Wendy's Is Giving Away Its New Frosty for Free This Week

Yahoo21-05-2025
Wendy's is giving away medium Frosty Fusions this week during Grubhub's seasonal savings event.
The offer includes Wendy's three new Frosty Fusion flavors. The Frosty is Wendy's answer to a milkshake, only it's a lot thicker than a McDonald's Shake or a Shake Shack Shake. It's a menu classic that's remained largely unchanged, but earlier this month, Wendy's dropped a new line of Frosty treats, shaking up the entire Frosty experience.
For the first time ever, Wendy's introduced mix-ins to the iconic ice cream treat. These new Frostys are similar to a McDonald's McFlurry or a Dairy Queen Blizzard and they're definitely spoon-worthy.
Named the Frosty Fusion, Wendy's combines either its Vanilla or Chocolate Frosty with a sweet sauce and a crunchy mix-in. When our senior editor Courtney Kassel tried every new Frosty Fusion variety, she concluded that "there were no misses."
This week, as part of a special promotion, Wendy's is giving away free Frostys, and it's the perfect opportunity to try one of these new Frosty Fusions. And if you're an Amazon Prime member, you likely have special access to this deal and more.
Now through May 25, Grubhub+ members can get a free medium Frosty Fusion with an order of $20 or more at Wendy's. It's all part of the Gold Days of Grubhub+, a savings event just for members of Grubhub's premium food takeaway and delivery service. The seasonal discounts include grocery savings, reduced restaurant bills, and fast food freebies.
And if you have Amazon Prime, you already have access to these offers. You can get a free Grubhub+ membership with your Amazon Prime subscription. Yes, really.
That means you can try one of the new Frosty Fusions: Pop-Tarts Strawberry Frosty Fusion, Oreo Brownie Frosty Fusion, or Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion. Typically, when Wendy's gives out free Frostys, it's a smaller size. But this offer is for medium Frostys, which means you could share your freebie—if you wanted to.
And if you need menu ideas for that $20 order minimum, Wendy's just debuted a new sandwich as well as a tropical drink that tastes like summer.

Today is your last day to subscribe to Peacock before they raise their prices: Here are 5 shows that make it worth it

Peacock has become a reliable streaming destination for its access to great original and library shows along with live sports, but in case you haven't heard, the platform is raising subscription prices this week – their second price hike in a year – and the increase is pretty substantial. Today (July 22) is your last day to lock in a subscription at current prices before rates increase tomorrow. Currently, the cost of the ad-supported plan is $79.99/year, but after tomorrow, it will rise to $109.99/year – that's a 38% increase. Their ad-free tier will increase roughly 20 percent from $139.99 to $169.99/year. (Existing customers will see the new rates go into effect on or after August 22.) If you're not a current subscriber, we recommend you get crackin' and grab an annual subscription today to lock in the current pricing before it jumps up tomorrow. Despite all the cost increases, Peacock does have one pretty big thing going for it: the streamer will feature more live sports than Amazon Prime, Paramount+, Hulu, HBO Max, Apple TV and Netflix combined in 2026, making it a must-have for sports enthusiasts. Currently, you can catch everything from Premier League soccer to WWE, golf, cycling, and much more on the platform. Not interested in sports? There's one more option available: Peacock is also going to be rolling out a new pricing tier called Peacock Select for $7.99/month that will offer access to all next-day NBC and Bravo entertainment content and older library content (but will not include Peacock original shows and movies or sports). Despite the significant price jump, we still love a lot of Peacock programming, from shows like The Traitors and Poker Face to it's impressive sports coverage. Here's what you need to know about how to subscribe today and lock in the current annual rate and watch Peacock for less in the coming year. What to watch on Peacock: Not sure what to watch with a Peacock subscription? The platform has an extensive library of classic shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Office and Law & Order, Bravo originals like The Real Housewives franchise and Below Deck, and great movies like Drop and The Bad Guys, and live sports, including WWE, Premier League Soccer and NFL games. Still need more options? Here are five of our favorite shows on Peacock to convince you: The Traitors Actor Alan Cumming has assumed his best role yet in Peacock's original reality competition series The Traitors. The premise: Cumming has invited a group of celebrities, from reality stars to politicians and athletes, to his castle in the Scottish highlands where they'll engage in a murder mystery. Cumming secretly names some of his guests as Traitors, and night after night, the Traitors "murder" the remaining contestants, dubbed the Faithfuls, who are then eliminated from the game, while the Faithfuls have to suss out and try and eliminate the Traitors. There are alliances, there's deception, there are surprise murders – and it's tons of campy fun covered in tartan. Stream on Peacock Poker Face Natasha Lyonne as an amateur detective in a case-of-the-week style mystery show is great TV. In Poker Face, the show created by Knives Out director Rian Johnson, Lyonne stars as Charlie Cale, a woman with the uncanny ability to tell when someone is lying. Like Murder, She Wrote and Columbo before it, every episode is a who's who of celebrity guests. Season two, which just ended, features appearances from Cynthia Erivo, Giancarlo Esposito, John Mulaney and Sam Richardson, among many others. Stream on Peacock The Day of the Jackal Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser took aim at The Day of the Jackal at this year's award ceremony, saying 'Eddie Redmayne did TV this year. He's nominated for Peacock's The Day of the Jackal. It's about a top-secret elite sniper who no one can see — because he's on Peacock." Even Redmayne laughed, but don't let the show's quiet presence stop you from checking it out, it's a great crime thriller based on the 1971 novel by Frederick Forsyth. Redmayne stars alongside Moses Ingram in the assassin's cat-and-mouse game and you can binge the whole thing in one go. Stream on Peacock Yellowstone Thanks to a deal struck before Paramount+ even existed in its current form, five seasons of the Paramount Network's hit show Yellowstone, starring Kevin Costner as rancher John Dutton, are available on Peacock. (The show's numerous spinoff prequels are on Paramount+ though, just to keep you on your toes.) Stream on Peacock We Are Lady Parts There are two seasons of the great British sitcom We Are Lady Parts available of Peacock. The show follow a British punk band called Lady Parts, which consists entirely of Muslim women, after their new guitarist, the timid biology student Amina (Anjana Vasan) joins them. As they try to find their audience, Amina struggles to find a comfortable middle ground between her traditional home life and her new life as a musician. Stream on Peacock

