FKA Twigs kicked off the year with, in her words, a 'booming thud of culture' with the release of her third studio album Eusexua. The 'Childlike Things' singer kicked off her Eusexua Tour in the spring, and in June, she teased the release of a deluxe version of the album with a listening event with fans.
It appears that Twigs is preparing for the next chapter of the Eusexua era with the release of the new single 'Perfectly.' 'And so the offerings begin again,' she wrote in an Instagram post seemingly inaugurating the rollout. 'If 'Eusexua' was the tip of the tongue, 'Perfectly' is the esophagus,' she said. 'I wonder what lays in the belly of the beast.'
An upbeat club track complemented by Twigs' ethereal vocals, 'Perfectly' embodies the best of what Eusexua has to offer and shows that the shelf life of the album is nowhere near over yet.
"Another day, leave it all to another day / Leave it all to another day, another me / And when I'm done, they'll say I did it perfectly," she sings on the track. 'A sky of blue, a sea of green / A messy room, fits perfеctly / Inside my head I have thе best time / Yes, in my head, I have the best time.'
Twigs previously explained on social media what Eusexua means to her, not just as a project of alt-dance music but as part of her artistic identity.
'Eusexua has been my practice for the years that it has been in creation. It is my opus and truly feels like a pin at the center of the core of my artist,' she said. 'Eusexua was birthed in chicken scratch, written on the back of my hand in a toilet at a rave in Prague: 'This room of fools, we make something together' and we do. We rave, we sweat, we kiss, we make love to the booming thud of culture.'
The Eusexua Tour wraps up Aug. 9 in Budapest.

Geezer Butler recalls seeing 'frail' Ozzy Osbourne at final Black Sabbath rehearsal

Bassist Geezer Butler has recalled how Ozzy Osbourne appeared "frail" at the rehearsal for Black Sabbath's final concert. Last week, a representative for the Osbourne family announced that the rock music icon had died at the age of 76. Just two weeks earlier, Ozzy had joined his bandmates, including Geezer - real name Terence Butler - drummer Bill Ward, and guitarist Tony Iommi, for a farewell spectacle held at Villa Park in Birmingham, England. "Then it was time for Ozzy to join us," he wrote in an essay for The Sunday Times. "I knew he wasn't in good health, but I wasn't prepared to see how frail he was. He was helped into the rehearsal room by two helpers and a nurse and was using a cane - being Ozzy, the cane was black and studded with gold and precious stones." Geezer went on to describe how Ozzy seemed to have little energy in the run-up to the show. "He didn't really say much beyond the usual greetings, and when he sang, he sat in a chair," the musician continued. "We ran through the songs, but we could see it was exhausting him after six or seven songs. We had a bit of a chat, but he was really quiet compared with the Ozzy of old." In addition, Geezer noted that the "strangest part" of the final concert performance was the "end". "Normally, we would all hug each other and take a bow to the audience," he explained. "But Ozzy was on his throne and we hadn't thought that out. What do we do? Tony shook his hand, I presented him with a cake, but it was such a strange feeling to end our story like that. I wish I'd had more time backstage with Ozzy, but wishes are redundant now." Elsewhere in the essay, Geezer insisted Ozzy had a "heart of gold" despite adopting the nickname "Prince of Darkness". "To me, Ozzy wasn't the Prince of Darkness - if anything, he was the Prince of Laughter. He'd do anything for a laugh, a born entertainer," he added.

Drake postpones concert due to 'travel logistics'

Drake has postponed his planned Manchester, England concert at the last minute due to "travel logistics". The One Dance rapper was scheduled to perform as part of his co-headlining concert tour with PartyNextDoor, titled Some Special Shows 4 U, at the Co-op Live arena on Monday night. However, a representative for the venue announced on Sunday evening that the show will now take place on 5 August. "Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow's performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled," a post on the arena's website reads. "The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5th, and it's set to be an unforgettable night." All tickets remain valid for the new date. Drake has not yet commented on the news. The 38-year-old dropped the collaborative album, Some Sexy Songs 4 U, with fellow Canadian star PartyNextDoor, real name Jahron Brathwaite, in February. The Some Special Shows 4 U Tour marks his first trek of Europe in six years, following his Assassination Vacation Tour in 2019. Drake and PartyNextDoor will next play a trio of gigs at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam starting on 30 July.
