British boxing legend's son joins ARSENAL as he takes next step in dream of 'becoming the world's best footballer'
That's exactly what has happened now, as the son of a British heavyweight legend has signed with Arsenal.
David Haye 's 11-year-old boy Kingston has joined the Gunners' academy from Sutton United, where he was named the U11s player of the year in 2024.
The Hayemaker even says that his son, a budding midfielder, aspires to be 'the world's best footballer' and is 'extremely dedicated to the cause'.
High hopes and high praise from a father who knows a thing or two about sporting success - and rearing the next generation.
Haye, who became the undisputed world cruiserweight champion in 2008 and later lifted WBA heavyweight crown, has also produced a rising tennis star in the form of his other son Cassius.
Kingston's arrival at Arsenal was first reported by Mail Sport's Jeorge Bird.
But it turns out that father Haye predicted his son's precipitous rise over a year ago when he celebrated the Sutton U11s award, writing on Instagram: 'I am incredibly proud of my son, Kingston.
'At just 10 years old, he has won the Under 11's Sutton Player of the Year award. He is part of an excellent team at Sutton, which has been instrumental in teaching him the essential fundamentals to one day reach his full potential.
'Kingston is extremely dedicated and is pursuing his dream of becoming the world's best footballer. Stay tuned!'
Kingston will hope to follow a similar trajectory as his dad in his resepctive sport, but even imitating older brother Cassius would be a good start.
Cassius, 17, has a 74 per cent win rate in tennis and is ranked 1,924th on the ITF Junior Tour.
Celebrating his elder son's birthday earlier this year, Haye wrote: 'My eldest son had just turned 17... and I honestly can't believe how fast the years have flown.
'From a fearless little boy to a focused young man, he's now living on his own and competing full-time on the Spanish tennis circuit since last August.
'I'm incredibly proud of the way he's chasing his sporting dreams with discipline and maturity beyond his years. He's grown into a beautiful young man — inside and out… and at 6'4, he's now officially taller than me (not that I'm bitter about it).
'Big things ahead. Watch this space.'

Manchester United handed triple injury boost ahead of new season
Manchester United play their first Premier League game of the season against Arsenal in two weeks and Ruben Amorim could soon have three injured players back in his plans Lisandro Martinez is closing in on a Manchester United return ahead of the new season. The Argentine defender has been ruled out since February with a serious knee injury. But he is edging towards a return to the side, with further progress made during United's pre-season tour in the United States. Martinez is continuing his rehabilitation with his teammates in Chicago as he aims to return to the pitch. The Manchester Evening News suggest that the defender is set to resume light training as part of an individual programme. He is not, however, ready to train alongside his teammates just yet. That means Martinez could still be sidelined for United's Premier League opener against Arsenal in just over a fortnight. Speaking ahead of that game, Martinez said: 'The club is obviously going through a process of change. Since Sir Alex Ferguson 's departure, they haven't found a manager who hits the right note. Ten Hag did a remarkable job at Ajax, which is why he went to United, and thanks to him, I joined the club as well. "It's like everything in life: you take a gamble, and sometimes it works out well, sometimes it doesn't. I think that, like any club, if something isn't working, it needs to be changed. It's necessary to analyse what's working and what isn't and make changes accordingly because that's how great clubs operate. Manchester is one of the best clubs in the world. "Now Ruben Amorim has arrived with very good energy and willingness. I believe he will make the necessary changes. Without a doubt change is needed, because where we ended up in the table over the last two seasons is unacceptable." As Martinez steps up his recovery, Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee are both back training after their own respective issues. Onana has been struggling with a hamstring strain, while Zirkzee picked up a slight issue at the start of pre-season. But both have returned to the pitch and will step up their respective recoveries over the coming week. Speaking about his issue, Zirkzee said: "I've got a small injury but it shouldn't take too long to recover now. I've got great physios working with me every day. "It's not a serious problem. It's pre-season so unlike last season where I wanted to push myself to be back for the final, obviously now I just want to be there for the start of the season." United take on Everton on Sunday before their final pre-season game against Italian side Fiorentina in just over a week's time. They then have a further eight days to fine-tune any aspects of Ruben Amorim's tactics ahead of the season opener against Arsenal.