Walmart makes a jarring store change, eliminates 100s of jobs

Despite it being a challenging retail environment, few of our top retailers are struggling to make ends meet or disappointing customers. Of course, there will always be a very vocal (but often small) cohort of customers that want to bring attention to whatever their cause might be. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter Sometimes, this outrage is justified. Other times, it's an attempt to gain publicity or intrigue. But most big retailers are in the business of pleasing customers, so these problems tend to go away quite quickly. Take, for instance, Walmart's (WMT) new and popular policy of rolling back prices to pre-inflation levels. Related: Home Depot makes clear statement amid boycott threats The super retailer has been working to bring down the prices of things like groceries and key household essentials so customers won't feel the pinch of rising prices as sharply. But every now and then, a retailer is forced to adapt to the changing times and make hard decisions. This can come in the form of layoffs, which are always painful. Other tough decisions come in the form of store count reductions or selling off excessive inventory, which sound alarm bells to customers and analysts. And sometimes a store must restructure its functions, which can be a more complicated process and confuse customers and employees alike. Restructuring can mean a lot of things in the retail world. It can be something as straightforward as reworking the way corporate offices function. Or it may be a difficult change (and come with layoffs) for those who work for a retailer, but it doesn't affect customers all that much. More Retail: Popular Mexican chain closing all restaurants, no bankruptcyHome Depot local rival closing permanently after 120 yearsAmazon makes a harsh decision amid concerning customer trendHuge bankrupt retail chain closing down all stores after 80 years Other times, restructuring can be a massive, lengthy process that affects both employees and shoppers. Such is the case with Walmart, which announced sweeping changes to its stores in memo, sent by Executive Vice President of U.S. Store Operations Cedric Clark and reported by Reuters and Bloomberg. According to the new reports, Walmart is planning to eliminate its market coordinator role. The role was designed to assist market managers in keeping operations running smoothly. They were in charge of data collection and worked across stores in a given geography. The reduction could potentially see hundreds of jobs eliminated from Walmart's structure. Related: Amazon Prime gets bad news amid alarming customer issue "We're simplifying our market support structure, reducing touchpoints and friction for our store associates," Clark wrote of the change. "With improved processes and new tools, we've determined that the Market Coordinator (MC) role no longer serves the same purpose as when it was created. To help drive speed and clarity for our store leaders, we're giving ownership of the remaining work to other market-level associates and eliminating this role." Coach and coordinator jobs at Walmart Academies are also being reduced or shifted around. Walmart said these reductions would help it transition "from a one-size-fits-all staffing model to staffing our Walmart Academy facilities based on location, volume of participants, and training needs." Walmart said it would move some of its Academy roles based on need, removing them in less busy areas and moving them to where demand was higher.
