shapes public awareness and supports national ambitions in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
"Journalists are the voice of our people, the chroniclers of our journey, and the eyes through which the world sees Bahrain's progress,' HRH Prince Salman said, addressing an audience of senior officials, media leaders, and award-winning journalists. He praised the integrity and professionalism of Bahrain's press community, underscoring its role in empowering society and strengthening the nation's foundations.

Minister of Information, HE Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi, thanked His Majesty the King for his enduring support of the media and extended heartfelt appreciation to HRH the Crown Prince for his patronage of the event. Marking the 25th anniversary of the Bahrain Journalists Association, the Minister hailed the occasion as a milestone for Bahraini journalism.

Structured Strategy 'The future we are preparing for must be built with youth as active partners today,' the minister noted. She highlighted the importance of designing programmes that reflect young people's evolving ambitions. Tawfiqi said sustainable results could only be achieved through institutional mechanisms that link ministries, businesses, training bodies, and civil society. This ensures young people are not just participants but decision-makers in shaping Bahrain's future. The meeting spotlighted the role of the Youth Empowerment Committee in coordinating such efforts and affirmed its commitment to opening development pathways across industries. Digital Tools, Real Results Officials reviewed standout outcomes from Youth City 2030 programmes, including success stories in skills training, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Emphasis was placed on extending these results nationwide through continuous collaboration with private companies and NGOs. The ministry also introduced its new digital platform that streamlines access to youth programmes. The site offers real-time registration, opportunity tracking, and customised guidance. This allows young Bahrainis to take charge of their development paths more easily than ever before. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reaffirmed Bahrain's unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, emphasizing that these rights remain deeply rooted in the hearts of all Arabs. He called for unified international efforts to achieve a just and lasting resolution to the Palestinian cause. The Crown Prince highlighted the strong brotherly ties and close cooperation between Bahrain and Palestine, under the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. HRH Prince Salman made these remarks while receiving Palestinian Interior Minister Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al-Reeh and his accompanying delegation at Al Riffa Palace. The meeting was attended by Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and senior officials. During the meeting, the Palestinian Interior Minister conveyed President Abbas' greetings and best wishes for Bahrain's continued progress and prosperity. TDT | Manama Bahrain reaffirmed its unwavering support for global peace and legal order yesterday, as its parliamentary delegation addressed a high-level meeting on the sidelines of the 6th World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva. The session, held under the theme 'Upholding the UN Charter and International Law to Ensure Global Peace and Security,' was hosted by H.E. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, and convened by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). Representing Bahrain were H.E. MP Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and H.E. Dr. Bassam Ismail Al Binmohammed, member of the Shura Council's Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee. Balanced Diplomacy The Bahraini delegation underscored the Kingdom's principled foreign policy, rooted in respect for the UN Charter, pursuit of political solutions, and promotion of multilateral diplomacy. They reiterated Bahrain's belief in international law as the true guarantor of collective security and stability. This approach, they noted, reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, particularly in supporting peace, mutual respect, and regional cooperation. UN Council Role The delegation highlighted that Bahrain's election to the UN Security Council for the 2026– 2027 term is a direct result of its growing international standing and balanced engagement. They described it as a rare opportunity to amplify voices of moderation and reinforce global legal norms from within the world's top decision-making forum. The parliamentarians further stressed that the legislative authority, through its active parliamentary diplomacy, fully supports Bahrain's foreign policy and global peace efforts, including the incorporation of international legal principles into national legislation. Parliamentary Presence Bahrain's presence at such forums, they added, reflects its commitment to constructive global engagement and the strengthening of human values. The delegation welcomed initiatives that broaden parliamentary participation in international peacebuilding and reaffirmed Bahrain's support for legal multilateralism. The Geneva forum runs through July 31.