Emma Raducanu's ‘humiliation' of Canadian Open opponent she was accused of cheating against
Emma Raducanu will face Amanda Anisimova for the third time this year in the third round of the Canadian Open, with the Briton yet to drop a set thus far in Montreal British No. 1 Emma Raducanu is set to face a familiar opponent in Amanda Anisimova in the third round of the Canadian Open. The Toronto-born star has been making waves in Montreal after not dropping a single set so far in the tournament, most recently defeating Payton Stearns. Wimbledon runner-up Anisimova has also had a strong showing, although she only entered in the second round. And this could give the American, who returned to tennis after taking a hiatus in relation to her mental health, an important advantage as she seeks her maiden victory over Raducanu. The two players are known to be friendly off the court and have already faced each other twice in 2025, with Raducanu emerging victorious on both occasions - first at the Australian Open in January and then at the Miami Open in March. It was during the former that Raducanu drew the ire of Anisimova's fans, even being labelled a cheat for her actions. She was trailing 3-0 in the first set when she called for a medical timeout to receive treatment for a lower back issue. The 2021 US Open champion, who recently reclaimed top spot in the British rankings, went on to win six games without any response from Anisimova. However, her supporters were less silent as many took to social media and accused Raducanu of dishonesty. Numerous supporters even went so far as to suggest she called for the break merely to halt her opponent's momentum. One critic slammed X, exclaiming: "She's a cheater!! Running around winning three games after a MTO on a hip? Please!!! Faker." Another added: "This is flat out cheating by the way." When Raducanu and Anisimova faced off again in Miami two months later, the match ended with a decisive 6-1, 6-3 victory in the former's favour. The Anisimova who had previously put Raducanu under pressure in Melbourne was nowhere to be seen in Florida as she was dominated on the court. Sky Sports commentator Croft said during the match: "She is all over the place. That sigh says it all. Fed up out here. Not enjoying this. She's being humiliated." Anisimova needed a medical timeout in that same match to address wrist and hand issues that had troubled her earlier in the tournament. Controversy had already arisen during her third-round victory over 11th seed Mirra Andreeva when she took a timeout at 3-1 down in the final set to treat a blister on her middle finger. Russian teenager Andreeva's objections were dismissed by the umpire. The youngster had already taken a medical timeout herself for a stomach issue earlier in the game, of which Anisimova was all too aware. Anisimova took to Instagram to share a photo of her blistered right middle finger, conspicuously raised while the others were folded down. This gesture was not only a sharp retort to Andreeva but also a cautionary signal to Raducanu about crossing her. The image was accompanied by a sarcastic reference to Andreeva's remark: "'We all know why' at 3-1 up was a good one coming from the 1-2 first set medical." Anisimova conceded Andreeva's early medical timeout had disrupted her rhythm in the match. Although they may be on friendly terms for now, Raducanu might think twice before requesting a break when they clash on Friday in Montreal, with their encounter scheduled for just past 1am on Saturday morning UK time.

Lions star who was married to Chloe Madeley and had 'blind date' with Helen Skelton is now a DJ
One former British and Irish Lion will be DJing in Sydney after the team's third Test against Australia on Saturday, with his life undergoing plenty of changes since he toured The British and Irish Lions are set to conclude their tour against Australia and aim to make history, reminding fans of past stars who may have missed the mark. One such player is James Haskell, who was part of the 2017 Lions squad that ended their New Zealand series in a controversial draw. Andy Farrell's team have already clinched victory with a 2-0 lead Down Under, hoping to be the first Lions team to sweep a three-game series in Oz since 1904. The tour wraps up with a thrilling third Test at Stadium Australia on Saturday in Sydney, where anticipation remains high despite the series outcome being decided. Even though six years have passed since his retirement, former England flanker Haskell will be joining the celebrations. In fact, Wales Online reported he'll be partly in charge of post-match proceedings in Sydney's city centre as he continues to shine in his new career. Haskell, as he is known by his stage name, has announced he'll be DJing in the city centre after Saturday's finale. And there might just be a few familiar 110kg figures cutting shapes on the dance floor once the rugby action simmers. After retiring in 2019, Haskell, who also appeared on I'm A Me Out Of Here, transitioned into music not long after. Unlike his brief stint in mixed martial arts, his time behind the decks seems to be standing the test of time. The 40-year-old has been trailing the Lions around Australia during this summer's tour, eight years since he donned the famous red jersey himself. And the budding club entertainer seems to be carving out quite a niche for himself in this particular field. Ex-Northampton Saints and Wasps star Haskell was previously hitched to fitness guru and lifestyle blogger Chloe Madeley. It's hardly shocking Madeley built her own media empire given her parents are the legendary ITV double act Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan. The pair began their romance in 2014 and tied the knot four years later. They welcomed daughter Bodhi in August 2022 but called time on their marriage the following year. Both have spoken about their dedication to co-parenting their daughter despite the split. Yet Haskell has owned up to his boozing being a contributing factor in their break-up after Chloe branded the run-up to their divorce as "incredibly scary." "If I put more time into my marriage than I did Guinness, then I wouldn't be divorced now," Haskell told MailOnline in June. "It's one of those things in life where some things don't work out, but I have so much love for my daughter and Chloe. It's teamwork." Years before he even crossed paths with Madeley, Haskell also enjoyed a blind date with the BBC's Helen Skelton back in 2010. By all accounts, their fleeting romance went rather swimmingly. "I'd like to," she told The Guardian when asked about the prospect of a second date. "He's fit, he made me laugh and it was good banter. We kissed. I think if we were both in the same country for more than five minutes, we'd go out and have a laugh. But he's off to Australia and I'm off to Singapore. Maybe we'll rendezvous in Terminal 5." Beyond spinning tracks, Haskell has turned his hand to entrepreneurship, launching Blackeye Gin with podcast buddies Mike Tindall and Alex Payne. His repertoire extends to after-dinner speaking gigs and penning a series of books that draw from his life and rugby experiences. Haskell jetted off to New Zealand as a last-minute call-up for the 2017 Lions tour, stepping in for the injured Billy Vunipola. Despite making four appearances that summer, a Test cap eluded him with the prestigious touring team. Yet Haskell isn't dwelling on past disappointments; instead, he's setting the vibe with his DJ sets during this year's successful series. And his Australian adventure is set to wrap up with a bang following the Sydney finale on Saturday.
