AN ARGENTINE footballer has died while undergoing knee surgery, it has been announced.
The tragic news about Camilo Nuin, who was 18 years old, was confirmed on Wednesday evening by his club, San Telmo.

It is not clear what the cause of death was.
A statement from the club said: "SAN TELMO IN MOURNING
"With deep sorrow, we inform you of the passing of Camilo Ernesto Nuin, a player from our Youth Divisions and Reserve team, who was undergoing a surgical procedure today.
"The club will remain closed during the day today as a sign of mourning.

The midfielder had played for the club since 2022.
He Nuin previously had spells in the youth academy set-ups of giants Boca Juniors and Independiente.
The Argentine football association also paid tribute, adding: "The Argentine Football Association, through its president Claudio Tapia and executive committee, expresses its sorrow at the death of Camilo Nuin and extends its condolences to the player's family."
